I bought the device 3.5 years ago in Cincinnati and the device is locked to AT & T
Currently I live in Israel and I want to use the device on a local network.
It is over three years have passed, I have not had the original receipt of purchase.
I turned on the phone to Apple and they told me to go to the same store where I bought the device. But I do not live more in the U.S., I am in another country.
What can you do?

You can't do this directly within the device. Your media needs to be in an iTunes library on your computer. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device if necessary.
Select your song.
On the Get Info > Options tab set start and stop times less than 40 seconds apart.
Under Edit > Preferences > General tab > Import Settings choose AAC Encoder > High Quality 128k.
Right-click on the song and select Create AAC version.
Reset the start and stop times on the original track.
Right-click on the new copy and click Show in Windows Explorer.
Change the file extension from .m4a to .m4r. (You may need to adjust folder options to see the extensions)
Move the file into the Automatically Add to iTunes folder.
Delete the broken entry to the file that you renamed and moved.

Hi guys, I have a serious problem here with creating iPhone apps in Flash. I have created an app for the iPhone completely using Flex components long before CS5 came out. I've been looking for tutorials but with no luck. My issue is that I am not very sure how to convert the app to be used on iPhone.
As I've read the forums, some of you suggested compiling using command line. I guess that would be awesome. However, would it work if I'm using Flex framework? I've already tried to import my .SWF in Flash using loader.load() and add the mx.* component using addChild(VideoExample) I need just some solution that would save me days of searching and rewriting code, but any solution will be good. I have started a similar thread in Flash but if I get any answers here I will delete it.

Random selections of mp4 videos won't sync, convert for iPhone option in iTunes comes up with unknown error 2002, help please!

I've been having massive issues copying mp4 video files onto my iPhone 4 from my windows 7 (64 bit) pc.
I converted a large number of avi files into mp4 using aiseesoft movie converter and most of them work just fine.
However about a quarter of the files with no Obvious difference in size and converted the same way will not sync.
Instead a message appears saying these cannot be played on the iPhone.
Also when then trying to use the iTunes convert for iPhone function It fails for unknown error 2002.
Any help on why this is happening and how to stop it would be greatly appreciated.

When the videos are in the Movie library, try using the Create IPod and iPhone Version in the Afvanced tab of iTunes.

I've been doing some searching, and I've found info on how to convert my movie in FCP to play on an iPod, but everything seems to be dated to 2006.
What is the latest way to convert my final movies to be able to play on an iPod? What size does it need to be and what compression settings?
BTW, I'm using FCP 4.0 on a Mac G5. My movie is 1 hour and 17 minutes long (so should it take 13 hours to convert?) I'm using the instructions from the following link to do this:

Export as a self contained, or even reference QUicktime Movie. Seeing that you are on FCP 4, you do not have the handy Compressor that has iPod settings. BUT, look at the Elgato Turbo.264 encoder. USB hardware encoding ENHANCING device that has presets for iPod and iPhone.
Might be slow on the G4, but the sucker screams on my MacPro. Best $80 I have spent in a while.

The way I go from Mobi > ePub is to use Vibosoft ePub creator or iStonsoft mobi to epub converter to convert, use Modify ePub to put in the cover and then use Sigil to rename the files and clean up the code/CSS. I find that's the easiest way to do it.

Convert mp3 to AAC (you can also cut interesting part of the song using information page in file properties) and then rename file extension from m4a to m4r and reimport it to itunes and viola!
