How to copy cubes and other objects?

Hello All,
I have implemented APO -Demand Planning Project for one hub Europe in our BW system.NOw we want to roll out the implementation globally and want to copy all the BI objects for seven hubs only changing the field of hub whereever we are using it in routines.
One way of copying all the objects is XML export and import.But for that purpsoe i have to change the XML file maually.We have four cubes , ten ODSs and number of reports and lots of user exit code.Data in ODSs are coming from flat files and it is further updating Cubes.
Anybody knows here any other way to copy the cubes and ODSs and other related objects such as infosources and infopackages etc.

You need to change the format
double tap on the work and then you can select how much you want to copy, to paste just long press on any empty space > paste
Navigation does work, but you must make a map offline (open maps > select the area/city > menu > offline)

How To Copy Slides without Losing Object Properties

Because I was working in a corrupt file, I had to copy and paste my slides into a new project.
After doing this, I see that my click boxes, captions, and other objects lose their properties (including Item Name, "On Success: Show" instructions, timing, etc.)
Is there any way to copy and paste slides into a new project without losing this critical piece of each slide?!

I had a similar problem when I first started using Captivate. I was able to copy the objects while maintaining the properties by exporting all
objects from the corrupt source files to a new project.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem. You may have installed a variant of the "VSearch" ad-injection malware. Follow Apple Support's instructions to remove it.
If you have trouble following those instructions, see below.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. This procedure works as of now, as far as I know. It may not work in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for a more recent discussion, or start a new one.
The VSearch malware tries to hide itself by varying the names of the files it installs. To remove it, you must first identify the naming pattern.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder named "LaunchDaemons" may open. Look inside it for two files with names of the form
          com.something.daemon.plist
and
           com.something.helper.plist
Here something is a variable string of characters, which can be different in each case. So far it has always been a string of letters without punctuation, such as "cloud," "dot," "highway," "submarine," or "trusteddownloads." Sometimes it's a meaningless string such as "e8dec5ae7fc75c28" rather than a word. Sometimes the string is "apple," and then you must be especially careful not to delete the wrong files, because many built-in OS X files have similar names.
If you find these files, leave the LaunchDaemons folder open, and open the following folder in the same way:
/Library/LaunchAgents
In this folder, there may be a file named
          com.something.agent.plist
where the string something is the same as before.
If you feel confident that you've identified the above files, back up all data, then drag just those three files—nothing else—to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Close the Finder windows and restart the computer.
Don't delete the "LaunchAgents" or "LaunchDaemons" folder or anything else inside either one.
The malware is now permanently inactivated, as long as you never reinstall it. You can stop here if you like, or you can remove two remaining components for the sake of completeness.
Open this folder:
/Library/Application Support
If it has a subfolder named just
           something
where something is the same string you saw before, drag that subfolder to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Application Support" folder or anything else inside it.
Finally, in this folder:
/System/Library/Frameworks
there may an item named exactly
            v.framework
It's actually a folder, though it has a different icon than usual. This item always has the above name; it doesn't vary. Drag it to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Frameworks" folder or anything else inside it.
If you didn't find the files or you're not sure about the identification, post what you found.
If in doubt, or if you have no backups, change nothing at all.
The trouble may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Then, still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
          Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
          Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked.

Hello Jouko.
You can go into View > Toolbars and select the ones you want to see. If you can't see the menu bar you can simply tab ALT on your keyboard (I think F10 works too) to show it.

If you backed up your iphone to icloud, then there's a chance that doing a restore might bring back your photos. I say "chance" because many users have tried that (assuming they had photos turned in for backups in settings), but ended up not getting back any photos. If that happens, then they are gone.
Remember, you should have been syncing photos all along to a computer for archiving. Don't trust the pictures to an icloud backup.

We have several computers that receive email via Thunderbird. Two individuals received that exact same email. On one of the emails, the attachments are shown correctly (PDF file and a ZIP file). On the other computer, the attachments are also shown but any company logos (.png or .jpg) and other objects in the email (body_part_0.html or body_part_1.vcf) do not appear correctly in the body of the email but appear at the bottom of the email as attachments. I can send PDF files of these (2) different emails if it would be helpful.

Matt: Thanks for the quick reply... both computers have the identical antivirus software package. I'm thinking that there has to be something in the configuration of Thunderbird that is slightly different that is giving the different results.

How to organize Data Objects and other Objects in SWCV

Hi,
I am looking for Best Practices on how to organize data objects in SWCV as well as other objects such as a Distribution Rules.
We are planning to develop three occasionally connected applications with NW Mobile 7.1 this year and maybe additional one the following year. We will create multiple Standard Data Objects (e.g. Plant, Company Code, Reservations, ...) which are shared in the first set of transactions and in the future transactions.
I have heard before to separate out Standard Data Objects from Distribution Models and have two different SWCV.
Should I have a) one SWCV for all current and future Standard Data Objects and one for the distribution rtules or b) should I separate out common data objects into one SWCV, and all transaction-specific data object each into separate SWCV?
Just wondering if there are any best practices available for this so that I won't run into problems in the future when we want to add more transactions/data objects?
Any advise is appreciated.

Now i want to create seperate SWCV2 for defining distribution model.
How i should proceed..I cannot see the uses option while creating new SWCV2 ( Only option i see is 'backward compatibility checkbox : uses NW04/NW04s MI Application')
where to check the following which you have mentioned?
SWCV2 was created and inherited SWCV1 in uses tab of SWCV2.

Copy constructor and temporary objects in C++

I'd need some clarification on how constructor works when the argument is a temporary object. I defined a dummy MyVect class with operator+ and copy constructor:

Then I test it with this very simple code pattern:

The output is:

The first two constructor calls are for v1 and v2, then operator+ for v1+v2 is called, and inside it there is a constructor call for result object. But then no copy constructor (nor constructor) for v3 is called. In my limited understanding of C++, I guessed that once the temporary object resulting from v1+v2 has been created, then it would be the argument of the copy constructor call. Instead it looks like the compiler transforms the temporary into v3, since v3 is correctly initialized as the sum of v1 and v2 (I tried with a more complicated version of MyVect to verify this). This behavior reminds me of the move semantics introduced with C++11, but I'm not using the -std=c++11 flag (and in fact if I try to define a move constructor the compilation fails).
Can anyone please help me to understand what's happening under the hood? Thanks.

i have created two lock Objects.
I transported those objects in Q system but the table tab has no objects.
But in Dev every thing is correct.
Could you please indicate how i can get the objects correctly transported?

Easy and best approach is by getting them re transported by using transport of copy request (Type of request)
1) Get the Transport of copy request created by basis team / urself under your user.
2) Go to SE10 and highlight the request and click on include objects icon
3) Later in the pop up window select the radio button which mentions "Include free objects"
4) Then in the next screen mention the details based on the attributes of the Enque and deque object or else provide the package name and execute and in the next screen choose the concerned enque and deque objects and include them in the request.
5) Transport the Transport of copy to quality.
Also, more easiest is.
Find out the task of the request with with the enque and deque objects were created with (if more than one select all), and then include the tasks in the transport of copy and transport it to next system
If you are not able to do the above two steps then i think the object is $TMP object, kindly cross check.

Suppose i will change any object sometimes definitely that changes impact on other relating objects. Am i right? then my requirement is i have changed one object,now first of all how to find relating objects and then how to analyse impact of those changes.
Ex: Changes in infoobject that impact on other objects are Cubes, ODS, reports and rules etc.

If your upcoming changes will affect any of the compounded objects then rest assured that the concerned InfoObjects shouldn't contain any data otherwise your infoobjects will be unstable and would be throwing error after activation...
as far as the related objects are concerned then just remember the thumb rule(extended star schema):
All the objects in BW are related to each other by a key: Fact table is linked to Dim tab by Dim ID,,Dim Tables linked to SID tables by Surrogate ID(SID) and this SID points to Master data tables(Text, attr and Hier)
So going from Fact table to Master data table, if you make any changes in fact table (including or excluding Key figures) or in Dim table (including/excuding Characteristics) then you have to activate your master data so that SIDs will be generated and vice-versa

How to make references to other objects

Hello, I have a project that I need to do and I am not sure how to start it. I need to have a class that has references to four other objects. I have the class, but am unsure how to do the references. would i use extends? like the class name extends the object name? thanks in advance.

Im sure this is the simplest thing but for some reason i couldnt think what to do.
