How to correct the derived depreciation area balances (Group Assets)

Hi SAP Gurus....
Due to some wrong configurations for one derived depreciation area (Group Assets) values have not updated in that derived depreciation area and related group assets. Now how to update the same APC values in derived depreciation area and Group Assets from already posted APC values in real depreciation areas.
Thanks in advance.

  • HT201320 how to correct the mistakes that are on new IPhone that ATT downloaded

    Just had a new phone replace broken one, ATT downloaded my info [ some of it] now I do not know my phone anymore because so much has changed. Is it a new format or did ATT screw up?
    1. Now each email continues a thread indicating the number of email I have for that contact , plust the actual email is attached , which I do not need, Can this tread be removed?
    2. ATT downloaed my contacts which I had added in a specific manner, such as every Sue was entered by last name,  Now, every contact is noted by last name AND  first name in the alphabet, it is so annoying
    Can this be corrected?
    3. ATT downloaded my pictures in a very strange format, each is 1/3 the original size and is loaded sideways, horizontal rotation will not make the photo correct .
    4. ATT did not download any of my APPS, some of which I had paid for,
    How to get this corrected, as now w/ the new phone, each APP says money is required again
    5. where do I go to have the email have at least 5 lines on screen?
    Thanks for any assistance

    Thanks Srinath.
    I found the document that you recommended in the post. I will try that now!
    Just in case, If wanted to rollback to the original how do I do that ? Since this is my first OAF extension I guess , it wont be perfect the first pass! So, Is there a way to rollback the changes and put back the original VO?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks,

  • Derived depreciation area

    Hello Gurus,
    I am trying to create derived depreciation area with t-code OADB.
    This t-code is disabled and not allowing me to define the derived areas. Is this the right t-code to define Derived areas? or Is there any other way?
    Please help me. Your time will be greately appreciated..
    Thank you..
    Regards
    Geeta

    Hello
    Postings to derived area is simultaneous.
    check this
    The "Derived Depreciation Areas" component makes it possible to determine new asset values based on asset values that have already been determined. The derived depreciation area uses mathematical formulas to determine values based on values in ‘real’ areas, such as the difference between depreciation in two depreciation areas. The system then manages these new values in the derived depreciation area.
    You define the formula for the derived depreciation area in FI-AA Customizing (Define depreciation areas). In the formula for a derived area, you can use up to four real areas. The arithmetic operations allowed are addition and subtraction. It is possible to mix the calculation rules. This includes using proportional values from real areas in the calculation.
    When defining the formula, it is up to you to make sure it is reasonable. Make sure that the key of the derived area is larger than the keys of the real areas it is based on. A derived area "03" can be derived from the real areas "01" and "02" but not from areas "04" and "05."
    You can also specify that the derived depreciation area is only for reporting. The system then does not subject the area to value checks (such as the check for positive/negative net book value).
    When defining a derived depreciation area, keep in mind that the rules for remaining book value rule in the derived depreciation area can affect the depreciation in the real areas from which it is derived (see Characteristics of a Depreciation Area). Enter a modification area in order to specify which of the real areas this should be.
    Be careful when using derived depreciation areas for group assets. In the formula for derived depreciation areas that are for group assets, you can only use depreciation areas that are also intended for group assets (see Group Assets).

  • LSMW derived depreciation area

    Is there a setting to populate automatically the values for the derived depreciation area and not including the values in the load.
    I know identical dependant values need not be loaded. Just trying to know if the same is possible for derived depreciation areas by customizing.
    Is anyone aware of the customizing for getting the fabove functionality.

    The system is already setup and there are assets existing. I am planning to do a load for a few assets using LSMW and the standard prog limits to 8 depreciaotion areas and we have 12 depreciation areas to be loaded.
    I can eliminate the identical ones and I am looking at options to eliminate the derived ones.

  • Add depreciation area to old assets (revaluation area)

    Hi guys,
    I've created a new depreciation area for setting revaluation of assets. This new dep area only contains revaluation of assets (we'll only have revaluation and depreciation of this revaluation in this new area), so I've configured it to manage only revaluation values. Acquisition values are not allowed.
    In OABC i've put "00" in the area where this new area takes values from, due to i don't want thhis new area to copy acquisitions values from area 01.
    I've made the rest of the configuration also, to support revaluation transactions (mov 800) in this new area. But, I've got 2 problems now:
    1. The new area i configured is missing when creating a new asset in AS01. However, when using AS91 the new area shows up. Any idea of why this happens that way?
    2. I cannot add the new area in old assets. When using AFBN a message appears: "Depreciation area 20, which you want to create as a new depreciation area in chart of depreciation PVPE, has no depreciation area defined for value takeover. This may be be correct for normal operation, however for the purposes of creating a new depreciation in the productive system, you have to enter a depreciation area whose values are used as base values for the new area."
    Message makes sense, because my new area is not copying values from any area (in tcode OABC i defined 00 as dep area source). The question is.. is there any additional tcode where i can add the new depreciation area to old assets?
    Thanks in advance.
    Eduardo

    Hi,

  • How to correct the birth date in Apple account? How to change the numerals to English for UAE location?

    I purchased iPhone 5S and opened new Apple account with preffered language English and location UAE. I was directed to enter my birth date with only Arabic language option. I was finally able to get the installer build to work, even though it takes about ten minutes!!  The network and CPU activity is minimal, so I don't know what LV is waiting on during all this time?
    For this installation it appears to be related to the directory structure created by the Volume License Manager 2.1 software.  There are two sets of users at my company, LabVIEW Professional and Developer Suite, which have different license numbers and installers.  The errors were related to source files located in the Products folder of the network distribution.  My installation expected the Products folder to be in a different location that it was actually placed by the VLM software.  I copied the entire Products folder from _SourceFiles up to the LabVIEW 8.5.1 folder and now it works, although very slowly.
    LabVIEW 8.5.1
    -->_SourceFiles
        -->Bin
        -->Device Drivers
        -->Licenses
        -->Products   (original location)
        -->Signal Express
    -->Dev Suite
    -->LV Pro
    -->Products    (manual copy)
    I hope this information may be of use to NI or other users.

  • Can a derived depreciation area be a real area for depreciation postings?

    Example :
    Book area 1 (real)        : $100,000
    Area 2 (not real)          : $120,000
    Derived area                : Area 2 minus Area 1 = $20,000 (depreciation calculation based on this)
    Is above possible?

    Hi,
    the F1 Help of the field "real depreciation area" says:
    Set this indicator if you want the system to store the values of this depreciation area in the database (meaning that the area is not a derived depreciation area). The values in this area are then updated each time a posting is made, and can be immediately evaluated.

    Hi,
    You should use the local rules for depreciation area 01 = local book and
    set up your group rules in another depreciation area such as 30 where you can use different GAAP.

  • How to identify the SQLs which are using the tables and new columns

    Hi
    I m using oracle 10G Database in windows. Developers have added some columns in some of the database tables and were asking to check whether there is some impact on performance or not. I have not done this performance tuning before. Kindly help me how to proceed further.
    How to obtain the sqls which are touching the tables and the new columns? It would be really great if you can help me with this.
    Thanks

    You can try to use DBA_DEPENDENCIES to get PL/SQL objects using tables: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/statviews_1041.htm#i1576452.
    However if SQL code is not stored in database in a trigger, a procedure, a function, a package or a view, it is impossible to retrieve all SQL code referencing some table from database dictionary: for this you would have to analyze application source code.
