How to copy production client to development client

Hello All,
I have developed one report inwhich I call screen(module pool).My report name is zco11 as well as screen name is zco11.It is working fine and I transported it into production client(900).Now I rename the
report name as well as my screen name in my development client(300).So now my screen zco11 and screen zco11 is not there in my development client(300).Now I want to copy my zco11 report as well as my screen zco11 from production client(900) to development client(300).is it possiable? if yes then how?
please help.

you cant do it yourself.just need to contact your basis team for setting up transports from production Developement.
you can try System copy as well.

How to copy system table from one client to another client

Hi,
Currently i am implementing recruitment module in one of the power sector company. I have finished all the configuration in one of the client in development server. I have trasported all the request in Qulaity server so that i can do the testing. When i am running TCode : PBA7 (Direct Data Transfer) i am getting a runtime error with error analysis -
A SELECT, UPDATE, or DELETE statement contains the invalid table
name "PB0021".
I have checked this system table in this client (Quality Server) but this table is not available, but at the same time this table is available in Devepment server client where i can run this transaction.
Requiring your help on this to resolve this issue. Do i need to copy this system table PB0021 from Development server client to Quality server client? If so then how to do this activity?

Goto SE01.
Create a workbench request manually.
Add the following entry.
R3TR TABL PB0021.
Transport the request to quality system.

How to copy tax procedure TAXINJ from Client 000 to Dev client in ECC 6.0

We are facing a problem for TAXINJ and TAXINN procedure, which are not available in our development client, but available in client 000.
Please advice how to copy those procedures from client 000 to development client.
(In client 000, we can not create a trabnsport request).

Hello ravi,
first check whether there request being generated at the time og customization in the server where the standard procedures exist.
if yes,then you just need to change a little bit of description of these procedures and save system will ask for the development request or customization request.,you can then ask the basis guy to transport it.
remember it is only a work around solution.
nevertheless you can also create it manually

How to copy a role from one client to another in a system using the CUA?

Dear all,
I have a question about transporting roles. We have CUA configured on our SAP system. Our development environment contains several clients. Recently I created a role by using PFCG in the development environment named E1D-100. Later there was a need to affect a user by this role but on another client of the development environment named E1D-200.
How can I transport a role from a client of the development environment to another client of the same environment.
While I use SU01 to assign the role, after clicking on "user comparing", I can see that the new created role exists on E1D-100 (the client of the development environment where the role was created), but I see that the role doesn't exist on the other client E1D-200.
How should I proceed?

How to restrict Production context in Development

Hi,
My question is how can anybody restrict or do away with the Production context while working in Development. Whenever we execute a scenario or interface we are faced with the option of executing in Dev or Production. I want to see that the user has only option to execute in Dev and not in production while working on development work repository. any ideas?

Its little complex as Oracle doesnt have good document/information regarding Security, thats why i suggested you the other way.
Anyways, here you go.
Step 1 :
Duplicate CONNECT profile, ex: NG CONNECT and delete objects SCHEMA/CONTEXT and AGENT/CONTEXT from it. Expand object CONTEXT, except VIEW instance delete all.
Open View instance and UN CHECK Generic Privilege.

Step 2:
Create a user, ex: USER1 without SUPERVISOR privilege.

Step 3:
Assign (drag and drop) DESIGNER, NG CONNECT profiles to it.
Step 4:
From Topology Manager -> Context, drag and drop Development related context to USER1 ex: DEV and Global.
Step 5:
Once u drag and drop u can see a screen in Security manager like this,

Select Active as checked.
Thats all.
Now USER1 can able to select/see only DEV and GLOBAL in Designer and Operator.
P.S: USER1 can able to see PROD context in Topology Manager, but he doesnt able to open it. Its just a view.

How to copy production environment

Hi,
Forgive me as I am new to peoplesoft, and am but a lowly DBA.
I am trying to determine the best method to keep a relatively recent copy of production continuously available for both production support/development as well as reporting needs.
Since it will bneed it's own app/web front end, I can't simply use a standby db. So far we have been copying the db on opccasion and then reconfiguring the app/web to work with it, but this takes considerable time and does not have a real time lag to production.
Does anyone have a practical recomendation?

What the expected lag between prod and reporting application ?
I already maintained standby database for reporting purpose with one day lag. Every night, the reporting database (the standby db) applied the archive files geenerated during the day by the production database. And during the working hours, the database was open in read-only mode. On 10gR2, you can open in reversible read/write mode (it's not the case on older db).

How to Copy Production/Live Environment Data into Staging Environment?

I have been given the task to go into the Production/Live Environment within SharePoint and copy the data and place it into the staging environment. I have been told the Staging data is older.
I have no idea how to do this. The Staging Environment uses different site collection URLs. I only want to copy the data so links and everything wont take me to the production site.

If you just copy a site collection from Production environment to Staging environment, you can backup the site collection in Production then restore in Staging.
Back up a site collection:

If the web application only has this site collection or you want to copy the web application, you can deattach the database of the web application in Production then attach it in Staging.

Best Practice of copying Production to Development

Hi everyone. My management would like some documentation on the Best Practice of copying Production systems to Development.
1. In the past, we've setup the clients and connections/interfaces and shrink the database by deleting unneeded production data. Now that there is note 130906, saving the ABAP versions may be easier.
2. Every two or three years we copy our BIW Production to Development. This is also labor intensive to set up the development system again with source systems.
3. We've copied our PI 70 system to a sandbox, and again this is labor intensive to reset the PI object names, since the system names are imbedded in the object names.
4. I've done java systems to, so I'm not to concerned about these.
5. There is talk of copying the following Production systems to Development systems - SLD, PI 7.1, Solution Manager, SAP R/3, BIW, MII...some of these make sense, others we question if it is worth it.
As a note, we copy our SAP R/3 Production instance to our QA environment about twice a year and to another QA system monthly. We also copy our CRM Production to our QA environment twice a year and BIW Production to QA environment once a year. We can leverage what we know about copying to PRD to QA, but we want to give them alternatives about copying PRD to DEV.
We'd like to use SAP's TDMS to move data from PRD to DEV. But unfortunately, that project has not gotten management attention as being a high priority (yet).
Rather than take my word for it, is there any SAP provided documentation that would give my management a set of alternatives on their desire to copy our Production systems to Development.

From a E2E200 perspective SAP recommends the following landscape:
Maint = Dev -> QA -> Pre-Prod -> Prod
N+1 = Dev2 -> QA2 -> Pre-Prod -> Prod
Maint is all object versions to remain ideally the same versions, and only transports to fix a short dumping Prod system. N+1 is where you have implementation/upgrade projects worked on and allow you import the entire project of transports.
Another consideration, when you restore a Prod system to a Dev or new Dev system; you are destroying all of your version info which means your developers can't view or revert changes for the objects.

Data Purge PD Data in Sandbox Development Client

I am trying to establish a Sandbox/Demo Client in our development environment for the exclusive use of HR Development practitioners.
I want it to be a copy of the current Development Client other than for data i.e. something like a blank canvas. However my BASIS team struggle to deliver. They can elimnate data from the PA structure as part of the copy process but they have not yet found a way to eliminate data from the PD structure. I find myself having to tediously breakdown every relationship within an org. unit before I can delete lowest denominators within the PD Structure.
I wonder if you have ever encountered this problem? Perhaps you know someone who has? How did you or someone you know overcome it?

Hi Jyothi,
You can follow above instructions and informed your company's BASIS TEAM.
No need to worry about it but be very sure beofre deleting any data.
Also, always take backup of data before deleting anything from SAP.
1 more option : You can copy the data from quality system and upload it.

Copy Product configuration values

Hi All,
In CIC we have option as "copy 2 complaints" button which is used to copy line item.
Here when i copy item from standard order to complaints, everthing gets copying except, product configuration view data. i have added configuration part using "get related entity" method but no luck.
is there any BADI ?
Can you please suggest how to copy product configuration data.

How to copy changes to Productive client? URGENT!

SAP has a note related to the payroll module which we had to apply to Client 000. We were able to use SCC1 to copy from Client 000 to Client 200 in our QA environment.
However in Production we are unable to use the same method due to our SCC4 settings.
SAP revert that we cannot use SCC1 in Production and that we should identify the changes and tie to table changes to a transport request and transport to Production.
Can anybody please advise what is the best way to copy the changes to Productive client?

How to copy a page(in my case webpart page) with its content(it may contain webparts) using client code (i mean using SPservices or ECMA script).
What i am planning is ,to give end user a page where it will contain text box to specify name of page and a button with the help of content editor webpart.
where on click of button we need to write client side code such that it should create a new page from a existing page in a library with given name by user.
Any suggestion would be helpful. For your information we can do it through UI with the help Site Actions / Manage Content and Structure.But i want to automate it using client side code.Server side code is restricted.
or can we create a template of an existing page with content without the help of sharepoint designer.

My problem is SAP std Partner procedures (e.g. OTR) is not available in our freshly installed IS Oil Client. I found out SAP note no. "100151 - TD Partner procedures in IS-Oil bulk shipment" which is identical to my problem. However the said note does not contain how to copy Partner Procedure-OTR from Downstream Template to all other clients.
