How to copy mbx folders to iPad

IPad Air2 iOS 8.3 and MBP OS 10.8.5.  Is there a way to copy or synch the user .mbox folders on my MBP to my new iPad Air2?  I had no trouble setting up the iPad to receive mail messages from my "inbox" of my POP mail account.  However, I am unable to "add" other mbox folder that are in my user library using the software on the iPad mail app.  There does not see to be a "browse" function to select other mbox folders for importing.  Any advice other than getting a separate Bluetooth drive to carry with the iPad?
Thanx

Linc -
Thanx for further explanation.  I understand.  On my on-line pop mail account, nothing is in my sent box (especially since nothing I send from Mac Mail is ever there) and messages in my on-line in box are almost always deleted after almost always deleted after downloading to my Mac Mail client.  I THOUGHT that to have all of my private, personal .mbox folders downloaded to an iPad, I would need to keep all of those folders on-line; something I was reluctant to do, irrespective of the total size (~750 mb).
Thanx again,  I wished Apple enabled/made it easier to transfer files and folders (other than music or photo files) from a Mac computer to an iPad.

How to Copy backup to new ipad?

Do you mean this via icloud. Today i had my ipad3 exchanged under warranty (dust under the screen)(Thankyou apple for easy replacement). I had to set up ipad as new. Then check what ios version i had on this new ipad (it was 5) the icloud version from my previous ipad was 6 which was preventing my new ipad accepting the upload from the icloud. First i updated the software on new ipad to ios6 , after that had completed , i had to reset and erase settings again.  Then new ipad could see my old icloud account and downloaded it. All is back on. Happy days.

  • TS3683 how to copy photos on my ipad mini to my macbook pro

how to copy photos on my ipad mini to my macbook pro?

To copy photos to your computer that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page - on a Mac you can use Image Capture, iPhoto or Aperture.
To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

  • How to copy pictures from one iPad to another iPad?

I want to copy pictures in my new iPad3 to my iPad1 without going through my apple computer.  Is there a way to do it?  I tried to use the usb connector to sync but it can only go from my iPad 3 to iPad1 but not the other way around.  (I did try to switch the "direction" of the usb connector.)
If I have to go through my apple computer, how should I proceed?  I have created another iTune library for the new iPad3.

Use Finder on your computer to locate your iPad when attached. Dig down through the folders (which will only contain photos and videos) to locate your photos. Select them and copy them to a new folder or folders on your computer and subsequently check that folder or folders in iTunes during a sync to the other iPad.

  • How to copy files from an iPad app to your computer?

I thought I'd post this since the online help leaves out a step and this might be confusing to other users as well.
To export a file from the iPad to your computer, you need to first "Export" the file (at least in Pages you need to). To do this you:
    1. Select *My Documents* in the upper left (if you're in the file on the iPad)
    2. Select the Transfer icon at the bottom of the screen
    3. Select Export
    4. Select the *File Format* you want
    5. Go to *iTunes > Apps > File Sharing* (at the bottom of the page)
    6. Select your *App (Pages)* -- +You may need to re-select this. The first time I copied the file (even after the above) it still copied the old file (weird). Re-selecting refreshes the file list on the right. You can check the date stamp of the file as well.+
    7. *Drag and drop the file* to your desktop from iTunes (this is the step the online help describes, but it leaves out the export step above.
    I hope this helps...
+(A note to Apple: You should make file sharing easier. Maybe move the function to the tools menu in all your apps. I'd suggest this is where people expect Export, Mail, and Print functions to be...)+

  • How to copy mailbox folders?

    Hello everybody,
I have a G4 desktop and a powerbook, on both of them I have email folders for my only account.
SInce I will have to move and to leave home my G4, I would like to move all the archived messages, with their folders, to my other computer.
Could anyone please help me, telling me how to proceed?
I do trust in your help....
    Thanks,
    Ciao,

    Hi David,
thans for your suggestion, actually I did solve my problem
"manually" following Matt's suggestion, but, when/if I should have the same need again, I will try the method you wrote about that seems quicker!
    Thanks for your answer,
    Take care,
    Manfredi
    Hello Manfredi.
You can import those mailboxes as Matt suggested, but
there is no need to export them first. Mail stores
custom “On My Mac” mailboxes in
    ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/. You can just do
File > Import Mailboxes on the
destination computer, choose Mail for Mac
OS X as the data format, and follow the
instructions to import the mailboxes located on the
    other computer.
Pay attention to the instructions that Mail displays
when choosing Mail for Mac OS X as the data
format. In the next step, Mail wants you to select
the folder that contains the mailboxes to be imported
(i.e. the folder where the *.mbox folders to
be imported reside), not the *.mbox
    folders themselves.
    Note: For those not
familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers
to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library
is the Library folder within the user’s home folder,
    i.e. /Users/username/Library.

  • How to copy nested folders list?

Is there a way to copy file lists stored in multiple nested folders into other programs, e.g. MS Excel? There was such feature in Mac OS9. For instance, if you copy folder contents of multiple folders located within each other, and paste it into Excel workbook, the files in those folders were placed into indented list, with the level of indentation reflecting the nesting order of the original folders. This was a very useful feature to create records of all files you have in an archive, and for creating databases of the multiple folders content. Is there such a feature in Mac OS X? If not, what could be another solution for capturing names of all files stored within a set of nested folders?

    komich,
You can do something similar using Automator. Open up your Mac's Automator program and set up a workflow using the following actions:
    1) Ask for Finder Items -- this action from Automator's Finder Library. Select from the drop-down, Type: Files and Folders.
    2) Get Folder Contents -- also from the Finder Library. Check "Repeat for each subfolder found."
    3) New Text File -- from Automator's TextEdit Library.
Save the Workflow as an application.
When the application is run you will be presented with a Choose a Finder Item dialog. Navigate to the desired folder and press Choose. A new text file will be generated with a list of the nested files and folders, albeit, without the indentation formatting you're looking for.
Note that the workflow can also be saved either as a droplet or a Finder Plug-in. Simply eliminate the Ask for Finder Items action, so that Get Folder Contents and New Text File become steps 1 and 2 respectively. If saved as a droplet, drag and drop a folder onto the saved application icon; if saved as a Finder Plug-in, right-click, or Control-click, on a folder and select your workflow from the Automator contextual menu.
    Good luck!

  • How to download picture folders with DropBox.

I can use Drop Box to upload pictures from my PD to DB. However it is supposed to also download to the IPAD DB app and it is doing that. However we are supposed to be able to save pics in the DB app on the IPAD to the IPAD photos section.
Haven't figured that out yet. I can mark it as a favorite but only the ind pix. Why not whole folders?
