How to convert a PDF to save as .doc microsoft word document

I purchased from an online source a resume which was sent to me via PDF using Adobe.  I would like to save the PDF as a word document and when I press download and asked to convert to MS it just takes me back like a revollving door to advertisement for purchasing Adobe and back to the PDF file again.  Please help me get my PDF converted to a word document.  Does anyone out there know of a way ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi kathyv30365453,
You can convert PDF to Word using either  the ExportPDF online service, or Acrobat. I checked your account, and it doesn't look like you've purchased an ExportPDF subscription. If you want to give Acrobat a try, you're welcome to download a 30-day trial from the link I reference above. In Acrobat, you choose File > Save as Other > Microsoft Word > Word Document.

  • How to convert a PDF file into a full editable WORD file?

    Hi,
I tried to convert a pdf file into word but it is not fully editable. I can edit the title from the main page and that's it. The rest of the word document is saved as image. I tried editing teh pdf file but that one is not working either.
Please help on how to convert a PDF file into a full editable WORD file.
    Thank you

Not all PDF files are created equal.  When a PDF file is created with Adobe Tools it is usually "tagged" with information about the fonts the images, the layout etc...    This way when the PDF is saved to a new format like PPT or DOC then the results are usually usable.  However, if you have a PDF file that was not tagged for some reason then run the Accessibility tools on the PDF to acquire some basic tagging.  This may get you a better result.  Also if you have a PDF that is an image, then you may want to run OCR on it.

  • "Convert to PDF" shortcut is missing in Microsoft Word 2007

    Hi
I have just updated from Microsoft Word 2003 to Word 2007. I have always had a shortcut in Word 2003 in the toolbar with "Convert to PDF". After I have upgraded to Word 2007 I cannot get the shortcut to appear in the Word toolbar.
Does anyone know how I can get the shortcut back?
    /James

Version 8.1 or later are the only versions that will work with MS Office 2007. You will also have to install or repair Acrobat after installing MS Office and enable the Acrobat macros through the "About Word" panel.

Just converted a PDF document to Word, none of the graphics from the PDF file show up in the Word document?
What do I need to do to bring the graphics and exhibits from the PDF file to the Word file?

    Hi jackp52432917,
How was that PDF file created? Please see  Will Adobe ExportPDF convert both text and form... | Adobe Community
It could be that the PDF file you're converting was created using a third-party application, and it doesn't contain all the information necessary to ensure a clean conversion. Have you had similar troubles converting other PDF files?

Why Acrobat x professional is changing the text formatting specifically the font family  and the font size of the text in my pdf on exporting it to Microsoft word file format ?How should i stop Acrobat x professional from doing that so that i get an exactly same word file on exporting it from its pdf counterpart?

I was testing the preciseness & efficiency of Adobe acrobat x professional's doc conversion capabilities. As i have to take a document editing project in future which is going to need lot of pdf to word and vice versa conversions . What I did was I created a test word document converted into a pdf using a pdf maker in my word 2007 , Acrobat did convert the document from word to pdf keeping everything in the source file intact , However when i tried the other way round and attempted to convert the same pdf to word 2007 file format I lost my formatting ?So the font that I used to create the pdf are the ones taken from word 2007 which i believe is using the fonts that are installed in my computer. Any suggestions on how to preserve the formatting of the document after converting it from pdf to word file format?
    Regards
    Mike

  • Convert 1 single microsoft word document with section breaks to multiple pdf files

I am a windows 7 users. I have a single microsoft word document which contain 1500 pages. These 1500 pages are seperated by sections breaks in the microsoft word. I am trying to convert this word document to multiple pdf files seperated by the section breaks in the Microsoft word. How can I convert the single microsoft word document with section breaks to multiple seperate pdf files?

Acrobat (Adobe PDF Printer and PDFMaker ) doesn't recognize the Section breaks.  It never has as far as I am aware.  The easiest thing to do is to manually break up a copy of the MS Word Document into the Sections you need and then create the PDFs from those MS Word documents.

  • How can we save smartform output as word document

    Hi Friends,
Can anybody help me, how to save Smartform output as Word document instead of PDF file.
    Thanks,
    Ramana.

    Hi Venkat,
I think you can do it manually.
After the print preview, Select the menu <b>Goto->List Display</b>.
Now select the menu <b>System->List->Save->Local File</b>.
Now you can select the radio buttion <b>Rich Text Format</b>.
Now you save the document as a .doc file (say test.doc)
    That is it!!!!!

  • Adobe reader wont allow pdf to save as doc

I have windows 8 and Adobe Reader. I don't use the touchscreen as it allows because my laptop is not touchscreen capable. I have been trying for 2 hours to convert a PDF. file to a DOC. so that I can fill out the form in Microsoft Word. When I pull up the PDF in Adobe, I click the "save as" option and it takes me to the save section. The only options I have in the save screen is where I want to save the file, the description (file name), File type, which the only option is PDF. No other file type is available; and finally, the save option. I am desperately trying to change the file type to a DOC and have hit a dead end. I have tried changing it by renaming and adding (doc.) at the end to change the format, tried opening word and attempting to open the file that way but the characters are wrong, it looks like a bunch of jumbled characters instead of the PDF, and finally, opened "reader" and attempted to copy/paste in word with the same results as adobe, and the save as function wont let me change it to a doc as well. I'm totally stuck and I need to change this PDF to a Word Document but I'm having the worst time doing this! Does anyone know a way to change a PDF file to a document some other way than trying to pull it up in Word, changing it in Adobe or trying to rename the file? I desperately need help!

The free Reader has never been able to convert PDF files to any other format, and most probably never will. You can try using the free 30 day trial of Acrobat to attempt a conversion. And if I may say so, if someone created a form in PDF format, and expects it to be filled and submitted in PDF format, I don't think s/he will be happy receiving it in Word format.

  • Convert PDF to Microsoft Word document

    Hi,

  • I received an email with an attachment in "Pages." How can I save it in Microsoft Word?

I am new to Mac.  I have received an email with an attachment in "Pages."  How can I save it in Microsoft Word?  Help!

I don't think Word can open docs created in Pages.  Either buy Pages or contact the person who sent this to you and have them save the document in a compatible format for Word.... which entails them opening the document in question and clicking File/Export and picking Word from the format dropdown in the Pages program.

hi i can't seem to copy and paste pdf files from preview to a microsoft word document. it always comes up with nonsense characters in the word document. how do i fix this? thanks in advance

    Hi,
The quickest way to do this (tested with OS 10.8.2, MS Word 2011) is in one line:
tell application "Microsoft Word" to close every document whose name begins with "book"
The reason why your script doesn't work is that you aren't specifying to Word which document you want it to close.
So, changing one line ought to do it:
close document incrementvalue -- instead of "close document"
But... when you close a document, you change the document count. Document 2 becomes document 1, document 3 becomes document 2 etc. So eventually you'd get a message saying "The object you are trying to access doesn't exist".
Because of this, if you want to do it in a repeat loop, you have to work backwards:
    tell application "Microsoft Word"
      set doc_count to count documents
      repeat with x from doc_count to 1 by -1
if name of document x begins with "book" then close document x
      end repeat
    end tell
    Hope this helps.
