  • How to access Integrated camera from Windows 7 - ThinkPad X301?

Could someone please tell me how to start the integrated camera after installing the driver in Windows 7? I could see the device driver from Device Manager stated that it is properly installed and working fine but I had gone all the program interface to see where to start it proves to no avail. It is unlike Windows XP where it can be accessed from Accessories.

  • How to use integrated camera? T61

I have an integrated camera, and I tried following the instructions lenovo suggests (opening the scanner/camera folder in the control panel) but no camera comes up! Also, I can't make movies either. I have windows vista so everything is different from the instructions lenovo gave me. Help!

To first test the camera, you can use something like Windows Live Messenger.  If you enter the tools menu, you can use the "adjust webcam settings" option to test the camera.  The green light next to the lens comes on to tell you its active and it shows you the picture being captured.
After that, you just open the app you want to use and its the application's responsibility to use the camera feed.  Windows doesn't provide movie capture software by default if I recall correctly.

  • How to control a camera wriggle?

    Hi there,
I have used basic camera wriggle in various Motion projects and adjusted them to my liking. However, I have one project where the wriggle starts up and when it ends, there is a fairly noticable "jump" back to where the camera should be. I wouldn't say the wriggle is anymore intense than what I've been doing previously. I've never had this trouble before, so don't know what settigns I should be changing to correct this. So far I've had no luck. Any ideas?
    Thanks for your time.

Instead of trimming the Wriggle parameter behavior to make it end, have it last the full duration and keyframe it's strength or some other parameter down to zero to stop it.

  • How to control and display video from IP camera using ActiveX control over Internet.

    Hello,
I need to control my IP cameras over the internet. I need to log into the cameras and then display the video.  There's an ActiveX control registered on the computer and works fine with IE to access and control the cameras. Controlling the cameras using IE works fairly well, but there are some quirks that I'd like to eliminate by using my own custom code.
Has anyone created a vi that controls a Foscam FI8905W over the Internet? I’ve attempted, but I keep getting a catastrophic failure when I try to call ManagementConnect Method in the DVM_IPCam2 ActiveX Control Module V1.0. I'm not sure whether I need to establish an IP connection with the cameras first, or allow the ActiveX control to establish it for me.
Some example code would be greatly appreciated. Running LabVIEW 2011 on a Win7 32bit.  Even some code used to control a similar device using ActiveX over Internet would be helpful.

I have an example vi for interfacing to the foscam activex.
I plan on using mouse click events within the activex window to trigger the PT function.
I only have the basic up/down/right/left directions and not the down-right/down-left/up-right/up-left in the enum.  You can load the camera's web page and view the source to see the Java script code that uses the activex control.  There are definitions for the other directions.
I had to mark the control as "Disabled" to keep click events from going to the activex control.  If I double click the control, it goes full screen.  If I then click on it to get out of full screen mode the video never returns or returns to the wrong spot in the VI.

No, this feature is built into iOS 5 and can't be altered.
The only way this could cause a battery issue though is if you accidentally double-tap the Home button and then also tap either the Play button to start music or the Camera icon to launch the camera app. Not impossible, but not likely either.  Battery issues might be improved through a reset or complete iPhone restore.
I Have an iPhone 5 & the music keeps getting activated when its in my pocket.. i actually have to take it out of my pocket if im moving aroung.. or in a meeting.. its SO Annoying.. my first iPhone.. and im blown away that even on the LOCK screen.. you cant lock the features on the phone.. does this sound like a third grader designed this thing or what.. why have a lock screen??? IF it Doesn't lock??????
I can only pray that this issue is resolved soon.. otherwise this is my last & only iPhone.. what a piece of junk! & a huge waste of money... all these stupid 'apps' & games.. seem to be the priority.. & its still incable of being transported in my pocket without playing music & taking pictures..***
ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated!

  • X200 integrated camera:hardware or software problem?

First time turned on this machine, the system complained about 5U875 device has no driver. I tryed to auto install but fails. I rebooted it everything looks normal.
Now after running ThinkVantage update, 5U875 device has no driver error pops up again. 5U875 listed under other device at device mananger. Hardware id: VID: 05CA, PID: 18FF, device name Ricoh. I checked all version of Lenovo/IBM integrated camera drirver, they all show VID: 17FF, no wonder why it cannot install.
I rebooted numerious, tryed to install other generic 05CA driver, all fails with error 10. But the dramatic thing is, after I fully turned off, then turned on. The 5U875 is back to normal, even no driver attempted to install. At this time, VID=17FF, PID=4807, vendor name: Lenovo.
It seems to me 5U875 has two levels of control, 05CA:18FF is Ricoh controller chip, it is always ON. 17FF:4807 is webcam itself. This is controlled by BIOS or other hardware. Now it seems to me 17FF:4807 is not ON properally so the system complains.
Anyone has similar problem? I called Lenovo they asked me to send it back. But I don't believe it is hardware problem. More like webcam control at new BIOS has problem.

I havectly the same problem One day I turned on my X200 Tablet and I got a message that 5U875 Device has no drivers installed. Tried instaling the latest drivers from Lenovo for camera but no luck. Even turning the tablet completly off and on doesn;t help. The driver instalation just quits without any message.
Anyone has an idea how to solve this problem and get the integrated camera to work ?

  • Account assignment error even without controlling integration

We have set up a service order without controlling integration nor billing. After releasing the service order and saving, CRM throws out an error as if it is trying to create an internal order in ECC. See error log below.
We do not intend to replicate CRM customers to ECC which should not be a problem for our requirements.
The error log is pointing to missing customers in ECC as "Customer" is a controlling characteristic when one want to create an internal order. In our case, we don't want this to happen and have done the necessary configuration. The relevant item category in the service order has been set as not relevant for costing.
Can anybody see a reason why we are having this behaviour? How can we get around it?
Note: The solution consisting of preventing document distribution to ECC via status profile would not work for us as we also intend to use Logistics integration to create Purchase orders in ECC.
    Cheers

  • T500 Laptop Model 2242-CT0 - Integrated Camera No Longer Shows in Devices

Laptop is about 14 months old. Integrated camera was working fine.  I was using Skype the other day & it could not find the camera. I went into Devices & uninstalled the driver. Then the camera disappeared from Devices altogether.
I downloaded/installed the latest driver for the camera:  version 1.32.500.0 (7tca23ww.exe), rebooted, but the device list still does not show in devices (yes-"Show Hidden" is selected).
    Running Win 7 64 bit.
Latest updates for windows are installed.   I periodically get an error message popping up that "Device driver failed install", but that's it.
Attempts to run hdwwiz to install the camera were not successful, as I do not see any "Camera" listed under the Ricoh drivers section.

    Hi HLemieux,
I researched your issue and this is what I found from the Lenovo Assisted Search:
"If your webcam on your laptop is not working, try these following steps:
    1. Be sure your webcam driver is installed. (It can be found at http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/ot/en/DriversDownLoads/Drivers.html)
    2. By checking the webcam if it is disabled by Fn+Esc.
If you see the cross line on the webcam sign press to Fn+Esc to enable the webcam.
    3. If you do not see the webcam sign on the right corner of display after pressing Fn+Esc, be sure your Energy Management is installed. (It can be found at http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/ot/en/DriversDownLoads/Drivers.html)
After you download the Energy Management driver from Lenovo Website, install the software.
During energy management installation if you see the window as below “Utility” must be selected for Fn hot-key application (Utility is a software package under EM)
    4. After installation of Energy Management please perform step 2 to enable Webcam if it is disabled."
Try this and let us know how it works for you.

  • ThinkCentre E73z integrated camera cannot be used in Skype

    Hi,
I have just finished the complete updating of the preinstalled windows7 professional on my new ThinkCentre E73z. This is the first use.
I'm very disappointed. When I installed Skype it says that Skype can't detect any Webcam. They offer to buy one.
When I opened up the new computer package there was "Brief user noctices" paper and it indicates that there is an integrated camera in the front. Is it an error, and actualy ThinkCentre E73z does not have a camera built in or this camera is not equivalent with a webcam?
This is my first Lenovo. Maybe I should take it back to the shop and ask my money back. What is going on?
Lenovo preinstalled this windows 7 professional. They built in a camera but forgot to install a driver for their hardware?
Really? The customer should install the driver? And which one?
    I'm puzzled with it.
I came across with this camera issu first, what else, more serious things can I expect later?
Anyway, can you give me your advice what to do?
Using Device Manager in Win7 how can I find out that there is a camera there or not?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    The situation is worse.
I just realised that the microphone is not working too. Nothing can be done to get it work.
It seems the whole panel in the front top of the monitor is out of order.
No microphone, no camera, no camera indicator.
    I have a suspicion.
I asked the seller in the computer shop to replace the DVD drive with an SSD. (www.digiprime.hu)
They might have made a mistake. When replacing the DVD with SSD drive they disconected the panel containing the camera and microphone. Wired them off and forget to connect them again.
    Is it possible?

  • T530 Lenovo Integrated Camera not working, Lenovo Camera Settings does not Display

Hello, I have a new T530 with Windows 8 OS. I am having trouble using the integrated camera. It functions neither in the Windows camera app nor in Skype. In both cases I get a picture with a gray background and a camera with a line through it. In Device manager, the camera does appear, is enabled, and the drivers are up to date.
After looking through other threads, I tried checking whether the camera was plugged in and indeed it was. When using Skype and I set the camera to on (Skype did detect the camera), I still got the gray no camera image, but the green light on the camera itself turned on.
I also tried using Fn+F6 to check settings. Lenovo settings opens, but the when I click the camera settings Icon, the screen loads a blank page that says "Camera" in the top right and has a back button (left pointing arrow) in the top left hand corner. The back button does not seem to work and I must change the window to something else in order to exit/close settings.
I tried manually installing both camera drivers and "power management" ("energy management"?) drivers. Neither of this solved either of these issues.
Please help me to resolve this problem. Thank you.

    Hi, euterpenc
I would make sure that the BIOS is up to date in the system. The current BIOS for your system is 2.07 and can be found here. Also, I would ensure that the chipset drivers are up to date, and those can be found here.
Hope it helps, and let me know how it goes
    Adam
