How to connect to tv wirelessly

how do I connect my mac book pro wirelessly to my tv?

my computer on my tv when i say free i mean i dont want to buy anything to make this prosses work
I'm sorry there is no magic to make this work without some cables and adapters for a wired connection or a transmitter/receiver for a wireliss connection.  The only way this could ever possibly be free is if you already have the appropriate devices.  Otherwise nothing is free.
If you decide on a wired connection  you need to specify  your video port is (mini-dvi, mini-diplayport/thunderbolt).  Then you need an adapter for that to HDMI.
For wireless there McTiVia and Veebeam.

  • How to connect a E1200 wireless router to a machine tool network for wireless communications

Hello all, I am new to the forum, hope someone can help me out. I am wanting to connect my E1200 wireless router to a machine tool in our factory that has programmable controllers and is connected to the machine components via ethernet connections. This is so we can troubleshoot the machine without having a wired laptop. We have several ethernet switches on the machine and a range of IP addresses say from 192.16.1.1 through 192.16.1.150, and 192.16.17.1 through 192.16.17.150, all of the addresses are not used but random addresses in the range. I would like to be able to connect my E1200 to either one of the networks without having to make a change in the router setup. I can make it work on either network but when I switch my cable to the other network it has to be reconfigured. I am currently connecting my data cable to a ethernet port on the router and changing my router address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.16.1.1 and selecting a range of 150 so it will assign numbers as needed. This works great until I change to the other network and I have to change my router address to 192.16.17.1, I know this can be done on some routers because the technicians from the machine builder use them when working on the machines. thanks

On the basic setup tab make the changes shown below:
This basically make the router disappear off the existing networks and turns it into a wireless AP.
Then when you set your laptop's wireless adapter to whatever IP network you want to connect to.
If you need to connect to your router again change the laptop's adapter IP to something like 192.168.200.2
Keep in mind nothing ever gets plugged into the Internet Port on the router.
What I do with these manufacturing machine's is put them on the company network with static IP's. Then so operators can transfer programs and view drawings I place ELO touchscreens at each location. For the Laser cutter operators that do nesting they have a desktop workstation for the CAD software and put the nests on a network share or direct to the laser cutters.
Please remember to Kudo those that help you.

  • How to connect E4200 to Wireless Dell Printer

I feel like i should know this...i set it up on my last wireless router my wrt54g......but now i cfan't figure out for the E4200 or the printer....please help!

You might have installed your router using the Cisco connect software. Open the Cisco connect software and go to Router settings. You will find the wireless network name and password.
Note down the password for the wireless network.
Search for the wireless network on your printer. Select your wireless network and enter the password. Once you connect to the wireless network, you will be able to print.

  • How to connect to a wireless network on a i mac g4

After I installed the airport card I restarted my router, I noticed other networks except for mines appeared. Any suggestions on what to do to access my wireless network?

Have you ever configured the network yourself (in terms of changing the network name/password, etc), or is it the same settings that Comcast created? You will need to find out the wifi speed and security before you can determine if it's compatible with your Airport card.
Sometimes the encryption type is written on a sticker on the router itself.
Often you can log into the router yourself, even with an ISP-managed router, and look at the settings. Do you have any other computers connected to the wireless network? Try to determine their local IP address, and that should tell you the router address. (e.g. on a Mac, go to System Preferences - Network). You would log into your router using http://192.168.1.1, for example, if that's the address.

  • How to connect non-Apple wireless networks?

    Hello
Before I start, I know very little about networking, so could do with some assistance please!
In my office, I have a MacPro, fitted with an airport extreme. I also have a TL-WR1043ND Wireless N Gigabit Router, which I have connected to a ReadyNas NV+.
In my house, I use my MacBook Pro connected wirelessly. The internet is accessed via a TP-Link TD-W8961ND 300Mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router.
Both the MacPro and the MacBook Pro connect to the internet cia the TD-W8961ND. The TL-WR1043ND resides on a separate wireless network. The idea is that I can access and store data wirelessly using the ReadyNas (which incidentally has become an issue since upgrading to Lion).
The NAS needs to be kept in my office so it is secure and there is no direct telephone link to the office.
Cutting a long story short, I'd like to make the two networks into one, so I was wondering if I could use the TL-WR1043ND as some sort of wireless access point (connected to the NAS) and joining it to the wireless network of the W8961 ADSL2 router.
I don't know how to do this, so was wondering if somebody could help and perhaps guide me through some of the settings? I've searched the interweb abyss, without any joy.
    All the best
    Hoffmeister

As you can imagine, this forum is primarily for assistance with Apple networking so it may be a bit difficult to really be able to provide you with a step-by-step on how to configure both of these routers for Wireless Distribution System (WDS).
I did a bit of research and found the following TP-Link Support article that describes how to do this with a pair of their TD-W8960N routers and it may be worth reviewing to see if it can help you with yours.

  • How to connect a mac wirelessly to a pc?

My husband's pc is currently hooked up to the internet using a cable modem. I'd like to wirelessly connect my G4 imac but can't seem to figure out how to do that. Does his computer need a router and mine needs an airport card? Thanks for any suggestions.

gdbabe, Welcome to the discussion area!
The simplest way is to get an inexpensive wireless router. Connect the cable modem directly to the WAN/Internet port on the wireless router. Connect the PC to one of the LAN ports on the wireless router.
If you want your iMac G4 to connect wirelessly, then yes it would need some type of wireless connectivity.
If the clock speed of your iMac G4 is 700 or 800 MHz, it requires the original 802.11b AirPort card. It is NOT compatible with the newer AirPort Extreme card.
If the clock speed of your iMac G4 is 1 GHz or above, it requires the AirPort Extreme card. It is NOT compatible with the original AirPort card.

  • How to connect to Linksys Wireless Print Server (WPS54GU2) from WIndows 7

I tried the Print Server Utility that was loaded from the WPS54GU2 user install disk. Ended up with an AddPort error.
Went ahead and created local printer for printer I was trying to get to (Epson Color Stylus 400). Did a "Printer Properties" on the printer after it is was created and clicked on the "Port" tab. Clicked on the "Add Port" button and selected "Standard TCP/IP Port" from list. Clicked on "New Port" . Wizard came up and clicked "Next" on this screen. I typed in the IP address of my Print Server (with no Port Name) and let it search for a while and it eventually failed. A screen came up requesting "additional port information" so I clicked on the "Custom" button and then clicked on the"Settings" button. Here I typed in the correct port name (which in my case was like LKxxxxxx where the x's are numerics). The IP address is already filed in. I checked the LPR button and made up a Queue Name and typed it into the Queue Name text box.
After clicking OK I tried printing to the printer and everything seemed to work correctly.

    Corleone
I have the same issue as I have a new Windows 7 machine that is hardwired to my Linksys WPS54G.  This is my main office PC and I have other computers throughout the house that are connected wirelessly to the WPS54G.  I've tried to create a new port for printing based on the posts from other users but it still won't work.  I've run the Linksys configuration and my PC sees the printer server.  Am I missing a step?
    Here is what I've done
    Go to ports
    Add new port
    Standard TCP/IP Port
Click new port (Wizard comes up)
Enter printer name and IP address ( I enter my IP address for the Print Server 192.168.1.x)- Port name is same as IP Address (does this matter?)
Go to custom settings and set for LPR with Queue name of LP1 (or should it be L1?)
    LPR Byte count box checked
    Click next and finish
Do I need to restart my computer?
    What am I missing
    Thank you

  • How to connect Time Capsule wirelessly (without hard wire connection)

Okay, so just bought a Time Capsule, and in the process of setting it up, I am being told by Airport Utility that I need to hardwire the TC to my wireless router in order for it create a network.....
My question:  Is there anyway around this?  Is there anyway I can create an extended WiFi connection thru the TC without hardwiring?   I have a wifi extender (NetGear universal wifi range extender WGN3000) and was hoping that TC would connect to it and act as a second extender relay.
I hope my question is clear.
Also, is my understanding correct that if the TC is not hardwired, and it does not possess a wireless connection, then in order to backup my computer, I must connect to the basestation in Airport, and during that time I will be unable to use the internet??
    THanks!!

We always say to people do the first backup by ethernet anyway.. wireless takes far too long.. once you are just doing incremental then it is ok by wireless.
But wireless halves in speed for every hop.. so make sure there is only ever one wireless link between the TC and the computer if at all possible. If you join it by wireless to the network.. you will have no gain.. and lots of pain.. plus half what are already poor speeds.. so you may as well just connect to the router by ethernet.. and bridge the TC.. you can then also setup wireless .. particularly 5ghz which the rest of your network probably doesn't use so you have a faster than normal link both to internet and TC for backup.. when you are in the same room.. link at 5ghz gives great speed and poor range.. go more than one room away and it will generally fall away to nothing.
