How to convert piano notation to alto sax notation?

I'm still new to Logic Express so bear with me.
I've written a song with alto sax and I'd like to print the notation for a live sax player. However, the sax is a transposing instrument and reads the treble clef as Eb. Is it possible to change the key of the clefs for proper notation?

Yes this is possible.
I won't pretend to be an expert, but open the piano roll, above the keyboard are the words 'Global Tracks' click on the arrow to expand this tree. Expand the 'signature' tree and to the right above the actual midi area you will see by default the 'c' key. You can click on this and change it to what you want. The 'score' editor will reflect this.
I am not sure if that is what you need. What I cannot find is how to take a score and simply say - transpose a tone and a half (which is what e flat is to c) and it does it for you. All you are doing here is simply changing the key which is not the same as transposing.
There is a transposing option in the top left of the arrange window (where the 'loop' check box is) but that is only in whole tones it seems I cannot work out how to add 'half' values. Unless I have read this completely wrong. But changing this will not alter the score, so you may need a combination of the two things.
Perhaps someone can be more concise

Hi Nishant,
U can use the statement WRITE TO. This will write the data as per the user settings. When ever user changes his settings like decimal notations then this statement will write the data as per the current settings of the user.
DATA: l_amount1 TYPE wrbtr VALUE '123.45',
l_amount(16) TYPE c.
WRITE:/1 l_amount1.
WRITE l_amount1 TO l_amount.
WRITE:/1 l_amount.
Just copy paste above code in a sample program. First execute this program and note the output. Then change the user settings for decimal notations and log of from SAP(Because user settings will become active only after fresh login). Now execute ur report and see the difference. In this way u no need to change the program when ever user changes his settings.
This thing not pnly applies for amount but also for date, time Quantity fields

How to convert scientifice notation to double?

Hi, is there any way to convert "computerized scientific notation" double number to simple double number.
In my program I am reading a number from a XML file.
Let says the value is 8995656566. I convert this value to a double using
Double("8995656566").doubleValue().
This returns 8.995656566E9.
Is there any way to get the doulbe value without 'E'?
I need a double value not a String so DecimalFormat won't help here.

The double or Double value doesn't contain the E. Only the String representation does. So, you should have the correct value (unless you are trying to force too many significant digits, but that isn't true for your example.

How to Convert from Notator to Logic Pro

In the 90's the precursor to Logic was called Notator. In the Arrange page you could place Verses and Choruses in any order you wanted to place them, which included changing the keys of any verse or chorus collectively or separately. Slick.
I've opened an old song from Notator into Logic Pro, does anyone have any ideas how to change the key of each arrange page without changing each instrument on each page separately……..

How to convert xslt file into string

i'm writting a java program to use xslt to transform the xml file. i'm encountering the problem when i try to convert the xslt file into string. i've defined my utility class called 'XmlUtil' to carry out the operation of transform xml file through xslt. but in my main java program i need to convert both xml and xslt file into a string in order to input them in my function argument. my function argument is as follows:

I don't understand why you need load the XML and XLS files into a String. A Transformer can be constructed from a Source and there is a StreamSouce which can be constructed from an InputStream. The transform() method can take a Source as input and can produce a Result. There is no need to go near a String representation of either the input.

"ALTO SAX is NO EXS instrument" ?

Hi there,
I'm trying to put some alto-sax in my song and when I choose the instrument I get a message something like "ALTO SAX is NO EXS instrument".
I looked for it in the sampler instruments map and it's 0Kb. Same goes for some other instruments (with 'Clean Electric Guitar', 'Pop Flute" and "Trumpet Section" among them)
Since I did install all instruments from the proper Apple dvd's I wonder how I could get use of these instruments.
I was thinking of re-installing garageband, but I'm afraid of losing all the settings to other GB-projects.
Does anyone have a suggestion how to get the Sax in my life?

Hi,
what I normally do when I'm making a score, is that I quantize the part I recorded to, say, 1/16th. If I play the quantized part, it should sound exactly what I intended. If not, I make corrections. This way, I'm pretty sure that the interpretation of the score window will be pretty accurate. Otherwise, the score could interprete a note that's a bit too early or a bit too late as a 1/32 note, and make a mess of the notes.
When playing full piano scores, make sure to play as simple as possible, because embellishments also make messier scores.

You should find another extranal system id in order to mantain uniqueness, but you could also use the name field (that supports 50 characters), but it deppends of which entity you are using.
Which is the entity? and...if the only way to insert data is by web services the you could use more than one field to verify uniqueness since you can query more than one field at the time.

Does anyone know how to convert a Web app into a channel inside the Portal server 6.0?
I developed the web app and tried to create a provider and a channel for it, but the Portal server did not recognize the WEB-INF folder and give me errors saying that it couldn't locate the class files.
I also have a problem with URL inside my jsp page (channel).
For example, I have two jsp pages:
/etc/opt/SUNWps/desktop/default/MyCustomProvider/test1.jsp
/etc/opt/SUNWps/desktop/default/MyCustomProvider/test2.jsp
and when I try to put a link from test1.jsp to test2.jsp using
... and make a channel based on test1.jsp. The channel will display the link as "http://mydomain/portal/test2.jsp" and result in "Error: page not found". I want the link to point to

To summarize my questions,
1) Where should the web app be located in the Portal server?
2) How to make a link inside one jsp page (channel) to point to another page inside the same folder?

Don't use SSIS to convert. Use SSIS to FTP the files out.
How you convert to PDF: the format is owned by Adobe so there might be royalties involved, but there are paid and free (OSS) libraries to doing so. Just search online.

Actually for a material A when i see the stock in MM03 in accounting tab i see less stock then when i see in MMBE
i.e in MMBE if i select Material A and Plant B(Which is depo in my case) i see stock as 39
but for same material MAterial A and Plant B ,if i see in MM03 --in accounting tab i m able to see less stock i.e only 1

And in MMBE for a partiocular material for a particular plant the stock was 39
i.e Here i am getting Valuated + Non valuated stock

I have gone to MB5B where i can get all the transaction that has been done on this material with movement type also i got the intial stock ,Goods recpt ,Goods issu and total stock
No for a particular material
In MB5B it is showing
Stock on 01.01.2005    = 38
receipts total               = 238
Issues total                  =237
Stock as on 18.02.2008 = 39(which is equal to Stock in MMBE)
=============>This is for valuated +Non valuated stock
Where as if i want to see only valuated stock it was showing
receipts total      = 238
Issues total         =237
Stock as on 18.02.2008 =1 (which is equal to stock in acctg view in MM03)

The initial qty(38) which has been posted it was at the begining that is at the start of the project

Actuallly i have checked the history of that particular Item in MB51
I have gone through all the documents created for this material
Now this material also exist in DEPO which is located at chennai and plant is at mumbai
So Initially in the year-2006(31-10-2006) whater documents are created i.e STOP has been created and delivery has been made (Mov type-601)
are non valuated stock ,means they have been posted without any valuation
But from year 2007(01.02.2007) the documents whiohc have been posted are valuated
i.e is the reason when i am executing transaction MRN9 to check the history of valuated stock
I cant see non valuated stock
Well now how to do the valuation of this stock which have been posted in year 2006 so that
