How to convert Mac .app applications to IOS .ipa applications

There is a game on the computer that i would like to convert and make to an IOS application. I know some things will need to be added like arrows and stuff so the creature in the game can move.. but im wondering if i can convert a .app to a runable .ipa for iphone

What you appear to be asking is that someone write the code for you, or at least do a substantial amount of the work for you. I doubt anyone here will want to do that. If it's just a case of getting some minor help with what you've already begun, that might be a different matter. (If that's the case post here) You need to get a book on C++ and learn how to do it yourself.

  • How to change Mac App Store Login for Updating Apps

I purchased a used Macbook from a local computer retailer; when they installed Mavericks and setup the account they used their Mac ID. Now it's showing updates for Keynote, Numbers, Pages, and iMovie but if I choose Update it prompts their username and wont let me change it. I assume those apps are connected to that account so it wont let me update. Is there a way to change the associated login to mine or is it safe for me to remove them and reinstall using my ID? I wasn't sure if they were core apps that would cause any damage if removed and I really dont want to format and start over. Thanks for the help!

The first thing to do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You—not the original owner—must do that. How you do it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
It is not safe to use a computer with software installed by a previous owner.
1a. If you don't own another Mac
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller—not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for some MacBook Air models. For early MBA models, you may need a USB optical drive or Remote Disc. You should have received the media from the original owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To start up from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then restart the computer and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should start up in Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Some models shipped with OS X 10.6 and received a firmware update after 10.7 was released, enabling them to use Internet Recovery. If you have one of those models, you may not be able to reinstall 10.6 even from the original discs, and Internet Recovery may not work either without the original owner's Apple ID. In that case, contact Apple Support, or take the machine to an Apple Store or another authorized service provider to have the OS installed.
1b. If you do own another Mac
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to prepare a USB device, then start up the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can start from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
    2. Partition and install OS X
If you see a lock screen when trying to start up from installation media or in Recovery mode, then a firmware password was set by the previous owner, or the machine was remotely locked via iCloud. You'll either have to contact the owner or take the machine to an Apple Store or another service provider to be unlocked. You may be asked for proof of ownership.
Launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive—not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In thePartition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. If you're installing a version of OS X acquired from the App Store, you will need the Apple ID and password that you used. When the installation is done, the system will automatically restart into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
Then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the original owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed—you have to repurchase them.
    3. Other issues
If the original owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're irrevocably linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to  authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.
When trying to create a new iCloud account, you might get a failure message: "Account limit reached." Apple imposes a lifetime limit of three iCloud account setups per device. Erasing the device does not reset the limit. You can still use an account that was created on another device, but you won't be able to create a new one. Contact iCloud Support for more information.

  • How to convert Web app into a channel?

    To whom it may concern,
Does anyone know how to convert a Web app into a channel inside the Portal server 6.0?
I developed the web app and tried to create a provider and a channel for it, but the Portal server did not recognize the WEB-INF folder and give me errors saying that it couldn't locate the class files.
I also have a problem with URL inside my jsp page (channel).
For example, I have two jsp pages:
    /etc/opt/SUNWps/desktop/default/MyCustomProvider/test1.jsp
    /etc/opt/SUNWps/desktop/default/MyCustomProvider/test2.jsp
and when I try to put a link from test1.jsp to test2.jsp using
... and make a channel based on test1.jsp. The channel will display the link as "http://mydomain/portal/test2.jsp" and result in "Error: page not found". I want the link to point to
    /etc/opt/SUNWps/desktop/default/MyCustomProvider/test2.jsp
    To summarize my questions,
    1) Where should the web app be located in the Portal server?
    2) How to make a link inside one jsp page (channel) to point to another page inside the same folder?
    Thank you in advance

    Hello Karthik,
I just tried to solve my problem with your suggestions, unfortunately, my JSP channel still doesn't work :(
The portal server keeps reporting "Server Error..." when I tried to add query at the end of the href.
Do you still have any other suggestions?
    Thank you

  • HT1414 How do I get apps that require iOS 5 on my Iphone 4S with the latest version of 6.0.1 currently installed on it?  I cannot install many of the apps I want to use and am not sure what to do.  Thank you.

I am not very good at navigating the Iphone so please be patient.  I have an Iphone 4S with the latest 6.0.1 and I would like to be able to download some of the apps that require iOS 5 on my iphone.  How do I do that.  When I look for the iOS 5 update it is no longer available.  I found that it is supposed to be available on Itunes.  I have not found it on Itunes.  All help is appreciated.  Thank you.

Well, no. It's because that the iPod 4th Gen has iOS 6 and the apps need iOS 7. I suggest that you get the new iPod 5 because it has iOS 7. Also the iPod 4 does not have enough CPU or RAM. The new iPod 5 has enough CPU and RAM to store iOS 7 apps.
    Thanks!

  • How to download mac app store

i have macbook5.2 2.13ghz withi mac os x 10.5.8 there is no mac app store and i need it what ca

You cannot access the Mac App Store on 10.6.8. You would need to upgrade your Mac to Snow Leopard, provided that it meets the technical requirements (the most important of which is that you must have an Intel Mac). Snow Leopard is available from the Online Store,, and you should then apply the 'combo updater' to bring it to 10.6.8, at which point the App Store will appear in Applications.

  • HT4463 How to download mac app store app

Where can I find the Mac App store app & download it?   I have already purchased the Lion OS X but cannot download it.  Why is it so difficult to just provide a link to download?

You had to have access to the App Store in order to download Lion.
Click your Apple icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click App Store.
Or, click the App Store icon in your Dock.
Or launch the App Store from your Applications folder.

  • How does the Mac App Store compare to MacUpdate Desktop?

So far I have been using MacUpdate desktop to keep ALL my apps up-to-date, a very easy process. With the advent of the Mac App Store I now have to deal with two processes to achieve that.
What do all think about the usefulness of creating a separate and closed update environment with the Mac App Store? Is this better? Or not?

MacUpdate Desktop will find updates to over 30,000 (and growing every day - MacUpdate is updated 24/7) Mac apps, screen savers, widgets, pref panes, and plug-ins. The MAS will only manage and update apps you have purchases from Apple through the MAS, and will not update non-apps (widgets, pref panes, screen savers, or plug-ins) and the MAS does not contain many popular commercial applications from major software companies. The MAS also requires an Intel Mac and Mac OS 10.6 or later - MacUpdate Desktop will run on PPC and update PPC apps too, on Mac OS 10.5 or later. You can easily browse and search for apps on MacUpdate.com, and then with a single click, have MacUpdate Desktop download and install any app of interest. The community support on MacUpdate.com - reviews and similar app suggestions - make discovering new apps fast and easy. Any apps purchased from MacUpdate Promo will also be displayed in MacUpdate Desktop, allowing you to easily download and install them as well. MacUpdate actively develops and updates MacUpdate Desktop and continues to add new features and benefits. Feel free to contact MacUpdate with any further questions - desktop<at>macupdate<dot>com.
I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link. <Edited by Host>

  • How to reinstall mac app store

I currently have Mac OSX 10.5.8 and have been trying to update my software.  I haven't been able to make any updates because my Mac App Store seems to have dissapeared from my Mac.

That's right - once you're at 10.6.3, and run Software Update to get to 10.6.8, the App Store will be available.
Note that quite a few apps now require 10.8 or above, so depending on what apps you're after, you may need to update to 10.9 first (it's free) in the App Store if your computer can support it.

  • HT1444 HOW TO GET MAC APP STORE

did the macbook air 2009 come with the mac app store ??

No, 10.5 does not have the App Store.
First you need to research all the problems people are having with the higher OSX versions, & make sure you have a bootable clone of what you have just in case.
then you must get 10.6 if they still have it, install it & update to 10.6.8 so you have the App Store to buy & download the huge 10.8 Installer.
    Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...
    General requirements
       * Mac computer with an Intel processor
        * 1GB of memory (I say 4GB at least, more if you can afford it)
        * 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
        * Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.
Which apps work with Mac OS X 10.6?...
    http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/
It's been pulled from the online store & Apple Stores, so you have to call Apple to buy it, last I heard.
Call Apple Sales...in the US: 1-800-MY-APPLE.

  • How to convert classic app files on macbook

i'm having a problem with converting or transfering classic enviroment files on macbook pro. Trying to use my itunes apps on it to make music.

If by "classic environment files" you actually mean PowerPC applications, you can't convert or run them on OS X's greater than 10.6.8. As you're running 10.7.5, it simply can't be done.
It's not clear to me what you mean by "trying to use my iTunes apps on it to make music"? If you mean iOS apps that are backed up through iTunes, you can't run iOS apps on OS X, either.
Hope that I've understood what you're trying to accomplish...

  • How to reinstall Mac apps from external hard drive onto Macbook

Last week I spilt wine on my 2009 Macbook6.1 and couldn't revive it so I brought it into the Mac Dealer in town and had it fixed. Gee! I just upgraded the external 250gb hard drive with a Hot Seagate Momentus 500gb hybrid SSD. well it wasn't too bad. Replaced some plate(forgive my lack off computer knowledge) of a sort and wiped everything down with alcohol including the new HD and all was good. Then the techy moved all of my personal stuff over to my LaCie external HD, wiped my internal HD clean and reinstalled Snow Leopard OS X. All done. When I got home with it and started it up I couldn't find the iLife app that it came with when bought new at Apple Store or iWork which I bought later at Apple Store and installed myself. I just bought and installed Lion OS X too. Right here and now I have my LaCie external connected to it and have no clue how/what to do to get iLife apps and iWork and other stuff back into Macbook. I need help. PS: how to check volume in Seagate hard drive?

There are basically two types of apps:
    - one category requires to run an installer, e.g. iLife or iWork, they cannot be moved from one place to another; there are apps which, even having an installer, they practically may be moved from one place to another without any problem;
    - apps which may be stored as such and moved to and external drive and back, and even may run from anywhere; most of Mac OS apps are like this.
If you want to backup your apps once purchased on CDs or DVDs, you may simply create images of them (dmg), and install them as if you had the CD or DVD. To have a backup of your apps is OK, and even recommended. This is how I store all my apps now, practically the optical drive is something I use extremely rarely.
If you purchased iWork via App Store, you may simpluy re-download them any time, by selecting apps and pressing Option / Alt key when selecting them, this will force a new download.
