How to convert MP3 to Iphone text tone

Hi guys
Can any good soul please help me.
Thanks

At this time, you cannot make a custom TEXT tone for the iPhone.
You can make custom ringtones, the sound the phone makes when the call comes in... but not for a text message.
You have several "text message" choices on the iPhone, but this is all you can use for now.
There are no applications that can make the custom text tone as there is no way to load it on the iPhone to recognize it.

You can make ringtone using iTunes
Convert mp3 to AAC (you can also cut interesting part of the song using information page in file properties) and then rename file extension from m4a to m4r and reimport it to itunes and viola!
BTW. Here is one of instructions available online: http://howto-themes-for-iphones.blogspot.com/2009/12/how-to-convert-mp3-to-m4r.h tml

  • How do you get your ring/text tones that were purchased back on your phone

how do you get your ring/text tones that were purchased back on your phone

    Hey there oops31,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you want to know how to get tones that you’ve previously purchased on your iPhone 4s. The article linked below outlines the options for downloading past purchases and includes information about syncing tones from iTunes to your iOS device.
Download past purchases - Apple Support
    Audiobooks, ringtones, and tones
If you made a backup of these items on your Mac or PC, you can sync the items to your iOS device. You can't download these items again from iTunes in the Cloud.
    Cheers,

I don't put the iphone in my front pocket. I put in my bag pack so vibration is not useful to me. Pls help
The iPhone is working exactly as it is designed.
    Your options are:
    1) Unplug the headset.
    2) Leave the headset plugged in and the earpiece in your ear at all times.
    3) Turn on vibrate and put the phone in your pocket.
    4) Leave feedback for Apple and hope they deem it worthy of their time to fix.
This is a user to user forum, these are the only solutions we can offer you here.

  • How do I add a custom text tone?

I just recently learned how to add a custom ringtone to my phone and thought I'd use the same process to make a custom text tone.  Even though BOTH files show up in my ringtones section of iTunes, I can't choose one of them for a custom text tone.  Anyone know how I can make a custom text tone or move one of them so that it appears in the list of tones for texts?  I should mention they are both .m4r files

You wait for iOS 5 to be released in the fall.
You can't do it in iOS 4.x or 3.x

  • Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Text tone notification

I can't hear my text notifications come through on my phone when it's unlocked. When my screen is locked I can hear and see the text tone but if I'm playing a game on my phone or browsing the Internet or even if my screen is just open sitting there I can't hear my texts come. They don't even pop up at the top of the screen for notification or vibrate or anything. The only way I can tell if a text comes through is if I look at my message and see the red bubble with the number, or of my screen is locked. When something like this happens i can usually fix it myself but I checked every part of my settings and made sure all sounds were on and I still have the same problem. I have an iPhone 5 if that helps iOS 6.1.4. Can anyone help me with this?

Are you sure she's only hitting the space bar once?  Ask her to type slowly and see if she gets the same result.  If she does, try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if, it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

  • How to convert mp3 software instrument samples to format garageband can use

    Hi and thanks in advance.
I'm using GB '08 on OSX 10.4.11 w/ a G4 MDD. ( Sorry folks,  This is the setup that I have and cannot buy a new computer or software at this time)
I'm pretty new too DAW and all of this but want to compose music with traditional orchestra sounds as well as what GB offers.
I have found Muse Score and I can get some pretty good results for writing but I want to expand the software instrument voices that GB has.
    I found  http://www.philharmonia.co.uk/thesoundexchange/make_music/samples/library/
and they have some pretty good sounding software instruments for free, except that they are in mp3 format.
I did some reading and see that GB understands a different format for this. I put some of the sounds into the correct GB folder as a test and result is of course no go. I see that GB uses exs and cst files in addition to wav and aff files.
How do I convert mp3 software instrument samples to the formats garageband can use? Is there a way? What would I need to do this?
    Thanks again..

The first step would probably be to convert the samples into AIFF files, that's what GB's sample files are in.
But so far that's only a collection of samples - what you need is a sampler file that tells the software which sample to trigger with which key (the .exs files in GB's instrument library).
Since your software is old, t works pretty well with soundfonts (the latest versions have problems), so you might try this software to create them:
    http://sonicamigos.com/polyphontics/
    All about soundfonts:
    http://www.bulletsandbones.com/GB/Tutorials/SoundFonts.html
P.S.: The softare costs $60, but you can create 10 instruments for free.

  • How to convert .MP3 files into .AAC with iTunes 10.5.2

Im running a Mac OS X 10.5.8, and my iTunes version is 10.5.2.
I want to convert .MP3 files into .AAC using iTunes, but no option is given for me. What should I do?

im not going to change all my songs into AAC, I was experiementing around with making ringtones for my iphone. I can open a song in Garageband, and export it as an AAC file to my itunes, but it is very annoying. I remember older versions of itunes having a "Convert to AAC" option, but i can't find it anymore on this current version of itunes.
Basically, I want to convert a couple songs into AAC to create ringtones out of them.

  • How to convert mp3 to podcast

I want to convert mp3 files, (lectures) as podcasts to play them on the iphone. The iphone just imports them into music and plays them as songs on the iphone. Just changing the Options to podcast, in the info section doesn't change it on the iphone, only in itunes on the mac?

Here is the answer that works well. The instructions may seem long, but it really isn't hard to do once you've tried it.
To make mp3 files into podcasts:
First, in itunes, find the mp3 file(s) in the music section, and hit edit, then delete. It will tell you that
it will remove it from itunes and the iphone, click OK.
Then it will ask you if you want to put the file in the trash or keep the file
in the music folder. Keep the file. This will remove it from itunes, and the iphone, which is what you want.
Second, open up a finder window on the mac. Navigate to the itunes music folder,
which is in machd/users/johnsmith/music/itunes/itunes music. Then open another finder window alongside the one that is showing the itunes music folder. In that finder window, create a unique named new folder on the desktop, such as "movedmusic". Now, go to the itunes music folder and drag the mp3 file over to the "movedmusic" folder and drop it there. Now, the mp3 file is no longer in itunes at all.
Third, go back to itunes main screen, click File, then "add to library". It will open a mini finder window of it's own. Navigate to the "movedmusic" folder you created on your desktop and select the mp3 file, and let it import into itunes.
Don't worry about where itunes puts it. iTunes will put it in "songs", but that is ok. It is still seen as "new" to itunes.
Fourth, go to the "music" at the top left of itunes menu. Find the newly imported mp3 file. Right click and select "get info". Open "options" and change it from "music" to "podcast" and hit OK. Now, you will see it disappear from the main screen in music. Go to podcasts on the left menu, and it will now be in podcasts. But WAIT! There is one more step to do or it won't sync to your iphone. Now go to the iphone on the left hand menu and select it under "devices". Then go to the iphone's "podcasts" tab, and you'll see the mp3 file you just added as a podcast. Make sure you put a check in the checkbox, that will tell itunes to sync your newly added mp3 PODCAST to your iphone. Then go over to File at the top of itunes and select "sync iphone". After the iphone syncs, your mp3 will be on your iphone in the podcast menu, and not in the songs menu!

  • How to convert a shape into text

After searching for a while, I could only find the opposite, how to convert from text to shape. I this case I have a shape that I would like to conver to text so that I can use it as a bullet. Any suggestions on how to do this in photoshop CS5?
    Thank you

Depending on your needs, an alternative solution could be to use a program like inDesign that can do inline graphics. Inline graphics are image objects that you can place at the insertion point of the text tool while typing text and they will flow with the text like when you place images here in the messages of this forum or word processors like Microsoft Word but inDesign has the capabilities to have text on paths, shapes, etc with all bells and whistles of a layout program.
