How to copy a music CD using OS X

I have been trying to figure out how to simply copy a music CD. My sister likes me to make copies of CDs and give them to her; if she likes it, then she buys the real thing. I am not looking to sell or pirate anything. It is just a way for her to sample before buying.
This is something that was so simple on my Dell. Why doesn't CD copy software come with Mac OS X? The only option I have found is to rip the CD into iTunes, then create a playlist, then burn a CD from the playlist, then delete the playlist from iTunes. This is way too many steps.
Please do not suggest using another format - my sister is not computer savvy and isn't interested in getting MP3s or DVDs or anything other than a regular old CD.
I have searched online for a CD copier application but have found nothing simple and free. Help!
Maybe I should go back to Windows...ugh.

I use Toast Titanium for my audio/visual copy needs, which you have to purchase. Roxio's Popcorn is a pretty good, for purchase, program also.

How To Copy Selected Music From One Library to Another?

What is the best way to copy selected music from one library to another?
I have a big and growing iTunes library -- 33,000 songs.
A year ago I copied my library to my daughter's new iMac. Now, a year later, I'm off to visit her and wonder how best to update her library. In the past year I have added a number of items to my library and I'm sure she has done the same -- some might be the same but many will be different.
How do I update her library with the new things I've added in the past year but not wipe out things she had added or duplicate when we each have a song?
I can load any / all of my stuff on an external HD and take that to plug in to her computer. Then what? I want to avoid duplicates and make sure I get stuff like album artwork.
I'm running iTune 10.4 on an iMac with OS X 10.6.8 -- my daughter will have the same iTunes and OS X once we update her software.
Any advice would be great.

If you're sharing the same Apple ID and all your songs are from the iTunes Store, it's easy:
In iTunes on your computer, go to File->Preferences->Store and check the box next to MUSIC under AUTOMATIC DOWNLOADS.
You should also read this article, the section titled TO DOWNLOAD PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED APPS, BOOKS, MUSIC, OR TV SHOWS TO YOUR COMPUTER:

You could also use an rsync utility such as backuplist+ to perform a 2-way sync of the files in your two libraries while your computers are connected via FireWire with one of them in FireWire Target Disk Mode, or from your external hard drive with your daughter's computer and then to yours again. After that, you'll need to use iTunes on each computer to update its library with the new files:

This last would also be the preferred method if you have authorized each other's computers for media purchased with each other's Apple IDs (i.e. you are not sharing the same Apple ID), or if you have music from sources other than the iTunes Store. Most likely, though, music from sources other than the iTunes Store would not be legal to copy in this way for this purpose, although there is probably no technical impediment.

I have copied my CD music file. Of 322 songs from my Windows 7 into iTunes. After plugging in the ipad into the computer, I selected all music to highlight them and tried to drag and drop the ipad. That did not work. I'm wondering if the music has to be transformed into an Apple format. How do you do that? Thanks again,Don

How To Copy DVDs to iPod using free software for Windows

To take existing DVDs that you have around the house and put them onto iPod:
You'll need two programs, DVD Decrypter and Videora iPod Converter.
Now, use this step by step tutorial for converting DVDs with DVD Decrypter. Note: Once you reach the part about PSP Video 9, stop watching and use the 'One Click Transcode' option in Videora to select and convert the VOB file that DVD Decrypter produces.
Once you have a converted file, add it to iTunes in the same way as music (drag it into the iTunes library) and it will automatically copy across to your iPod.

Is that an error message coming up when you try to use the program? If not, I wouldn't worry about it.
If you cannot get DVDs to rip then that could be a problem. But to be honest, I have no idea what an ASPI layer is and my copy of DVD Decrypter works fine. I suspect this is probably an integral Windows component and you already have it.

I spent 3 hours sending them all to itunes match
now I have:
     duplicate tune files on my phone
     files on my pc that lost their track/artist info and now appear as Track 1 (2,3,etc)
          i have listened to all of these and renamed them manually
     music files that were on my phone are now missing
     music files that were shipped on my pc that I never played/wanted are on my phone
In addition, I used to be able to select and play music from "music" on the phone through the radio in my car. Now, the selected music only plays through the phone speaker, while, at the same time, the radio starts playing the entire library in alphabetical order from the first song title.
This is a nightmare.
How do I delete unwanted tunes from my iPhone? How do I get everything to match up? How do I wipe all the music from my phone and my laptop so I can just start over?

iphone is connected via usb to pc and they are on the same wireless network
itunes on the pc occasionally freezes/loses the iphone (it disappears from the device list)/says it does not recognize the iphone
all device, app, and os updates have been run in the last week.
All of this misery started on Tuesday--i spent 3 hours on the phone with an apple tech to step me through the match process, and didn't discover all the problems until a few hours later.

How to make a music video using flash

am trying to make a music video for a uni project, one of the things I'm trying to do in the video is to fade in a word at a time in whilst keeping them all aligned properly as a sentence - is there an easy way to do this?

I was thinking of saving the inputs in variables (starting in a) with previous value 0 following this logic:
if (a==0) {a=36}
else if (b==0) {b=36}
else if (c==0) {c=36}
where 36 is the frame where this button clip starts.
then, when the user is done i would do this at the end frame of each clip
if (a=/=0) {frame=a; a=0; goto frame}
else if (b=/=0) {frame=b; b=0; goto b}
my only problem here would be how do record the video...

New hard drive, how to put my music back using ipod

my computer broke (its a dell) and since its fairly new, my computer guy had to replaced the memory and hard drive. everything was wiped out, my documents, pictures, and my itunes library. i had to install itunes again, but i still had my account but all the music was wiped out. luckily my ipod has all my music on it and was updated before my computer crashed. how do i safely transfer all the music on my ipod to my library? will it all go in under one playlist or can i transfer it so my playlists (purchased, favs, etc...) are added as well?

I use iTunes store for buying music pretty much and receive files in MPEG4 format.
Instead of converting to MP3 I would prefer that my Creative Media Source player/organiser could handle the MPEG4 format. I'm using the Media Source player with an Audigy2ZS and sometimed the older Soundblaster-USB for notebooks.
Is there an upgrade that I have overlooked or ...
Or shall I buy a more professional player, like BMP studio?
I don't like the iTunes player very well!

How do I shuffle music when using genre option

Since new iOS 7 upgrade the shuffle option on genre for music is no longer there. I can't tell whether it is still there or no longer an option. It was there before the upgrade and it was something I used a lot. The iPhone 5 is my 1st apple product. Please advise if there is an option.

Found the answer from Jesse Hollington at iLounge :
"Swipe downward to reveal the search field and type in your Genre name there. When it appears in the search results you can tap on it to view all of the tracks assigned to that particular genre, grouped by album. Tap on an individual track and your device will begin playback using the displayed list of tracks as your playlist."
Tried it, and it works!

Hello everyone, i got a new computer and i redid my itunes on to it, but when i plug in the ipod it shows the music however when i try to import new music, it ask if i want to overwright the old library cause it is linked to another itunes....what do i do to keep my old library???

In iTunes, you can Control-Click on a song and select "Show in Finder".
In theory you should also be able to select all the songs in the playlist (command-A) and drag them to the USB disk.

I suggest you simply copy your entire User folder from old computer to new computer. This way all your data (Music, photos, contacts, emails, calendars, documents, etc.) goes across.
