How to control "To" Effective Date of Element Entry Screen in Assignment.

How do I Control the "To" Effective Date which is defaulted to 13th Apr 2007 in the Element Entry Screen of Assignment .When the screen is date tracked to
01-APR-2007 and running payroll for the Month of April 2007.
Navigation
People--->Enter---->Assignment---->Element Entry
Ram

In addition to what Tim Mentioned it can also be depends on what date you attached this element to the employee
you might have attached this element on 13th Apr 2007 to this particular assignment

have u tried to change your time entry through CAT2 tcode, ithink if u have created profile for time entry then it should allow you to change and you can use esc otherwise, its generally the standard profile given by SAP. but is 4 one user

I have a requirement in which the field sapcomponent in the transaction tab which
has to be placed in the fast entry tab also.On populating this in the fast entry screen the same value
should also be populated in the transaction tab.

Element Entry Screen does not show value

I have created an element xxtest123, created a fast formula, and the formula result contain the direct result to this element.
But before creating fast formula I did following steps.
Created Input Values
The input values this element has are
Pay Value, Hire Date and Date Of Birth all are non enterable by user, and Database Items boxes corresponding to these values are checked.
Created Element Link
I, later linked it to a payroll and checked box Standard on the element link screen.
Now issue is after running Payroll I can see the SOE report and Run Result Screen shows the expected result
But the element entry screen does not show the values. Rather the fields are simply blank.
Can anyone please help me why it is behaving such a way?

But I have run QuickPay for that employee.
After running QuickPay the input values names are coming into element entry value screen.
But it is not showing the value corresponding to the element input value names.

Validate element entry at Element Entry Screen and BEE

Hi,
I would like to incorporate some validation at both the Element Entry screen and Batch Element Entry.
The validation rule is user is only allow to enter one element between Element A and Element B, they are mutually exclusive.
1) When user enter Element A, Element B should not exist in Element Entry screen.
2) When user enter Element B, Element A shoudl not exist in Element Entry screen.
The entry point for the element can be done via
1) loading via BEE screen
2) entry via Element Entry screen
Thus, the validation rules should apply at both the entry point.
I have tried to used the user hook via the pay_element_entry_api, however, it is not working (meaning no validation take place).
And I also notice that the form PAYWSMEE.fmb is not using the pay_element_entry_api but is using hr_entry_api.
Appreciate advise on this as this validation is really important to the clietn to ensure correct payment.

How to Set the Effective Date to Sysdate in OAF Page

Hi All,
I am new to OAF and started working on OAF. I have a unique situation and I am unable to get it going. Here is the situation.
1) Currently on Benefits module when an user logons he/she will be directed to FamilyMbrsPG. In this Page I had extended the controller(BenEnrlHeaderCO) to set the Effective Date to as that of life event occured date. This is working fine.
But the issue arrises when one clicks the next button on FamilyMbrsPG. The requirement is when One navigates to CurrOvwPG at that page the effective date needs to be reset to Sysdate which I am unable to do. But the probloem is when I am trying to debug the controllers files of CurrOvw It is pointing to the controller class of FamilyMbrsPG which is BenEnrlHeaderCO.
I was trying to reset the Effective Date as of sysdate.
Can you please let me know as how to proceed from here.

Well here it is

In this scenario what is happening is for the page CurrOvwPG there are 6 controller class files which are as follows.:
1) BeneficiariesOverviewCO.java
2) CoveredDependentsOverviewCO.java
3) CurrentBenefitsCO.java
4) CurrentBenefitsTopCO.java
5) SelectionOverviewTableCO.java
6) SelectionsOverviewCO.java
When I ran the project in debug mode and placed the breakpoints for the controller class files. As soon as I click the next button in FamilyMbrsPG the breakpoint in occuring at line31 of BenEnrlHeaderCO which is again a controller class file for FamilyMbrsPG which has been already extended to set EffectiveData to that of Life even occured Date.
Now in CurrOvwPG I need to reset the EffectiveDate to Sysdate. Please let me know if this is clear...

How to control outer group data based on inner group data

Please can anyyone help me on this issue.
I have one invoice header record and for that invoice there are 15invoice lines record.
1)my requirement is i want to print the 10 invoice records in first page and remaining records,in next page.--this i had achieved*(byusing solution posted inthe forum)*
i have the layout like this

main group data table
i had inserted another table for inner group data.
again main group data in main table.
2)But here i don't want print header info again in second page.
3)i am not getting the line numbers in inner group in ascending order ,i am getting in descending order. how to get them in decending order
4) if lines record are going to second page i don't want to print subtotal,tax,total (these are main group data)in first page, instead of this
in place of
subtotal-- want to print Continued......
Tax- null
Total:page 1 of 2. like that i want to print in first page.
i want them to print in second page.
5)the bottom portion also not to print on second page.(after innergroup data,there is some main group data)
i have one doubt by using inner group data whether we can control outer group data.
if any of my requirement's are not possible to meet ,please provide me the information.
This urgent for me,have to submit it.

I'm on mac osx.
I'm trying to add time/date stamp to my screen capture file names. (at the moment it's just 'Picture 1' etc..)
I've tried the following command in terminal but have not had success. please help!!

How to configure details form in the Timekeeper Entry screen

I do understand how the Bex flag setting works in relation to reporting like y we set the flag or y we dont set the flag when we do reporting or not on ODS.. <b>My question here is, i dont understand, how the SID tables or the master data tables or ODS tables get effected with this flag. Can some one explain me what kind of changes in the tables takes place with this flag setting and how it is used in the reporting..</b> How this thing is different with respect to Cube reporting process.. I do understand that ODS doesnt have Dimensions.. so i am just looking for conceptual clarification and not any forum links related to the Bex falg.. i have already gone through many links in the forum, but they didnt help me to clarify this process at table level which i am looking for... Thanks Durgesh but I have tried every master data test in RSRV. I think because these document number characteristics don't have master data tables most of the tests return a message that the test does not apply to the characteristic. These characteristics only have a sid table.

How can I access the volume control sliders when listening to YouTube videos on my iPad? (Not the hardware buttons)

As I can't see any complicated scenario in your requirement. So I suggest you can achieve this by simple standard configuration.
Go to OME9, double click on the Account assignment category and make the field as Display.
Then check in your PO.
But I doubt, your requirement can not be simple like that.
So either you didn't know the settings or your requirement is different or you are just trying to learn that can it be possible via coding.
Let us know the appropriate reason for set it as display.
