How to connect shuffle to a VW stereo??

Got tired of looking for an adapter to connect my shuffle to my car stereo. I have a VW which comes with the 30-pin connector cable but the shuffle does not connect to that. Anyone knows how to connect??

With the cable that shipped with the iPhone. One end of the cable is a USB connector.

  • Is there a possibility to connect a third generation I Pod Shuffle to a car stereo?

    Hello,
    I recently bought a 3th generation I Pod Shuffle.
I want to connect it to my car stereo but i don't know how or even if it's possible?
    Thx for the help!

The kind without buttons? You'd have to get an adaptor to control it, there are two brands available on amazon but they are both poorly reviewed I'm afraid. You'd also have to get a male-male adaptor to connect it to your stereo (assuming it even has a headphone jack input, most newer cars do.)

  • How can I shuffle a playlist in iTunes for an iPod so my stereo play a large playlist in a seemingly random order

I have an iPod classic that I plug into my car stereo.  My car stereo can play playlists, or if just plug it in, it will play every song in alphabetical order.  Once plugged in, I cannot use the iPod to "shuffle".  I require a pre-shuffled playlist.  I have done this before in iTunes 11 will special instructions, but I've since misplaced those instructions.  I know how to build a large playlist of all of my songs.  Now, how do I shuffle that list of, say, 20,000 songs, and save to a new shuffled playlist?  Don't say it can't be done, because I've done it.  I know Apple removed the ability to do this quickly and easily, because obviously Apple doesn't really take their customers wants and needs into account.  Otherwise, they would see the thousands of complaints after they removed that feature.
So, is there anyone here that can help me?   I don't really need to hear that it's not supported or that it used to work.  If you know how to shuffle a playlist and save it in that shuffled state, please post the steps for doing this in Windows iTunes 11.
    Thank you in advance,
    Bluemookie

Just go to Settings, Shuffle, then turn it to Songs. The songs will stay in the same order in the playlist, but they'll switch it up.

  • How to connect old aiport express to my new Airport Extreme? My Ipad says "base station e5713b cannot be configured" and my AirPort tool on my PC will not permit me to add my new Airport Extreme network (no network names to choose from)

How to connect old aiport express to my new Airport Extreme?
I have a PC running with Win7 and just replaced my Jensen With a brand New Airport Extreme.
I have set up the Airport Extreme to the internet, Iphones and Ipads and it work as it should.
I have downloaded latest Version of Airport tool on my PC. In addition i have downloaded the airport tool for Ipad.
I have reset one of my airport Express and it now shows up both on the Ipad and on the PC airport tool.
My Ipad says "base station e5713b cannot be configured."
I have wired the airport Express to my Ethernet to be able to "see it" on my Airport tool.
My AirPort tool on the PC will not permit me to add the airport Express to my new Airport Extreme network (no network names on the drop-down list to choose from). I wished for an easy set-up, but nothing seems to be plug and play as the Commercial says.. can you please help me?
    Sigve

    Hi
    Thanks for Swift reply.
Yep - I in fact have two A1088 and one A1264
I actually bought the new router because the Jensen
router always lost connection to the Airport Express after some hours or days. I
always needed to restart my Jensen to play music and that was driving my wife
mad. The hope was that the Extreme should fix this. Both A1088 have been set up
to only stream music to two of my stereo amplifiers from my PC’s Itunes library.
    Are the A1088 now useless?
The A1264 has been set up to feed internet into a Denon Reciever that needed Ethernet cable.
    Please advise
    Regards

This is probably easy, but what can i say... just call me stupid.
I've got the lead that goes out of the headphone jack, it links up to my hifi nice.
Trouble being, there's a nasty hiss in the background. Tried plugging my boys mp3 player into the lead, and that works fine.
Any chance of some help... thanks

    Hi
In my knowledge you can connect the Sat Pro P100 to HiFi only via a 2-RCA Audio Y cable adapter. In my knowledge the notebook does not support the S/PDIF audio out so you will be able only to use an analog sound port.
You could also buy a stereo adapter with 2x cinch jacks to connect the notebook to the Hifi. Such adapter can be plugged into the headphone jack
    Check this:

I think you should visit the nearest notebook dealer. He can show you the right and supported cables and adapters.

  • How to connect macbook pro to panasonic tv with hdmi cable

How to connect macbook pro to panasonic hd tv with hdmi cable

    Hi m,
It depends which MPB you have and the inputs on the TV. The following assumes your TV has an HDMI input which will work with a computer.
This is if your MBP is from April 2010 or newer:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4241
First connect the adapter to the MBP and the HDMI cable from the adapter to the TV, then go to System Preferences > Sound > Output > select HDMI.
Or if your MBP is older than that and you have a Mini DisplayPort, you can use something like this: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/CBLMDPHDMID/
If it's older than that, for video you need a DVI or mini DVI to HDMI or whatever input your TV has. For audio, you need a 3.5mm stereo mini plug to RCA or optical (Toslink), depending on what audio input your TV has.

You have two choices. You can use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo cable or for best results use a digital audio cable between them.

  • How to Connect Airport Express to Existing Wireless Network (Client Mode)

I am posting this for everyone tearing their hair out trying to connect the Airport Express to your own existing home wireless network. After spending 2 hours last night installing this on my father-in-law's home network, I hope to be able to save someone else the agony we went through.
    So here's the situation:
Say you already have your own home network set up, and all you want is to be able to use AirTunes to play music off iTunes into your speaker system. And, you don't need the printer sharing capability nor creation of another wireless network (2 of the features of Airport Express). Then this solution is for you - read on.
Unfortunately, Apple's user manual is very unclear how to connect Airport Express to your own network. When you look at the picture diagram they provide, they show Airport Express picking up its signal from another Apple-oriented base. This can make you think you need to buy another piece of hardware to make it work. DON'T If you read through the manual, the Support section here, etc., you will hear lots of talk about "Client Mode" - and that this is the only way to get it to work. Nice - but no one really tells you how to set up the Airport in client mode.
Do yourself a favor, toss that user manual aside and run these steps.
(Note: These directions assume your DSL/Cable Modem is hooked up to a wireless router or acts as its own wireless router)
    1. Get a cat5 Ethernet cable (anything but an orange cable - that's a crossover cable) like you would use to connect your PC to your router to pick up the Internet.
    2. Connect the Ethernet cable to the router on one end, and to the Airport Express unit on the other end.
    3. Plug in your Airport Express unit to the wall (this will not necessarily become its permanent location - you will be able to move it later). The light will glow solid Amber for about 30-45 seconds while it starts up, then blink Amber. At this point, the unit is ready to operate.
    4. Install the CD to the PC where your iTunes music is stored. This should be painless. Once you open the program, it should detect the Airport unit.
    5. At this point, the on-screen wizard will present you with your options, and walk you through the setup. This is much like the user manual describes - and you should be good to go form here forward.
    Some pointers:
    - When asked if you want to create a new network, join an existing network, or connect via Ethernet, choose the middle option for joining an existing network. You will need to know the name of your network, the password to connect to the network (if present), and the type of encryption used on the network (e.g. WEP, WPA, etc.). Side note, WPA is recommended, as it is a higher level of security than WEP. You will be able to configure the Airport Express unit to automatically login to your network.
    - I would recommend, when creating a password for the Airport Express unit, use the same password as your network, to avoid confusion.
    6. The very last step will ask you to save the settings to the Airport Express. Here's the kicker - when you save the settings, you are TRICKING the Airport Express into no longer acting as a network broadcaster, but instead being a "slave" to your own network. What do I mean? You will lose the connection from your PC to the Airport Express - an error message will pop up telling you the unit can no longer be found. While you might think you did something wrong, you actually were successful!
    7. Unplug your Airport Express, and disconnect the Ethernet cable from your router and the Airport unit. This will no longer be needed.
    8. Go to your desired location where you want to plug in your Airport Express unit. Before plugging it in, connect your Audio cable from the Airport Express to your audio receiver. Once that is connected, then plug in the Airport Express unit. The light will glow solid Amber for 30-45 seconds while it loads, and then will blink Amber for a brief period of time before turning solid GREEN. When this happens, you have successfully connected the Airport Express to your home network!
    9. Go back to your PC with iTunes. Open the Airport software - you should now have a listing for your Airport Express unit in the upper left. Click on this, and the wizard will guide you through connecting - you will need the password you created for the unit. You only need to go through this wizard once, and when finished, the software will tell you that can now use iTunes with your Airport unit.
    10. Open iTunes. On the lower right, you will see a dropdown for Speakers, and it should be defaulted to My Computer. Click on that drop-down, and you will see the name of your Airport unit. Click on that name, and now your music will broadcast to the Airport unit!
    11. Play a song in iTunes. Go to your audio receiver, and connect it to the channel for your external connection to the Airport Express unit. You should hear your music from iTunes. CONGRATULATIONS! =)
I hope these instructions were helpful - I am happy to answer any questions, so feel free to contact me, *******************@*****.**.

Thanks for the detailed directions. You are absolutely correct in stating that people should toss the user manual; it's pretty worthless. I have had a problem setting up my new Airport Express as I have described in an earlier post - http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1839873&tstart=45
One quick question - does using your setup process set the AE up as part of a distributed network where the AE is acting as a wireless router where it is extending the range of your network? Or, is it simply a wireless connection to your stereo for iTunes? I am interested in having both, since my AE will be at the other end of the house from the main wireless router.
    Thanks

  • Trouble properly connecting Shuffle to PC

We use Windows Vista Home Premium, iTunes v8.0.1
My son has iPod Shuffle. He once had registered this Shuffle on PC1 but
since PC1 is not longer being used, his Shuffle is now used on PC2.
Whenever we connect Shuffle to PC2 and try to open up his iTunes library, there is a message
that states something like "Your iPod is registered on two PCs. iTunes library can only be registered on one PC. Would you like to erase contents from iPod?"
If we answer "no" to above, Shuffle is not recognized by PC2.
If we answer "yes" to above, the operation will delete entire contents from Shuffle and then we must everytime manually copy contents from iTunes library to Shuffle so we can listen to music from the Shuffle.
I tried initializing Shuffle to its factory state but above message still comes out.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve such message from showing up each time?

    IMO, you have 2 options:
    1. Allow iTunes on PC2 to sync the iPod (click 'yes' to the question you cited); every time this has happened to me, the messages stopped after I synced the Shuffle to the 'new' computer.
    2. There are 3rd-party [that is, non-Apple] free utilities available on the web that will allow you to copy the Pod's contents to the PC before the syncing process erases the Pod, so you won't 'lose' any of that content.
Disclaimer: I'm a Mac-guy, so the advice I give you is based on my experiences w/ iTunes and iPod Shuffles on Macs, and it is possible some things work differently on PCs that I am unaware of.

  • SB Live! 5.1 how to connect with my HiFi-Syst

    Hey,
I want to connect my Soundblaster Li've! 5. with my amplifier.
The amplifier is connected to two stereo loudspeaker.
It?s kind of an old amplifier with DIN connections, so I have to use a Cinch to DIN adapter. But the adapter has two cinch cables, one for the left signal and one for the right. (http://www.starcom-edv.de/shop/pics/AudioAdapter_DIN_St-Cinch_St_s.jpg)
I really don?t know how to connect it to my Soundcard. (http://img55.imageshack.us/img55/4602/picture0032vf.jpg)
Aditional I want to connect my PC with my TV, so I need one Line-Out for my TV.
    Please hep me!

Is tha 2 x RCA to DIN intend for playback or recording input (or are those DIN connector wires equal for Input and output purposes)?
You need another cable: 2 x RCA to 3.5mm (/8") stereo mini jack plug to get the SB and Hi-Fi connected. Connect the PC just the way, you would connect a casette deck into a stereo system (if you know how to do this) so, you get both playback and recording capability or just connect the output from PC into Hi-Fi system).
For that TV connection, do you mean you would use the TV as output device (PC --> TV)?
If that's what you're after, then just use the another line-out from your Li've card for that connection, otherwise (TV -> PC) connect the TV output into Li've Line-In or into some of those, possible available, internal analog inputs (AUX_IN, CD-AUDIO, etc.).
