How to control an mp3 downloaded to an ipad?

I am on IOS 8 and have never used itunes to listen to a podcast. In the iPad safari browser, I clicked on a link for a podcast on the webpage, which said "Download the mp3".
The podcast mp3 immediately started playing. But I could not find a player where I could control it, i.e., I could not stop, pause, go forward or reverse.
Since I didn't download the podcast in iTunes, it didn't show up there.
How do you control the playback of an mp3 downloaded this way? And does the mp3 stay on the ipad so that I can play it again without going to the website?

It is not possible to remotely control the screen of an iPad unless you jailbreak and install a VNC server. This is because the security model in iOS does not allow an app to reach outside of its sandbox to control other apps or the springboard home screen. Apple does not provide any remote control functionality at the iOS level either. There is no way to do what you are asking for without jailbreaking.

How to make a mp3 download button i had added to reappeared on firefox?

I have installed a mp3 download add-on and had a download button pinned on the firefox page so that i could click and download you tube videos into my hard disk. Somehow it disappeared and I don't know how to get it back. when I tried asking add-on again but it does not give me the option to pin a button to the firefox page. please tell me how I can do this.

more ambition than knowledge : ) With that being said, I would

down as3, so the "correct" way is much different than what I

How can I transfer mp3's to my iPad using an SD card?

Here's the deal:
I am a reporter and I use a portable audio recorder to record material. I would like to import the recordings on my iPad via SD card, edit them (I only need to splice/join/trim), and e-mail them out. This is a very basic function for any mac, pc, or even a netbook, but I am yet to find a way to do this on the iPad, which is much more portable then my macbook.
I have read about people attempting to use the iPad camera connection kit to import mp3's, but this doesn't work. I don't need to open them in the native "music" app with all of my music from iTunes, I just need to edit them.
So I have a few questions:
1. How can I import recordings with the iPad via SD or USB?
2. Does anyone know of any simple, reliable audio editing apps that can join, splice, and trim recordings? Doesn't have to be fancy.
3. Pretend I solve problems 1 and 2. How would I then e-mail them out or throw them in a dropbox to deal with them later?
Again, this is a very simple task for OSX or Windows, but I would much rather carry an iPad around then a Macbook.

The first thing you need to do is find the app of your choice at the app store (I'm not familiar with the type you need). Everything depends on the app - can it import mp3 from Dropbox? Can it import from iTunes (this should be possible). Once a file resides with an app, the only way to email the data is if the app supports that. You can't begin with the mail app and expect to somehow attach the mp3 file from there, it has to start with the app that stores the file.
So I would suggest you begin looking for appropriate apps. For each, read about its import features and whether it can email out.
And yes, a mac can easily do this. The problem with iOS is that each app is sandboxed, it cannot reach out to other apps and copy files from them. In shortl, iOS is a different kind of operating system than OSX.
(Having reread your post, the real trick is getting the mp3 from your recorder to some other location, like Dropbox or iTunes. I don't know what features your recorder has. I know of no way to transfer the mp3 from SD to an iPad directly.

How can I put MP3's on an iPad without using a computer?

I am helping out a local sports team with music for their players. They have purchased an iPad and are currently buying about 150 songs from iTunes so that the kids have music to listen to while they practise. They also want to be able to use the iPad to play MP3's that were created specifially for the team (local sponsors, etc). The team doesn't have a "team" computer that they can sync to it though. They don't want someones personal computer used with the iPad. They would like it to simpoly be a "team" device
Problem though... how how do we get the MP3 tracks that are the sponsors into the default music app on the iPad? We have no computer to do this with. Are we out of luck?
We could use a computer, but we DON'T want it "syncing" or being associated with the iTunes ID that already is partnered with whomever's computer we use.
Does anyone here know of a solution?

You can buy the Pages, Numbers and Keynote apps from the App Store (the versions that are used on a Mac are separate purchases, Macs and iPads use different operating systems).

How to control the video playback function on ipad?

Hi there,
I am creating a project containing video content that will be delivered on an ipad. I would like my video to behave like many other videos do on ipad publications:
1. I want the poster frame of the video to appear small on the page before it is clicked
2. When the poster frame for the video is clicked, I would like the video to expand to full screen using iOS's built in video capabilities
3. The user can then press "Done" to exit full screen mode back to the page that displays the small poster frame of the video
I have placed my video (an mp4 file) inside a small frame and set the Media panel options to:
-Play on page load (unchecked)
-Loop (unchecked)
-Poster (from image)
-Controller (SkinOverPlaySeekFullScreen)
-Show controller on Rollover (Checked)
However, when I publish to ipad my video behaves as follows:
1. The poster frame appears small before it is clicked
2. When the video is clicked it opens to the full video size (not full screen), however it operlaps the text layout rather than creating a black background to mask the content while the video plays
3. The video skin does not allow the user to navigate out of full screen mode back to the original layout of the page
Also, no matter what video skin I choose it doesn't seem to change the skin. The skin is always the same, including a mute and play/pause button and no other user controls.
How do I create a skin that allows me to leverage the iOS video playback capabilities?

If not, some explanation:
Many settings in the standard "Media" panel (for both video and audio) don't apply for publications that need to go the Folio-way. This panel is mainly concerned with lovely Flash stuff, but apart from the Poster frame and the Markers, it is useless for Folio's.
A quick guide: create a video with the necessary codec (H.264 for video, MP# or AAC for audio) at the required pixel size (exact width/height). Simply Place the file in InDesign, but don't scale it (or recreate and place a properly sized new video afterwards). Choose what to do with the Poster frame (and maybe some Markers), but all other settings are done in the Overlay Creator.
Check Bob Bringhurst's Tutorials and his DPS Tips app for more info. But I guess you get the idea now.

Sounds like that app have a storage restriction setting.
Open the Settings app, locate and tap on the app in the list to the left and see if there is a setting that controls storage capacity for it. Not sure since I don't have the app, but would be a good place to start.

How do I keep apps downloaded from my iPad from syncing automatically to my iPhone?

I just got a new iPad, and the apps I downloaded on it automatically synced to my iPhone. I'd like to keep them separate. Some apps I want to keep on my iPad, but I don't want them to transfer to my iPhone. I'm assuming they're syncing via iCloud, since I haven't synced my iPad through iTunes yet.

Right, now that I can see what's relevant.
You can import an MP3 to your iTunes Library, and add it to your iPhone, and listen to it on the phone. They can be NPR MP3s, downloaded from their site, or they can be audio/music files of your own creation. I have both in my Library and on my iPod.
You have already downloaded the files, you've told us that. So they are already on your computer, somewhere.
In your iTunes Library, press the ALT key and then press F, and finally D. (That's File/Add folder to Library)
Navigate to the folder where the MP3s are located, and choose the folder.
Press Select Folder. The MP3s are now added to your Music Library.
Change/edit the files, so that they are in any Playlists, you want, are set to skip when shuffling (which will stop them playing while listening to music in shuffle mode) and any other attributes that you want to add.
Sync these files to your iPhone in the same manner that you normally use.
