How to connect windows 8 HP laptop to Toshiba TV using HDMI

I really need someone to help me, its been months and I cant figure it out...
I connected my laptop to my Toshiba TV, the screen from my computer displayed on my TV. Great it worked but the sound on the TV isn't working at all and no sound on computer. When I tried to play a video on my laptop to display on the TV that I downloaded the sound on the TV didn't work or on the computer. It keeps saying on my laptop screen resolution is low, what does that mean?
what am I do wrong, please someone help me, I would like to watch my movies from my computer onto my Toshiba TV.

Thank you for your inquiry. When you looked for devices under the sound icon in the system tray the TSB-HM84s) is your TV. Have you tried selecting it?
What exact model on HP laptop do you have? What operating system are you running.
Please reply back and let me know the results.

If you are having issues using an HDTV via HDMI as an external display to your MacBook Air, you may find the following article helpful:

(Note: You will generally only see the arrangement option in Displays when you are configured to use the external display in Extended Desktop mode; there is no arrangement in Mirroring as both screens are showing the same image.)

Actually iText is a third party library to create PDF originally written for java. iTextSharp is the C# adaptation of that library.

If you only need Windows to run one program (and if this problem does not require the best GPU performance), I recommend you to install Windows in a virtual machine instead of using Boot Camp. With this, you will be able to run Windows without restarting your Mac and there will be no risks during the installation.
To make a virtual machine, you can use an application like Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox. Then, you only need to get a ISO file of Windows 8.1 with a product key, so you can install it in a virtual machine.
If you still want to install Windows with Boot Camp, you can install Windows from a USB drive (it is the only way in your iMac apart from using an external disc drive). To create the USB drive with Windows, you also need a ISO file of Windows 8.1. I'm having the exact same problem. I have a Pavilion dv6 running Windows 7, and I have a Dynex TV I was planning to use as an external monitor. The HDMI cable didn't work; as soon as I connected the computer to the TV using the cable, the computer screen went gray and no further commands would work. TV said 'No signal'. Did you ever resolve your problem? Should I try a VGA cable?
Note that I connected the same tv to a different computer using the same HDMI cable and *SNAP* it came on instantly.

Toshiba doesn't recognise laptop or tablet when using HDMI

I have a toshiba (Model#46G310U) and when try to connect a laptop or tablet using HDMI cable. It says no signal.

Were those scanned tiff image files you added the data to with exiftool? See if PhotoInfo can read the EXIF data in those files. If not then the fields are not the correct ones.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Or, is the "modem" a gateway...a combination modem/router on the same chassis with 3-4 Ethernet ports?
You have checked the Ethernet cable elsewhere on the network to make sure that it is working?

We are in a major quandry. My wife purchased a Mac Book and we are supposed to do the slide show for my sister's wedding which is tomorrow (July 13th). We just got home and the "genius's" at the Apple store gave her the wrong cables. We need to get the cables so that we can hook up her Mac Book to the TV. Oops, might be too late for an answer but the safest adapter to buy, not knowing anything about the TV, would be the Mini DVI to Video Adapter. Then you should also have on hand an S-Video cable, a Composite Video cable and a Stereo Mini Jack to RCA Audio cable. That should cover it.

I want to connect my satellite set-top box to my Qosmio G50 laptop using the RCA video-in cable I received with the computer. (yellow, red, white RCAs and a Jack)

I doubt it because to the best of my knowledge you are only going to find connectors on the iMac to connect and external monitor to it not to connect another computer to the iMac's screen.

How do I stop my whole laptop freezing when I use Firefox to visit a site that uses Java aplets?

For the last few weeks, whenever I've used Firefox to visit a trusted site that uses Java aplets, I've got a warning advising me to update Java. But when I check Java, it tells me I already have the most up to date version. However, as of today, whenever I visit the same trusted site my whole laptop freezes - cursor disappears, everything stops. I can't even use Restart - I have to manually disconnect the power. The same happens when I attempt to access Java via the Control Panel (to uninstall) - the moment the cursor hovers over Java, everything freezes and I have to disconnect power. I'm using Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit. HELP!!

Potentially unsafe versions of the Java plugin are "Click to Play" blocked, meaning that you have to click to activate Java for each site. See the [[How to enable Java if it's been blocked]] article for more information.
