How to connect to wireless keyboard

new iMac fails to connect to either wireless keyboard or mouse... any hints on how to proceed?

First, a basic question...
Do you have blue tooth swithched on? You can check at System Preferences/Bluetooth. You will need it switched on for the devices toconnect.

How can i connect a Wireless Keyboard and a Trust mouse to a brand new Mac mini?

Go to the Bluetooth icon on the menu bar and select "Set Up Bluetooth Device". Follow the wizard.
Alternatively, if you haven't yet unboxed and setup the Mini, you can pair the keyboard to the Mini (and possibly the mouse). However, I would set up with a USB keyboard and mouse and pair the Bluetooth devices afterwards.

I've just updated to 10.6.8 and lost my Bluetooth connection (no wireless keyboard or touchpad). How do I get it back?
I went to About this Mac and under Bluetooth it says No information found. However, before the update, both the keyboard and pad worked fine.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
There probably isn't a lot you can do, since the router settings will be beyond your control. Many such services in hotels and the like, use a system whereby you need to login through a webpage, since the Apple TV cannot display webpages, there is no way around this. You would probably be best asking at reception if this is the case.

    That is not correct sabretooth04,
The Deskjet Ink Advantage 4625 only support USB or Wi-Fi, it does not provide any Ethernet connectivity and therefore a Wireless router is essential for the web services to work.
The specifications can be found in here:

ichleiben57 - As your printer only support wireless connection you will either need a wireless router, bridging your wired ADSL router with a wireless access point or replacing the printer to a different model which support wired ethernet connection.

  • No connection between wireless keyboard and IMac

I had to change batteries in my wireless keyboard for my Imac. After that I did not manage to reestablish the connection between the keyboard and the machine. I did not manage to get the blue tooth going again before I went to bed and the session timed out , my IMac is now locked and since my keyboard does not work I am not able to type the password. How can I solve this?

Are the batteries installed properly?  Have you tried other batteries?
Have you read for possible solutions over in the "More Like This" thread over here?----------------------->
Plan B:  It's a good idea to keep a wired keyboard as a standby.  Suggest that you get hold of one.

  • Logitech mouse started to lag after connecting Apple Wireless Keyboard

    Hi,
I'm using Logitech Anywhere MX mouse with Logitech unifiying reciever on my iMac and everything was working perfectly fine until I have
recently bought an Apple Wireless Keyboard. For some reason after connecting the keyboard to my iMac my mouse started to lag.
I'm not sure how this is connected to each other as keyboard is bluetooth and mouse is wifi but at this stage I wish that my cable keyboard
    would never broke.
My whole Mac OS X software is up to date and so are the Logitech drivers (Control Center). Is any of the users expriencing such issues ?
    Any advices ?
    Regards,
    Jakub

Thank you for your reply, I have repaired the device but it didn't helped, but switching USB ports seems to do the work, although not sure why Anyways - thank you very much!

  • Why can't I connect my wireless keyboard?

I'm at my wits end. I bought an Apple wireless keyboard for my Intel Macbook and can't make it "discoverable", or indeed, hook it up at all. I go thru the Prefs set-up but when it reaches the page where it has to find the keyboard the gear just spins eternally and never finds the keyboard, despite that it has new Duracells, and the "on" button is pushed. I tried touching a keyboard key as suggested - nothing! Once, the keyboard did actually show up in the "discover device" page and I highlighted it and "continued", but the next page was no better - it stalled there too.
What am I doing wrong? I'm ready to throw the GD thing into the East River!

    HellO:
You failed to mention in your first post that the KB was paired with your phone.  A Bluetooth device may only be paired/connect to one device at a time.  You will have to delete it (I have no clue how you would do that with a phone) from the iPhone and then connect it to the computer.

  • Why do I have to keep re-connecting my wireless keyboard?

I have an older wireless keyboard, the acrylic with white keys, and i have to keep re-connecting the signal after long periods of rest. It switches to different symbols and just doesn't work right unless I shut it off and turn it back on again. Do I HAVE to but the new keyboard?

    Hello:
Before you buy a new one, try resetting the PRAM and SMC.  You might also make the KB a favorite.

  • Will i be able with Mac mini to connect a wireless keyboard and mouse (via USB) for first boot ?

Please answer . I ask that because I saw on a video showing its first boot , saying" connect a Bluetooth keyboard" . So I am worried . It's about its latest version . Thanks!

If your devices are using a USB dongle, the Mini will
likely see a mouse or keyboard connected via this method as
"wired" devices.  These dongles are configured this way
so that the host computer need not know anything about
    the wireless connection.
