How to copy Advanced Layout Designer report to another company?

Hi all,
With copy express i cant copy any report that is done with the advanced layout designer (i think in copy express only appear SAP BO standard things). Exist any way to pass those reports to other company? In advance layout designer i cant save the report in a directory that i choose (only appear 'save' and not 'save as').
Where SAP save those reports,in what directory of server?

You can export your layouts from SBO - Administration>Add-ons>ALD>Export Layouts. That will bring up a window where you can select the folder where you want to export to. All layouts will be exported.You can delete the layouts you don't want to import into the new company. From within the new company - Administration>Add-ons>ALD>Import Layouts.

It is possible provided there is a relationship which exists between two tables.
You can add a Database field. Goto the Properties and selct Content Tab.
Now in the Table dropdown, hold the Alt Key and click. This displays all the tables in B1. After selecting the Table, you can select the related Column.
Remember there should be a relationship which exists between this column and existing columns.
Because PLD works completely on Joins to my understanding

Print correction Invoice with Advance Layout Designer

Dear All,
we will use the Correction invoice in the System.
But i couldn't find a possibility to create a Layout for this document Type.
The Document Type is OCSI but this i couldn't find it in the Define Layouts List.

i search a way to create a Layout with the Advance Layout Designer for the correction Invoice.
i cant open the designer for that. just can create the standard Layout from the system..
do you know if the Advance Layout are supported wit the 8.8 Version?

Copy Express - Copying Print Layout Designs from one company to another

Dear All,
i was wondering if one of you on the forum could help me with copy express.
I understand through the DIAPI, you cannot code to copy print layout designs, and if you copy the fields through SQL, SAP will no longer support the database.
It is the first time using Copy Express and am very confused about what to do.
Could someone post a step by step was of saving a design and then copying from one database to another.

You can do this......
Go to PLDs and save a different copy of every PLDs by making Save as and then try to copy such PLDs.
I also encountered such problem and I tried the same I suggest you.
So try once.....

Where to download the Advanced Layout Designer (ALD)?

Hi everyone,
I've read a lot about the Advanced Layout Designer, and would like to try using it rather than the PLD I've been using. However, I've searched and searched but see no mention of where to download this add-on. Could someone please provide me with the link? We are on SBO 2007A, SP:00, PL:42.

Please note the server 'websmp204' may not work all the time as everytime you connect to SAP page you are direct to one of SAP server.
I do recommend to use the generic path:
https://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/ald
Anyway to download the ALD or any SAP B1 patches you can go direct to 'Software Distribution Center' -> choose update -> the version you want and you will find the ALD.

How to copy one column BLOB value into another column of another database.
BLOB value contains word document.
I thought of copy the BLOB value into a text file and then update the new column value by the same text in textfile. Will this work?
Is there any other better way to do this?

BLOB fields contains binary data. I don't think you can do this
Also if I view the BLOB as text. Can I copy it and insert into the new database.

To copy either a Script or a Smartform fron one client to another client i.e from reference client 000 to any client say 010 follow instructions as given below:
Go to Tcode SE71->Give Form name MEDRUCK then go to Menu path Utilities->Copy From Client, give
Form Name: MEDRUCK
SOURCE:000 (it will be already there)
Target Form: Zmedruck(here give ur form zname)
Execute
It will be copied into all languages.
Then come back to SE71
Give your form name Zmedruck
Language:: de then goto change mode
then menu path->utilities->convert original languge to En and enter you will get a message original language of form zmedruck converted from de to en,
now change language de to en in se71 main screen and then do what ever changes you want to do , this is how you can copy a script or smartform from one client to another client.

What do you want to achieve? Do you really want to create a copy of an image, and thus create a second copy of the master image file? You will waste disk space this way.
Usually you would create new versions of an image, if you want versions with different adjustments. Versions do not require much additional disk space. But all versions of an image have to be in the same project. To create a new version: Main menu bar -> Photos -> Duplicate Version
To create a copy of an image in another project (and to waste the space ) drag the image to another project while holding down the option key. This will create a copy in the other project.
Sofar nobody here could come up with a good reason why one would want to create a copy. I am curious what in your workflow requires you to do that. Would you mind to tell us?

i create a new company, with empty data.
Because i stop the training company and now start with live company.
In training company, i created so many report, and now i must copy the reports to live company.
I try to open two SAP window, and i open Print Layout Designer (PLD). Then i try to select all and copy then i switch to PLD in live company, but i cant paste it.
So.. how to solve this problem?

First thing first Take a copy of existing report,
1.Open the report in edit mode.
2.Click on the edit query.
3.Click on the properties tab.
4.Click on the universe name and change the universe with the new one.
5.Now map the dimentions and measure of the new data provider to the old one.
6.Run the report.

I have created an alv report using class cl_gui_alv_grid.I got another report in the same screen,when double clicked on basic list(using double_click event).I want to get this report in another screen.What i have to do?(In classical reports i worked with sy-lsind = 1 ,but how to do here?)

On double click event . you will have to call another screen say 9000.
now within screen 900 PBO.. you will have to prepare the fieldcatalog/layout.. and the table to be displayed there.
in PAI of screen 9000, you can return to the original ALV.

Hi,
the BP search is its own web client UI component. For the integration you could check any standard transaction UI component like the BT115H_SLSO, as those contain several partner fields.

How to copy footer of one PLD to another PLD

Dear All,
Is it possible to copy the footer of one PLD to another footer of PLD. e.g PLD name A footer details copied to PLD name B.

Kawish,
It is absolutely possible. Make sure the hidden fields are displayed in your layout designer, then select all the fields in the footer which you want to copy - along with the hidden ones. You can simply draw a frame around the fields to highlight them together. Then either press CTRLC to copy or go to Edit -> Copy. Close the layout, then open the one where you want to paste the fields. You don't need to specify the exact place where you want to put them as SAP will place them exactly to the same position they were in the base layout. So just simply press CTRLV or Edit -> Paste and the fields will be pasted.
The system might ask you at the time of pasting if you want to use the same field numbers as you had in the base layout, if you say yes, then the formulas will still work correctly too. Otherwise the system gives these fields the next incrementing field numbers.
Save the layout and it's ready to use.

How to copy pictures from one iPad to another iPad?

I want to copy pictures in my new iPad3 to my iPad1 without going through my apple computer. Is there a way to do it? I tried to use the usb connector to sync but it can only go from my iPad 3 to iPad1 but not the other way around. (I did try to switch the "direction" of the usb connector.)
If I have to go through my apple computer, how should I proceed? I have created another iTune library for the new iPad3.

Use Finder on your computer to locate your iPad when attached. Dig down through the folders (which will only contain photos and videos) to locate your photos. Select them and copy them to a new folder or folders on your computer and subsequently check that folder or folders in iTunes during a sync to the other iPad.

Abdul,
Use the Functional Administrator to get the XML files for the Personalizations. If you notice you would observe that for a particular file with path:
oracle/apps/ap/abc/webui/XXPG
the personalization xml wd be created as
oracle/apps/ap/abc/customization/responsibility/12345/webui/XXPG (where 12345 is the responsibility Id).
You would need to create 60 such copies with 60 different responsibility Ids. Also in the actual XML document you would need to update the responsibility key for each responsibility individually.
As a suggestion why dont you do your personalizations at the site level itself. For those responsibilities where you dont need this (assuming that is lesser in number) you personalize again so that the site level personalizations dont take effect.
