I dont have TV and I wanna connect my reciver to my macbook pro does anyone have any idea ?!

but he is using Firewire my reciever doesnt have Firewire, can i connect it to HDMI ?!

I assume this is a audio receiver.
So why do you use the i.Link (firewire) port to connect an audio receiver to the notebook ?:|
This notebook should support the S/PDIF jack. This lets you connect a audio-output device as a external speaker or a power amplifier. It allows the lossless digital transfer of audio data from device to another.
To connect the both devices you would need an S/PDIF cable ask your dealer for such compatible cable. He should know what would be compatible.

To connect laptop to TV is very easy. If you check Users manuals document you will find exact explanation how to do this.
If I am remembering well your notebook should have S-Video out port and for video signal transfer you must use S-Video cable. Hopefully your TV has S-Video IN port. If not you can use different adapters.
Please check this thread and read carefully posting written by Miro. He has explained very detailed how to connect laptop to the TV.

How to Connect my PC to Mac Mini Airport wirelessly?

This may be more of a PC question, but I'm trying to connect my PC laptop to my mac mini.
I turned on internet sharing on the Mini.
I can see my Airport wireless network on the PC, it says I'm connected.
I do not have a password enabled on the airport network.
The PC browser says it cannot find the server and will not load a webpage even though the wireless network connection window says I'm connected to my wireless network.
any ideas?

I would unplug the AirPort Express at this point and see if you can get the Internet sharing with the PC configured.
My Mac mini is connected to the internet by Ethernet cable to my ISP's gateway. I am sharing the Ethernet connection to two iPod Touches via AirPort from my Mac mini. These are the steps for internet sharing from Ethernet to AirPort. See if you have followed them correctly in configuring your kit.
1. In Sys Prefs/Sharing I highlighted Internet Sharing (do not check the box)
2. Share your connection from: Ethernet (from the dropdown menu)
3. To computers using: AirPort (check the little box)
4. Press the button AirPort Options...
5. Name your Network
6. I use Automatic for the channel
7. I encrypt my network using a 40-bit WEP key
8. For a non-Apple device you must use only a 5 alphanumeric character, 40-bit WEP password or only a 13 alphanumeric character 128-bit WEP password
9. Press OK
10. Check the box for Internet Sharing
11. Answer any dialog boxes that pop up
If everything on the Mac end is correct then the issue may lie with the PC since Windows is much more picky about how it is configured. Here is an article that may assist you in getting the PC correct;

Other things that you could try is to name your network with a short name without spaces, such as your Apple Discussions User Name. Also create WEP passwords of only 5 or 13 alphanumerics. Some also suggest an All Caps password.

To be clear: With S-Video cable you can transfer to the TV video signal only. For sound you need other cable. When you use S-Video cable you must enable S-Video port on the TV. When you do this the problem with color will be solved.
For audio you need audio adapter and audio cable. Both you can connect to the TV directly (if the ports are available red and white). If not you can connect it to SCART adaptor together with S-Video cable.

As far as I know you dont need to install a secondary video adapter. The notebook has got Video-out jack output to transfer the NTSC or PAL data to external devices (TV).
If you want to activate the TV output function, please go to Display Properties then click on Advanced. Please click now on Display Device tab.
There you can set the settings to TV and in the Multi-Monitor Devices section to LCD/TV. Dont forget the TV-Standard (PAL or NTSC).
Nevertheless with the key combination FN+F5 you can choose between the LCD and TV.

I want to connect my satellite set-top box to my Qosmio G50 laptop using the RCA video-in cable I received with the computer. (yellow, red, white RCAs and a Jack)
Could you help me where should I plug this cable as I have not found any instructions in the users manual. (The user's manual list this cable on page 21, so it can be used for something somehow for sure!)
(The set-top box does not have coaxial output, and I do not want to include another machine (eg. an old VCR) just to use coaxial connection.)

I am trying to connect my satellite L300 laptop to LCD tv via VGA port. I am having trouble getting the full desktop on TV. The left hand side of the screen is not visibe and there is a black strip on the right hand side of the screen. I have vista home premium edition installed and i am using 1360x768 resolution. Could any one please help me fix this.
My satellite L500D laptop connects fine with the TV usinG xactly same settings.

Please check in your graphic card settings if the option: Full Screen (no border) has been chosen.
This can be found in Aspect Ration Options.
Ive got a U400 with Intel graphic chip and this option is available there.
Furthermore some notebooks support an additional BIOS option where the screen could be set to full screen (no borders)

It seems to be that your notebook has no separate Video-out port but RGB only. This port is there if you want to connect external monitor.
Anyway, as far as I know, you can buy RGB adapter. I don't know which port you want to use on your TV but the best thing you can do is to visit TV store. Talk with dealers and explain what you want to do. they will give you the right adapter.

2 iMac + 2 MBP + 2 .me accounts + 1 extreme = How to connect Back to my Mac

I'm having trouble figuring out how Two .me accounts can access USB hard drives via Back to My Mac.
Under the apple extreme setup I can apply only one Mobile Me account at a time. (works great! I'm able to access my drives while I'm not at home.) But if the other person living in the house wants to access his drive while not at home how is this accomplished.
Here's some of the idea's:
1. Have one of us sign-in under the other user's mobile me account on their MacBook Pro and have it to NOT sync?
2. Get a family Mobile Me account and set up a third generic "person" and set that up in the extreme software.
3. Get a second Extreme and set the second one up w/ the other mobile me account (this came from a Mac genius after spending an hour in the store and this was their top network guy.)
4. Or should I just say "forget it" and get the pogoplug and cancel my mobile me accounts?

Wow, no one answered your question. It seems to me that Apple has taken the tact of allowing only one user to use Back To My Mac on the Airport ExTreme.
I suggest the Pogoplug. It is not as optimal as BTMM, IMHO, but it does a very nice job for the cost. I have 1TB on mine, and have enjoyed the use. Even the iPhone app allows access to the files. You cannot get to your Airport disk easily with iPhone

In my opinion you use wrong port. I am not 100% sure but I believe you have S-Video port on notebook and use this port to connect your notebook to the TV.
You need just the right cable. When connected enable S-Video port on TV.
Generally speaking the same is with VGA port.
Has your TV VGA port or you use some adapters?
