At the end of install of CS5 I got following error

    Can anyone tell me how to correct error code 108 in power point?
    It appears that a PP presentation has completely disappeared, giving only the error that the file has been deleted or moved (which it hadn't). Is there a way to retrieve it.
    It is visible in 'All my Files' but when clicked says that PP cannot be opened

    Hello. When I was installing CS5 Master Collection, the power supply suddenly stopped. So when I re-install again after power supply back, then it had error showed "Your installation encountered errors. Please try restarting your  system and installing again". Then I have un-installed everything about CS5 and rebooted. Then installed again. but still failed. How can I solve it? Thanks...

    When you say that you've un-installed everything related to CS5 . . . did that include the registry?  I suspect not.  You will probably need to contact Adobe support.

    hi dear all in recent times i am trying to install oracle developer suite 10g to learn forms and reports in my lap having windows 7 ultimate version ,32 bit,2.56 GB of ram .I downloaded two files ds_windows_x86_101202_disk1 and ds_window_x86_101202_disk2 and i downloaded Oracle universal Installer but i am unable to complete installation process ,When i click on complete(1.11gb) version which include forms,reports,xml,j developer I am facing this type of error message
    "Install has encountered an error while attempting to verify your virtual settings.please verify that the sum of the initial sizes of the paging files is at least 256 mb"
    Could any one help how to avoid this type of error message ? or else is there any other way to download Oracle forms and reports version

    Ok, Oracle Developer Suite (ODS) 10g (Forms/Reports) was not designed for Windows 7. In order to the ODS you must follow these steps for the installation to be successful.
    1. You must set the Virtual Memory (VM) size. The Oracle installer can not read Windows Managed VM. See the Microsoft article Change the size of virtual memory for more information on setting the VM size.
    2. The Oracle Installer does not recognize the internal version number of Windows 7, so you have to set the compatibility mode on the Setup.exe to Windows XP. Right-Click the SETUP.EXE and select properties. Then click the Compatibility Tab and in the Compatibility Mode area set this to "Run this program in compatibility mode" and select "Windows XP SP3".
    3. You must run the ODS setup.exe as the Administrator. Right-click the setup.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
    Having done these three steps, your installation should be successful.

    but I do not succeed in installing Acrobat X Pro: I have tried 2 times and always at the end reported this message:

    I thank you very much but in the meantime I have found a workaround to solve the problem:
    Instead of starting from
    DVD CS5_5 Design Std 1 / Adobe CS5_5 Design Standard / Install.app
    i tried from
    DVD CS5_5 Design Std 1 / Adobe CS5_5 Design Standard / payloads / AcrobatProfessional10.0-ISDP, where I launched Adobe Acrobat X Pro Installer.pkg and it worked successfully.
    Anyway, thank you again indeed

  • How to troubleshoot "Exit Code: 6" error when installing CS5 (Mac)

    So hey. It's been a long, long couple of days trying to figure out this error, and even longer (and more frustrating) trying to actually find someone from Adobe who can actually give me customer support. You think they'd have a bit more streamlined approach when taking care of their customers, but I guess that's why I am here, so lets find out
    Basically, I'm trying to re-install my CS5 mAster Collection I got a few years back onto my MacBook Pro. I got it about 3-4 years ago from my college as a "teachers an student licensing," and it worked great.Amazing. Hallelujah.
    Now fast forward to about 4 months ago; my Mac's Logic Board crashes. I spend a lot of time and money recovering data via a 3rd party data company, and FINALLY get my mac fixed with all files intact.
    Problem is, all of my CS5 programs are gone, although i still have all the files I created with them. So I go to reinstall my Cs5; I still have all the disks (in mint condition) and my serial-code. I insert Application Disc 1 and enter my serial code, the installation gets to the point where it asks for Application Disc 2. I insert disc 2, and after awhile my Mac spits the Disc out and the Adobe Installation Manager says the installation was complete, but with errors, and only 2 of all the CVS5 programs were installed. When I checked the error log on the installation manager, it stated "Exit Code: 6"
    I have looked up this code many time, but i just can't understand how to trouble shoot it. I'm not a programmer or a computer wiz, so some of the multiple multi-step process Adobe suggests for troubleshooting are beyond my ability or understanding. ALL I NEED IS SOME HELP; clarifying steps to trouble shoot this, understanding error code:6, advice on how to fix it, even a way for me to get in contact with and ACUTAL person from Adobe Customer Serivice.
    Please, I am a Graphic Arts Major in college, and I can't afford to have this continue to be an issue. HELP ME.

    Did you remove the bits of the failed install before going on? Try creating a new admin account for the install. If that doesn't work, try doing a fresh download from Adobe's site. Even if you bought the boxed version you can install the trial and enter your serial number.

    Hi. I am trying to install Photoshop CS6 trial on my machine (win 8 x64) but all the time it returns the error:

    ERROR: Media DB Error : 6
    I have already used all the steps described on the forum (restarting the PC, downloading again the app, using Adobe Clean Tool) and no success. I even tried to install Photoshop CS5.1, but it goes with the very same error.
    I currently have Fireworks CS6 installed, which I managed to install several months ago without a problem. However, when I try to uninstall it, it shows me also an error message:
    UNINSTALL FAILED
    Your uninstallation encountered errors.
    Troubleshooting tips:
    1. Restart your computer.
    2. Exit all applications [...]
    3. Uninstall again.
    You may also download & run the Cleaner Tool. If the problems persist, please contact Customer Support for further assistance.

    After using the Adobe Clean tool, I checked its output log and it mentioned it couldn't find a "caps.db" in the Common Files/Adobe/caps/ folder under Program Files or Program Files (x86).
    So what I did: I manually deleted the Adobe folders from:
    - Program Files
    - Program Files (x86)
    - Program Files (x86)/Common Files
    After that, I was able to install successfully Photoshop CS5.1 and at this very moment I'm able to install PS CS6 (it's been already 50% of the installing progress).
    So far, this action of deleting the Adobe folders from my Program Files folders seems to be sorting out the matter...

    1. When I put the disk on the disk reader it gives me a message " machine is in a process of a restart" I ignored that and proceded to the installation with the istallation being sucsessful.
    2. When I go to the shortcut to begin using the program it prompts me with the license agreement, I proceed to accept and it copmes back up after a few seconds or so.
    Anyone has had this issue too and knows how to help?

    You need to provide much more info. You're not telling us anything meaningful here. Regardless of that, you did it all wrong to begin with and it's busted up one way or the other. if there was a pending restart, it means that you doid not correctly install with administrative privileges and that a previous installation of whatever tool or program never finished. so more or less, you will have to start over from scratch...

  • Acrobat Error after installing CS5 Design Premium

    OK, I'm going to try and explain exactly what I am doing and when I'm getting this error so please bear with me.
    I am trying to set up a test computer for testing CS5 in our production flow. After reading some of the posts here and other places I felt it best to start with a clean system on my test machine.
    I have a Intel Dual-Core 2.66GHz machine with 2GB Ram and system OS 10.5.8 (Don't have access to Snow Leopard at the time) OS was loaded clean, nothing on the machine prior to loading the system.
    We are a large company and we are on a maintenance program for our Adobe Software so all I received as a installer for CS5 was a .dmg file called DesignPreium_CS5_LS1.dmg. I'm assuming that this installer is just an upgrade installer from CS4 to CS5 because it did not install Acrobat 9 Pro after running the installer. This is where my problem starts.
    I had already read that there was not an upgrade for Acrobat and to just use the one that came with CS4 so that is what I am trying to do. I got out my CS4 Design Premium disks and installed just Acrobat 9 Pro.
    The problem I'm having though is that when I try and launch Acrobat it gives me the error that says "Suite Product Activation Needed" (Please see image below. So that's what I tried, I launched InDesign CS5 and then Acrobat 9 Pro but I got the same error.
    Is there any way to get Acrobat 9 Pro running on this machine without first installing other components of CS4 that were on the installer disk with Acrobat 9 Pro? Doing this would make it very difficult to ever install a clean copy of CS5 in my opinion. When I start with a fresh machine I want to start with a fresh machine, not install components just to uninstall them later so that certain parts will work.
    If I haven't made it clear what I'm trying to do ask and I'll try and fill in the blanks.
    Any thoughts? Hopefully you see this Dov and can add some insight on the options I have.

    I know from another site that you solved this problem with using a CS3.3 disc that you had. Exactly the same thing is happening to me. Only difference is I just wanted to free up some space and have been using the CS5 for a few weeks now so uninstalled the CS4 as it seemed odd to keep it on when it's not necessary. But now this. I have gone back to the download page and tried to reinstall but nothing. I'm guessing I will have to dig out my cS4 discs but just thought I'd see if there was a more logical alternative?

    I got an error in the end of the instalattion of Flash CS5 yesterday, but it seems to work fine when I open Flash CS5. Is there some kind of "repair" I can run to be sure, or do I have to delete the whole thing and instal it again?

    Hi, I don't recall an exact message. It just told me that it wasn't installed corectly and that I should try to restart my computer, it didn't tell me what the problem was.
    But it seems to work, I just need the program for something very important on monday, so I just wanted to know if there was an easy way to find out what the problem was / if there was any. I mean rather find out now than monday right
