How to copy the help file of LiveCycle.

Hello All ,
I am using LiveCycle ES - 2 . When ever I want to see the help file I have to open the LiveCycle and then click on the help . But problem is I just only want to view the help content , so if I close the LiveCycle then the help file also closes. I want to know is it possible to copy the whole help content into a separate file or folder so that I can see it without opening the LiveCycle.
Thanks.

Hi,
You can access the help file here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/designerHelp/index.htm
Previous versions allowed downloading the help file in PDF, but I can't seem to see that option here.

  • K1- How to copy the *.pdf file to K1 , and what dir to copy to ???

    I did not install SD card into my K1 .
    When I connected K1 to my PC (window XP) I saw the directories:
    - Alarms.
    - capture.
    I had some book in *.pdf file format. I like to copy those pdf file to K1 so I can read under Adobe reader. What DIRECTORY I should copy to ?????
    Best Regards.

    You can put the PDF files anywhere you want, as long as you remember where you put them. Just as you'd do on a desktop operating system, like Windows or OS X, open a file manager app on your K1, and use the file manager app to navigate to your PDF file. Tap on the PDF file and Android will ask you which program (like Adobe Reader) you want to use to open it. For file managers, I like this one: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.rhmsoft.fm.hd It's ad-supported though, so there'll be a little advertisement in the corner. Or use the file manager app that is preinstalled on the K1.

  • How to update the Help Files

    Hi Team,
    I am in the process of creating a customized help file.
    In the All Projects Tab,under Help Menu can I go and replace the existing pdf downloads with the customized help files?.If yes ,then kindly let me know  the steps.
    Regards,
    Avinash

    You do this in the BP Setup of the BP in question.  So, if this BP lives in the All Projects shell, you could navigate to that shell and switch to Admin mode.  if it is in a Project under that shell, you can navigate to that project and switch to Admin mode.  Then, go to Setup > Business Process.  Open the desired BP and open the general BP setup. You should see a Help File field in the General tab. Remove the existing file and add a new file, as desired.
    This will add the file for that particular shell instance only, so if you want this to be the new help file for all instances of that shell, you can follow the procedure above for a shell template of that type, then update the shells.

  • How to copy the ASM files on host filesystem.

    Hello All,
    There is a question come up in my mind that can we perform the copy/delete/move of ASM files to the host filesystem while the ASM instance is down.
    For instance... To copy the file ASM file through AMCMD utility when the ASM instance is running.
    ASMCMD> cp spfilenode.ora /u01
    copying +DATA/NODE/spfilenode.ora -> /u01/spfilenode.ora
    Now my question is, Can I copy/delete/move that file on OS filesystems when the ASM instance is down.
    regards,
    rohit

    Hi,
    1- Copy from ASM to FileSystem using cp command.
    2- Copy from ASM to FileSystem using DBMS_FILE_TRANSFER.
    1) In the first method, when I copy one file, I took more than 1 minute, so the following script would take me more than 1 days (I guess so).
    #!/bin/ksh
    # This script copies files from FRA on ASM to local disk
    ORACLE_SID=+ASM2
    ASMLS=/vasgatedb/app/vsgbkp/asm_ls.txt ##{ASM files list}
    BKP=+data/vsgdb/vsgbkp/`date +%Y_%m_%d` ##{source location of files}
    LOCALBACKUPDIR=/vasgatedb/app/vsgbkp  ##{destination filesystem}
    LOG=/vasgatedb/app/vsgbkp/asm_log.txt ##{log file}
    # Get the list of files
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/asmcmd > $ASMLS <<EOF
    ls $BKP
    exit
    EOF
    # Clean the list by removing "ASMCMD>"
    sed -i 's/ASMCMD> //g' $ASMLS
    ##cat $ASMLS
    echo `date` > $LOG
    # Copy files one by one
    for FILENAME in `cat $ASMLS`
    do
    if [[ ! -f $LOCALBACKUPDIR/${FILENAME} ]]
    then
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/asmcmd >> $LOG <<EOF
    cp $BKP/$FILENAME $LOCALBACKUPDIR
    EOF
    fi
    done
    echo `date` >> $LOG
    2) The second method, DBMS_FILE_TRANSFER took me less than 1 second to copy one file completely.
    sys@VSGDB> set timing on
    sys@VSGDB> exec dbms_file_transfer.COPY_FILE('asm_dir','level_0_vsgdb_9998_813844797.bkp','fs_dir','level_0_vsgdb_9998_813844797.bkp');
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

  • How to copy the confuguration files in admin to user in terminal.

    Hi, i need to copy configuration files from Admin to user, I am not sure how to do.
    Please help me out on this.
    Thanks,
    Muniraju H

    Specifically, which configuration files and what are you trying to accomplish? What is the lcoation/path? Do you mean /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration? By "copy" do you mean make a copy or change the Ownership to your user, while leaving them where they are? (I have no idea why you would want to do this, since it may create Permissions problems for these files.)
    If you only want to copy them, while at the same time making your user the owner, you only need to Option-click on them using the Finder and drag them to your Desktop or somewhere in your user. This will automatically copy them to that new location with your user as owner. You don't need Terminal for this.

  • Can't Find the Help Files

    I installed the downloaded CS4 components and have yet to figure out how to get the help files installed.
    At present every time I click on any of the installed components' help file button all I get is the web site with useless information.
    Has anyone been able to find it?
    Cheers,
    Michael

    You don't need to know
    all the terms. It is usually best to start with fewer keywords and only add more keywords if there are too many results.
    A search on the keyword "yellow" answers you question in the first hit.

    Look above at my original post:
    Downgrade Mavericks to Snow Leopard
      1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer
          loads select your language and click on the Continue
          button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the
          Utilities menu.
      2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the
          mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status
          of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then
          the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART
          info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on
          the Partition tab in the DU main window.
      3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions
          from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS
          Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the
          partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on
          the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
      4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
    This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner.
    If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups made while on Snow Leopard, then you may do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.  If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion/Mountain Lion files.

    Name: Dark Knight, The.jpeg       Comment: (2008) Genre: Action...             <- copy comment

    Edit "PicDir" and "MovDir" to the location of your Folders

    Don't you just love changes in interfaces?
    I found the answer to my question.
    When you attach a device (iPhone, iPad) to your Mac, in iTunes 12 in appears as a tiny icon in the second "row" of the iTunes display. Click the icon and the familiar iTunes display for the device appears. From there, on the Summary screen, you can see the dates of the backups of the device (iCloud and backup to the computer). You can also use the button to backup to the computer.

  • HT2548 how do i copy the domain file from OS 10.4 to a lion OS computer?  I made a copy of the domain file and copied it to my new computer, but it doesn't open in iweb when I double-click on it.

    How do I import an iweb domain file from an ibook (OS 10.4) to an imac (OS 10.73)?
    I copied the domain file from my ibook to my imac, but when I double-click on the file, it doesn't open in iweb.

    In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.  Then place the domain file in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder.
    To open your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
    do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
    tell application "iWeb" to activate
    You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
    Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
    WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder.  So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

    My suggestion to use the smart playlist was more along the lines of making one list with rules to show everything in your library as long as it was kind "mpeg" (= mp3).
    Smart playlists cannot be edited manually, only by changing the rules.  You can use them as the basis for another smart playlist though.
    There is added overhead to using smart playlists, so don't go overboard.

  • HT1364 help I just completed this task to free up my hard disc and be able to upgrade my iTunes but when I re-opened iTunes it is a blank new account! When I copied the iTunes file to the recycle bin it made me effectively empty as I copied over as it was

    Hey can someone help???
    I just completed this task (support.apple.com/kb/HT1364) moving my music to an external HD to free up my PC hard disc and all went well until I re-opened iTunes and it is a blank new account!
    I also don't can't access anything from the recycle bin as when I copied the iTunes file to the recycle bin it said it was too large to copy over so made me effectively empty as I copied over as it was so big.
    Any help gratefully recieved or where I can get some, I am going round in circles. I also don't know which itunes operating system I have, it is around 3 years old.

    hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music'  then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo
