How to connect Trigger USB-6009 on a flowmeter

I have a flowmeter with the data:
sensing principle: hall-effect, non contacting
output square wave: NPN o.c.
Voltage supply: 4,5-24 VDC
output current: 13mA max
more you can find in the attachement and i use the USB-6009.
How i have to connect the flowmeter to the trigger (PFI0)?
Thanks in advance for any help!

The Problem
is the connection. How to connect the flowmeter to the

  • EPC3925 mit USB Festplatte verbinden / How to connect an USB HDD to an EPC3925

    Moin!
Ich habe hier ein EPC3925 Kabelmodem stehen und möchte gerne eine USB Festplatte daran anschließen. Wie wird das gemacht?
    HI!
I have an EPC3925 cablemodem and want to connect an USB HDD. How I have to do this?

Is this external USB HDD formatted in NTFS? It would have to be either FAT32, or preferably HFS+, to be usable from the Time Capsule (TC) as a shareable AirPort Disk. If it is already in FAT32 or HFS+, you may need to use a powered USB hub for it to be recognized as the USB port on the TC provides limited power to connected devices.

  • How to connect my USB internet modem to iPad2?

    hi,
I am looking for way to connect my USB internet modem stick to iPad2; I understand one way is to get a pocket Internet hub and thru that I can connect via WiFi.
But is there any way that we can directly connect the USB modem to iPad and use it?

A 3G wireless router may do the job. I have used that years ago.

  • How to Connect a USB-to-Wireless printer to a Wireless Network without a PC

Some printers from HP do not have a Wireless Setup Wizard built into the front panel for connecting to a network.  These models install to a computer through a USB connection and the software then sends the wireless information across the USB cable to the printer.  However, you may not always have a computer present and still need to connect these printers to a wireless network.  You can use a wireless device, such as an iPad, to do this.  For the example below I have used an iPad and a Deskjet 3510 series printer.
The first step is to make sure your printer is broadcasting a network (Ad-Hoc).  To do this, turn the printer on and press the wireless button or turn wireless off, then on in the Setup menu. Connect the iPad (or other wireless device) to the wireless signal being broadcast by the printer.
Once the iPad is connected to the printer as a network connection, open the Web Browser on the iPad.  Type 192.168.223.1 in the address bar and go to that site.  The printer's status page should load and look similar to the image below.
Click on the Network tab at the top of the Status page.  You may get a prompt warning about being redirected to an HTTPS site.  Click Ok on the message box to continue.  When you click OK, you may get a warning regarding the certificate or server identity.  Select the option that lets you continue.  The wording will vary from browser to browser, but there should be an option to continue anyway.
Network status page should now be loaded at this point.  Select Wireless Setup Wizard to start the wireless network setup and click Next.
When next is selected, it should list the available wireless networks.  Select your network from this list and select next.  When the network is selected, it should be highlighted.
Enter the network’s password, if any, and select next.
A message should be received indicating the name and if security is enabled.  The message below that should indicate the settings were saved successfully.  If it says the settings were saved successfully with an error, the network setup is more than likely functioning.  Select Ok at the bottom.
After selecting OK, select Status to verify the printer is connected successfully.  It may take a few minutes for the wireless light on the printer to stop flashing.  Once it is a solid blue, the printer should be on the network and functioning.
Once this is completed, then you will be able to reconnect to your normal wireless signal (Wireless Router) for internet access.  Now both the iPad and printer are on the same Home Network.

  • USB-6009 Digital Output Current

You need to have all those grounds connected together - USB-6009 Digital Ground, ULN2003 GND, and the power supply ground. In this case it will not matter how they are connected.  If they are not connected, then one of the devices could be damaged.
    Lynn

Hi, I'm trying to increase the voltage of the digital outputs of USB-6009 device. I read a couple topics about using a relay but I could not manage it.
I was thinking to use 5V supply on the card since it has 200mA current on it, but when I use it with open-collector output, it can not switch the relay. When I measure the current between
    5V and ground: 200mA,
5V and output, I read a value around 30-40 mA.
Why can't I use that 200mA with an output? This is the relay I'm using.
If this is not possible, can I use an external 5V supply (with more current) and a digital output to switch the relay without damage the 6009?

  • Equium M40X-189: How to connect RGB port to RS232 port?

    Hi,
as you know the Equium M40X-189 P-M 730/XP has an RGP monitor port and does not have RS232 port.
Im working with Auto-titration device which require RS232 port for connection!
Any idea of how i can connect my notebook to this device!
    pls help
    thanks

    Hi
As far as I know the RS-232 port is a serial port and I dont think that its possible to connect the RGB port to the RS232 port.
But I have found the useful website:
    http://www.ontrak.net/usb.htm
There you will find a description how to connect the USB port to a RS-232 port.
    You need a ADU interface.
    Check the link.

  • Usb 6009:connecting the sensor and motor

    Hi there,
I am new to the labview also the usb-6009. I want to know if I can connect my sensor to the device. The output of the sensor is either analog voltage, pulse width or serial. If I want to use the AN pin, can I just connect the wire to the ADC from the usb or I need to add some circuit before connect it to the usb?also, if I want to control the brushless dc motor with the driver, can I just connect the wire from the motor driver direct to the device? How to connect it?
    Thanks

You can connect analog voltages directly to the USB-6009 to be measured as long as they do not exceed the input limits (-10V to +10V).
Connecting the motor directly to the outputs is a bad idea.
    Digital output is 0-5V, 8.5mA
    Analog output is 0-5V, 5mA
So unless your motor draws less than 5mA (extremely unlikely) you'll blow up your DAQ!
You will need to buffer the outputs somehow unless you are just driving logic gates.
It's all on the datasheet... http://www.ni.com/pdf/products/us/20043762301101dlr.pdf

  • How to use counter as an start and stop trigger in 6009

    Hi ALL.
I'm using USB 6009 as a subject of to acquire data.
I would like to know on how to use the counter digital input as a start and stop trigger.
The acquisition will only start when the first pulse of the digital signal is received and it will stop when the desired number of pulse is received.
I was trying to use the VI as attachment as my reference. However, after tried, the VI is not working for USB 6009 as the counter input cannot be used as a trigger.
I would be happy if anyone could suggest me some ideas on this matter.
    Thanks.

    Hi Kate.
    Thanks for your response.
For your information, I've design my VI using the counter method. However, it doesnt work well. Please see the figure below. The file also attached with this reply.
At first, the first counter from Device 2 will start counting. If the counting equal 0, then the acquisition for Device 1/AIO also the counter of Device 1/ctr0 begin acquiring data and counting the edges respectively.
However, when I did the test, it doesn't work as wanted. It is happened because when counter of device 2 in not equal to 0, the acquisition for Device 1 not happened as it will go to false state.
Is there anything that someone could suggest on how to start the acquisition for device 1 only and if the counter of device 2 is equal to 1. I would like the acquisition of device 1 start only when the counter of device 2 is equal to 1. I cannot use the trigger as 6009 is not support for it.

How to connect my Iridium 9555 to a USB connector on the Mac OS 10.7.3?
i can not create a new network configuration via USB interface on 10.7.3.

    Doesn't look like they've updated their driver in a while.  October 15 - 2010.
Typically old drivers and 10.7 don't get along so well.  Short answer, unless you know how to write a driver, you might be outa luck.

  • How do I set up a triggered analog output on a USB 6009?

Hi! I am very new to LabView and am working on the control portion of my senior ME design project. It is an anti-tip brake system for a bicycle. The goal is: When critical time to tip is reached (by reading values from a rear wheel normal force sensor, taking the derivative and calculating this critical time), my cheap DAQ USB-6009 device will put out an analog signal to a transistor, which will spin a DC motor (attached to a worm gear setup) for a certain length of time (...This will change a pivot location in the mechanical assembly which will decrease brake mechanical advantage).
I have been trying to work with LabView 8.5. I get bogged down in confusion when I try to use G-code and get unexplained errors in using Express VI's (they're rather black box-ish to me).
I think that all I need to do is set up an analog input channel, take derivatives and values and put them into a formula for critical time. Then if the result is a "True", I want to begin an analog out sequence for a certain period of time (to get the motor to the right position).
I would appreciate any help that I can get with this one.

    chowph,
    You are
correct with your last statement about performing a comparison on your data.
    1.  Are there any error codes or messages in the
errors you are getting? Or if you have screenshots of the errors you could post
then that would work too.  Knowing the
errors would help in understanding where to start.
    2.  In your previous
post did you have a chance to try the examples or Kent’s example code he
    posted?
    3.  What were the results of those examples and
    your experiment?  Again screenshots would
    work fine here.
    Since you
new to LabVIEW make sure to take advantage of the online training material and
tutorials we have on ni.com.  I have posted
