How to connect to itunes from school computer

I am a primary school teacher trying to copy the apps from iPad to computer. However it wont connect to itunes store and therefore says i do not have permision, I assume that this is problably due to the proxy server. Has anyone got any ideas on how to solve this issue? Cheers Dan

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Unless you've moved away from the default iTunes settings simply copying the entire iTunes folder from <User's Music> on the source machine into <User's Music> on the target computer (over a network, or via an intermediate copy on a portable drive) will transfer the library.

No. The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing : File>Transfer Purchases Make sure you are signed into the account from which the songs were purchased.
You need to move everything from the old computer or backup copy of the old computer to the new one.

i bought an older macbook computer from a relative that still had his itunes on it. How do i get all his music off and get it to sync to my phone or ipod without losing what is on those devices? I tried to just delete it and reinstall it but that did not work. thanks.

Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

It's probably your iTunes library files that are messing things up for you. Make sure iTunes is closed, then go into "My Music" found in "My Documents", and then open the iTunes folder. There's an iTunes Library.itl (you might not see the file extension) and an iTunes Music Library.xml. There should also be a Previous iTunes Libraries folder. Delete both the first two files I mentioned, and go into the Previous iTunes Libraries folder. Copy the library that is dated on the day you upgraded to iTunes 7. Paste it in the iTunes folder (the one where the files were that you deleted. Then rename the file to just "iTunes Library.itl". You should then be able to open the older version of iTunes.
