How to connect lvdt and loadcell to usb 6008

please help me iam dont know  how to choose a daq card. searched a lt but iam lost.
i want to measure force and displacement simultaneously of a suspension test rig and i wanted to use ni usb6008 because of my project budget.
can i use this daq card to measure these parameters ??
please reply.. thanks in advance.

Hi touheed,
To be able to determine whether or not using a NI USB-6008 would be suitable for your application it would be useful to get a little more information about the measurements you want to take. If possible would you be able to provide the voltage range you intend to measure with your instruments, and the sampling rate you require?
Also I noticed in the subject line that you're going to be using an LVDT, will you also be generating the voltage for this with the 6008, or will this be done seperately?
To give you some context, the NI USB-6008 does not take truly simultaneous readings at each instant, but will rapdily alternate between channels, giving effectively simultaneous samples. As this device has a sampling rate of 10 Ks/s, and you will be using 2 channels, the effective sampling rate for each input would be 5 Ks/s.

  • How can i connect 24VDC to digital input (usb 6008)

    hello,
how can i connect 24VDC to digital input (usb 6008), is it possible with some optocoupler?
    thanks

The 6008 is a static DIO, so speed shouldn't be an issue.  Therefore an optocoupler should work.  Just make sure you get one the meets your specs.

  • How to connect "Next" and "Previous" ?

    Hi everyone,
I am new in this with videoediting etc but I just managed to finish my first real videoproject and burned a DVD last night.
My first Encore project crashed after 3 days but I could start a new project and finish that one within 4 hours. Great program.
The DVD works fine except for1 thing:
I could not figure out how to connect "Next" and "Previous" in my Submenu for choosing clips.
So I just deleted these functions (!)
Looking forward to next project but I would like to use these 2 functions!
    Thanks in advance!
Great forums in Adobe with Great People!

    Thank you !
I thought it was to go to Next clip and previous clip. Not very good thinking.....
    Now I understand!
    Thanks again!

  • How to connect WRT54GX and WAP54G

    Hi,
I am using WRT54GX router and WAP54G access point in same floor. Could you please let me know how to connect access point with router? Kindly provide setting.
    Thanks!
    Gaurav

Hi, first connect one of your Pc to the router and log into the setup page of the router with http://192.168.1.1 . The username is blank and the password is admin. Under the wireless tab make a note of the ssid, wireless channel and under the wireless security page also make a note of the wep keys if you have provided any. Then click on the status tab and under the status tab you can click on the Local Network and note the Mac Address mentioned on this screen You can then connect the wap54g to the router and log into the setup page o the access point by http://192.168.1.245 . The username is blank and the password is admin. On the wireless screen you can change the ssid, the channel and the wep encryption accordingly.
Then on the setup screen you can click on the AP Mode and select the mode as Wireless Repeater an punch the Mac Address and then click on save settings. You can then unplug the access point from the router in order to get it working wirelessly.

You can store iWorks docs on iCloud, but you cannot share them with others.  The old iWorks beta web site let you host files for other remote users to have access to them, and iCloud (at least not now) does not allow that.

I agree with the rest of you folks. JDOM will be your best bet for integration. I am currently using JDOM to parse and/or create xml documents. As mentioned the tutorials are very good to check out. If you just want to hit the JDOM highlights and hit the ground running check out this link. http://www.jdom.org/downloads/docs.html
Take some time to check out the first 3 links on that page. They are JDOM and XML Parsing, Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3. Very good information about JDOM and XML parsing.
Hope some of this will help!

  • Can i connect imac and macbook by usb?

can i connect imac and macbook pro by using USB clable? i just want pass my files and music from macbook to imac.
    thank you

You can't connect both computers by USB. The easiest way is to connect them using a FireWire cable (if your iMac and your MacBook Pro have got FireWire ports), and put your MacBook in target disk mode (start your MacBook holding the T key).
Doing this, the iMac will detect the MacBook's hard disk as an external disk, so you can easily access to your files from Finder and copy the data you want to the iMac's hard disk

  • How to generate a waveform (with changeable update rate and sample) with USB 6008

    Apologize about my awful English.
In Tradition DAQ I can set different update rate with "AO Start" vi.
Transform into USB-6008 device things turn into quite different.
I don't know which vi I can setup update rate.
Is there any example for this.
    THX a lot!

    Hello D.
To use the USB-6008, you need to download DAQmx Base driver from the web at http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/CE3686A8D5B0CEDC86256FFD007C9C4A?opendocument&node=132070_US .
The driver will install with example programs that you can access by going to Start->Pograms->National Instruments->DAQmxBase->Examples. You new to have LabVIEW 7.x to use this driver.

Unfortunately your printer is only USB and unless you use something a hp jetdirect print server modules you will not be able to hookup to the router and make it a network printer. Also that USB on the router is mainly for network storage devices not regular USB hookups unless they state otherwise. AFAIK

  • W530 : How to connect 4 external displays without USB DOC

I want to connect multi displays without USB-DOC.
    Is it correct as follows?
    1. Change connector type from mini-display port to display port.
    2. "Display port to Dual display port adaptor" connect.
    3. At Each port, more "Display port to Dual display port adaptor" connect..
    Please tell me solution.
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    This setup won't work.
You would need a Series 3 Dock workstation with 2 sets of DP ports.
Then you would need a dp splitter for each of the DP ports on the dock.
