How to convince Externals IronPort is safe to send confidental emails?

Please can some one in Cisco help me
I need to put together a nice docuement peferable with nice graphics if available to explain that Cisco IronPort is a secure means of sending email data and that Iron port uses industry standard high levels of encyption and just how secure that is.
This will mean basicly that any one that needs to send a confidental email to me, will be able to evaluate how strong IRONPORT is and know they are following good practise and remaining correct to their data policys for transit.
Please can I have some good links or some aleady detailed documention that explains the security of IronPort send secure?

If data management and persons wishing to be secure regarding the way they send data to their customers or vendors and currently rely on simple password protected files.
What is more secure? a word docuement intercepted with a five chracter all lower case password or a non password protected word docuement but sent over Ironport Encryption Appliance?
If a word file with a simple password is intercepted in transit, it would be security risk compared to this same file being sent with no password and over cisco's ironport solution.
Where is this information.
How many bits is secure mail, it is HTTPS but that in conjunction with Ironport is how secure.
How can customers know they can rely on Ironport to both send and receive emails via  “Ironport Encryption Appliance”.
Please can some one dirrect me in the correct dirrection ?

  • How can I set the program to automaticaly send recieved email addresses to my address book?

As the question asks, how can I set the program to automatically add new email address from messages to my address book. Other email programs can be set up to do this. If this can't be done in Firefox, why not. It's the best email program otherwise.

First off Firefox is an Internet browser and does not deal with email addresses or have an address book to add them to. Secondly I cannot think of a good reason to add the address of each piece of spam to the Thunderbird address book.
There are addons that will pick out addresses from incoming email and add them to the Thunderbird address book. I suggest you search through the add on list for one that fits your needs.

I found the problem at my IronPort C170, It always cannot sent email to some domain and show message detail code 4.4.0 or 4.4.2, then put in the queue. But I try to set to use as relay to another SMTP server, it can send mail very smoothly. Do you have any ideas that I misconfigure?

Hi Billy, if you move mouse cursor over the number of spam messages on page Monitor>Spam quarantine, what URL address you see?
    Something like https://www.domain.com:83/Search?auth=13900f1d2a029b017464c596a88bb7a8?
Can you resove "www.domain.com" to correct IP address of your ESA server?
Are Spam Quarantine>Spam Quarantine HTTP & Spam Quarantine HTTPS enabled at Network>IP Interfaces>Interface page? Do interface's IP address & spam quarantine ports match to URL address (does www.domain.com resolve to this IP address) at Monitor>Spam quarantine?

  • How to change the fact that after I send 5 emails I get a message to the effect that I cannot send more than 5 in 30 minutes?

So, I'm busily responding to emails, etc. etc. and, as I say, after 5 emails are sent in quick succession, I get some sort of message saying I may not send more than 5 messages in 30 minutes ... !!! How can I get rid of this limitation? Because, what happens is I then save the emails I'm writing as drafts -- but I don't always remember they are sitting in the drafts folder and am horrified when I go check a few days later and there are my email replies waiting to be sent.

  • How copy article from Internet, paste into document, send as email attachment

A friend has asked me to do some research for her. She has limited online hours. She wants me to copy articles from Internet, paste them into a document, then send that document AS AN ATTACHMENT to an email. I know how to copy the article, BUT I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PASTE IT INTO A DOCUMENT, NOR DO I KNOW HOW TO SEND THAT DOCUMENT AS AN ATTACHMENT TO EMAIL.
Normally when I copy and paste, it goes directly into the email. The goal of this method I have been asked to use, is so that the recipient can download the document and read it off line. Thanks for any advice on this.

Others give good advice, here - but, to answer your question...
First, you'll need to use a text editor to create the document that will contain the pasted information, and which will become the attachment to your email. TextEdit, which probably came with your Mac, will work. Whatever text editor or word processor you use, be sure to Save the document in a format she can open. Rich text is probably the safest choice, because almost any word processor can open that format.
So, start TextEdit, and when the new document appears, select Save from the File menu. When the Save window pops up, give the new document a name, and select your Desktop for the location. Down at the bottom of the Save window, for File Format, choose Rich Text Format (RTF). If she is not on a Mac, be sure the Hide Extension box is NOT checked. Click the Save button.
Now you can start copying and pasting from websites. The process will go like this:
Select some text, then choose Copy from your browser's Edit menu. Next, switch to TextEdit, put your cursor where you want the text to appear, and select Paste from TextEdit's Edit menu. (If you are going to do a lot of this, it will pay to learn the keyboard shortcuts.)
Selecting text on web pages can be somewhat frustrating. For really long selections, click once to put your cursor where you want to start copying, scroll down to where you want to end, and - while holding down the Shift key - click again; everything between the clicks will be selected. Try to select text, only. If you paste any graphics into your RTF document, TextEdit will prompt you to re-Save the document in RTFD format. If she really needs graphics, you can do that, but before you do, be sure she can open documents in that format. Most tables on web pages are impossible to copy and paste without the columns and rows going all out of alignment, so screen shots - which are images - are the best bet for tables. (If she can't open a RTFD document, you can convert the FINISHED file to a non-editable, but easily viewable, PDF document by choosing that option from the Print window. Be warned that if you create a long document with many graphics, and then convert it to PDF, the file size can get big - possibly preventing some mail servers from delivering it.)
When you start pasting into TextEdit, you are going to get all sizes of text in various colors and fonts. If you paste text from a web-page that has white text on a black background, you will not see the white letters on your white page (tip: select the white area). After the first text is pasted into TextEdit, go to the Format menu and select Font>Show Fonts and a new tool window will appear. Select the text you just pasted, and format it to a readable size and font, then de-select the text. From now on, whenever you want to paste: from TextEdit's Edit menu, select Paste and Match Style.
When you are ready to send the file, Save and Close your TextEdit document. From Mail's File menu, select Attach File. Navigate to your Desktop, select your document, and, if she is using Windows, check the box to Send Windows Friendly Attachments. Click Choose File, to add the attachment to your email.

  • How to get a DELIVERY / READ CONFIRMATION after sending an email

What can I do to receive a delivery confirmation or confirmation if my sent mail has been read by the addressee? Thanks for the support!

    Hello,
You can ask for a delivery receipt by this way:
    In terminal app, enter:
    defaults write com.apple.mail UserHeaders '{"Disposition-Notification-To" = "[email protected]"; }'
where [email protected] is the account mail adress.
This work fine except that it'll don't work if you send a mail to... Apple mail or some other apps that don't support receipt, but using this tip you'll sometime receive read notification
If terminal is a trouble, use notification4mail you can find at http://www.logimac.net/index.html .

  • How can I keep my MacBook safe is Apple is no longer supporting Snow Leopard? My MacBook was purchased in 2006 and cannot be upgraded to the newer operating systems.

I have a MacBook which I purchased in 2006. It cannot upgrade to newer operating systems.Since Apple has stopped support to Snow Leopard, how can I keep my MacBook safe? Buying another computer is not an option. Any ideas or suggestions? Many thanks.

    Klaus1 wrote:
Apple still sell, and therefore support, Snow Leopard.
For what it's worth, from my reading of the Snow Leopard EULA (and I would  assume that there is similar language in the EULAs for all other operating systems, as well), I'm not seeing any obligation on the part of Apple to provide Security Updates of any kind, period/full stop. The wording appears to be completely "use at your own risk." I have no idea whether this "use at your own risk" would survive a legal challenge, or if such a legal challenge would depend on whether or not Apple is still selling (or even giving away for free) an OS, or whether local law would, according to this, override the EULA. Perhaps this is why Apple never formally announces EOL or discontinuance of support for an OS. They can always claim that they are still supporting an OS, whether or not in any practical sense, they are. There was even a very late Flashback detection and removal script which Apple issued for 10.5 well after it was clear that they had stopped supporting Leopard. This hardly constituted ongoing support, but perhaps it was to deter the threat of legal action, or maybe it was simply out of benevolence. I don't know.
Besides that, even when Apple was still actively "supporting" Snow Leopard, which I don't think it is any longer, "use at your own risk" would still have applied to a case where Apple may have been late with a patch, or a response, or an adequate response, to a zero-day threat, such as Flashback was, which was constantly evolving. Many thousands were affected by that, and, to my knowledge, at least, there was no legal action directed at Apple throughout or after that episode. If there was any, I don't think it succeeded.
