How to copy and paste web design styles from the web

I am not doing so well with the web style templates provided in the latest versions of IWeb.
Is there a way to copy and paste the html code from some site who's design I like then paste it into my Iweb and then put in my content to the style that was up?
I used to be able to do do this about 10 years ago with a Claris Homepage program, don't see how to do it with IWeb.
It's like I have to do everything from scratch, draw background boxes, don't see frames.
Thanks everyone..
Jack E.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. No you can't copy the code form a site and use it in an iWeb page. To use frames you would use an HTML snippet and this code:
<IFRAME SRC = "URL OF PAGE YOU WANT TO FRAME" WIDTH="XXXpx" HEIGHT="XXpx" FRAMEBORDER="0" --if "0" no border, otherwise "1" with border MARGINWIDTH ="0px" MARGINHEIGHT="0px" SCROLLING="no" --"no" no scrolling bar, "yes" show always, "auto" showed when need > Your browser does not support IFRAME </IFRAME>
You can get more info at this site:iFrame code.
I've creates a demo site which describes many of the features and tricks I've learned from this forum. This iWeb FAQ site is a wealth of information on using iWeb and all of it's capabilities.

Thank you. I have heard of Logic Pro 7, but I have never personally used it. I'm still growing in the world of Composition, and I know that it is something I will be studying in one of my Computer Music classes coming up for my degree. I think it is something I will look into getting once I can justify the price of it. I guess for the time being, I will continue to play and grow in my ability to use and take advantage of GB, and then see what I can do about or with Logic Pro when I'm ready. The thought of spending $1000 for a program is hard to bite, because I've already spent a lot to produce my music, not only electronic music, but also chamber music and so on. I had no idea it would be so expensive to dive deep into the world of composition! lol.
    Finale 2007: $500
    Sibelius 4: $500
    Jam Packs: $400
    Midi Keyboard Interface: $100
    PowerBook: $1700
Printer for printing scores and analysis: $150
    Logic Pro 7: Oy!
As you can see it adds up very quickly...that doesn't even include my personal instruments and study materials.
Thank you for your input, as I haven't really worked much with LP, and therefore didn't know which features are available. I will talk with some of my Composition buddies, and professors and see what they have to say as well, and who knows, I may be able to get the express version through one of them.

  • How to copy and paste a document typed in the EpicWrite (esp. a text typed in Kannada)on a Microsoft Word 2007 page?

    02-03-2012
For last one week, I have been trying in vain to copy and paste a document typed in the Epic Write on a Word 2007 format, so that I can retrieve or modify it anytime without depending on the Internet connection. Whenever, I paste on a webpage, it cannot be edited and when I transfer that on a Word page, only words & figures in English appear and the rest of the text is displayed in blank square boxes.
How I can overcome this problem?

    Are that pages in Unicode?

    Hi DG.
The easiest way to copy an HP Photo Creations project to another computer is to click the Share button. That will upload the project to the Web and give you a link you can paste into an email. Clicking the link on the other computer allows you to download the project and personalize it. This quick video shows the process. (The screen looks slightly different now, but the concept is the same.)
Another way to share a project is copy the project folder to a thumb drive. Look in Documents/HP Photo Creations/My Things to find your saved projects.
Our customer support team would be happy to walk you through the process. Contact them at [email protected]
    Hope this helps,

  • How to copy and paste a single pixel

How to copy and paste a single pixel
I want to copy a single pixel and then paste it in the
    position of
another pixel in the same image.
(This is in effect changing the colour of the target pixel,
    isn't it.
But in my case copying an existing pixel seems simpler than
    selecting a
colour from the swatch or using the colour picker.)
What is the most efficient way of doing this?
I tried to select one pixel with the marquee tool. Then
    copied it with
control-C, but then how do I select the target pixel and
    paste with
    control-V?
    Thanks for your help.

  • I am a new iPad user and cannot figure out how to copy and paste from a website to pages. Any insight?

I am a new iPad user. I cannot figure out how to copy and paste from a website to a pages document, and vice versa. Any ideas?

Long press on the text you would like to select (tapping and holding) and then release after the magnifying glass shows up. This will select a single word. Then use the blue dots and drag them to select a region of test. Then press "copy". Open pages, and long press and release where you would like to paste. Then select "paste". That should paste the text.
If the text doesn't select within the browser, it might be an uncopyable format. Like if the text was within an image, naturally you would be unable to select it. The only thing to do there is long press the image and selecting "save image", adding it to your camera roll. Then you could insert the image within pages.

  • IWORK 09-NUMBERS -HOW TO COPY AND PASTE A VARIABLE TO CELLS IN OTHER SHEETS

IN EXCEL I USED COPY IN THE CEL WITH THE VARIABLE AND THEN" PASTE SPECIAL" IN THE OTHER CELLS.WHEN CHANGING THE VARIABLE ALL THE OTHER CELLS TOOK OVER THIS VALUE AND USED IT IN FORMULAS.
IS THERE ANY METHOD IN NUMBERS TO DO THE SAME ?

This thread provides an excellent example of the need to clarify the question before jumping in with an answer.
There's also some misinformation in the post quoted below. The rest of this post addresses ONLY the specific post below, NOT the original question.
    Hwoodwriter wrote:
This is annoying. A work around I found is to make the cells absolute so that the referenced cells do not move when you paste.
I don't see this as a 'workaround,' but as the manner in which Copy Paste is designed to work. If you Cell addresses are considered as 'cell locations relative to the current cell' unless the reference is specified as being an absolute address. If you want to Copy & Paste a formula to a different cell and have the pasted formula use the same referenced cells as the original, you can select and copy the formula from the Formula Bar at the top. This copies the formula as text, which remains the same wherever you paste it.
So if your formula refers to cell B1+B2 and you copy it and paste one cell down your formula then reads C1+C2. To keep your formula always pointed to B1 and B2 it needs to be absolute. $B$1+$B$2. This way you can copy and paste your formula without changing the reference points.
Actually if you copy the cell containing =B1+B2, then paste it one cell right, the formula in the new cell will be =C1+C2.
if you copy the cell containing =B1+B2, then paste it one cell down, the formula in the new cell will be =B2+B3.
Once copied and pasted you can go to the formula bar at the top highlight the cell reference and simply click on the cell you want referenced.
$B$1+$B$2 highlight a cell reference then click on new cell to make formula read $B$1+C2 then change C2 to be absolute if you want.
You will see a small arrow drop down when you cross the cell reference on the right side to change absolute or relative values. Time consuming and frustrating I know.
Time consuming, yes. But what's consuming the time is translating the vertical movement (down) of the formula to a horizontal movement (right- from B2 to C2) of the formula's cell reference. Relative cell references move the reference in the same direction as the formula is moved.

  • How to copy and paste the text in Russian - 'command+c' erases it

How to copy and paste the text in Russian - 'command+c' erases it

I want to publish a book with Blurb. They don't have Russian fonts, so I have to type the text in Russian in Notes in my iPad, send it to my e-mail box, and then open the e-mail box in Mac, and copy and paste the text into the book template of Blurbs. I don't know how to make a Russian keyboard in Mac to be able to type quickly. I asked about it  in the Apple store, and they showed me how to find a Russian keyboard in the net, but it takes much time to type using a screen keyboard, and the texts also cannot be copied and pasted, when they are in Russian. They are erased when I press 'command+C", and all I have is a single letter 'c' instead. No problems with texts in English. Maybe Russian is not supported for copying and pasting?:(

  • How to copy and paste a photo in another folder using Aperture?

How to copy and paste a photo in another folder using Aperture?

What do you want to achieve? Do you really want to create a copy of an image, and thus create a second copy of the master image file? You will waste disk space this way.
Usually you would create new versions of an image, if you want versions with different adjustments. Versions do not require much additional disk space. But all versions of an  image have to be in the same project. To create a new version: Main menu bar -> Photos -> Duplicate Version
To create a copy of an image in another project (and to waste the space ) drag the image to another project while holding down the option key. This will create a copy in the other project.
Sofar nobody here could come up with a good reason why one would want to create a copy. I am curious what in your workflow requires you to do that. Would you mind to tell us?
