How to create a cover

I've synchronised some cd's to my Ipod classic,
how can I add the cover of the cd to my Ipod?
Now when I listen to the cd, a blank cover is shown.....

When you connect the iPod the summary screen should automatically open.
If you click on the 'music' tab, you will see the options to:
"display album artwork on your iPod". Make sure that is enabled first of all.
There are various methods of adding artwork to your songs and albums.
If you have an iTunes store account, you can use the "get album artwork" option in iTunes. You don't actually need to purchase anything from the iTunes store, just to have or create an account. Provided that the album or song for which you are looking to add artwork is available for sale in the store, iTunes will find it and add it to your library.
If you go to preferences/general in iTunes and check the box marked "automatically download missing album artwork", it will automatically add the artwork when you import a CD into iTunes.
You must have the album or song tagged in your iTunes library correctly or it may not be found. For instance, even a missing "The" before the artists name can throw up anomalies. iTunes will check each song in your iTunes library and attempt to match it up with a song in the iTunes Store. If the data matches, iTunes will download the album artwork from the iTunes Store and add it to the song in your iTunes library.
If you don't have an account or don't want to create one, here are a couple of other methods.
Highlight a song or album in iTunes, then right click on it and select the "get album artwork" option.  Go to Google Image Search and type in the artist/album name and click on search images.   Double click on a picture you like, then at the top of that page click on "see full size image".   When you get that image, simply copy/paste it into the space for album artwork in iTunes.   Make sure you select the album in the browser of iTunes before you copy/paste.  
In the unlikely event that Google can’t find an image, you can also get artwork from Amazon.

I have a such difficult problem on pages : I would like to create multiple cover pages, and I want these pages to follow the text. I will to explain this a little better.
I have to write a really long report. I need to divide it in some "sections" (I'm not sure that's the same meaning that in the software) and each section would start by a kind of cover page with a fullpage photo and a title in textbox. Let's see it with a capture :
My problem is that I would like this page to follow the text. Because on the previous page, I have a table of contents which is evolving and taking more and pages each time. And the problem is that my "cover page" isnot moving to stay after the table of contents, it's the table which is continuing after it. So I have a first part before the cover page and a second part after the cover page. I would like all the text to stay before.

Use anchored images at the beginning of each section.
You will need to initially make it smaller so you can position the image and the TextBox (make this second so it is higher in the stack) set a page break, then enlarge the image and Textbox to suit.
If they are anchored (Move with Text) they will maintain ther position in the document.
Turn off Text wrap on both your image and the Title. Insert a Page Break after the Title Textbox anchor on the page to move the following text to the next page of the section.

How to create a cover for a 'perfect' binded magazine?

I am nearing the end of designing a 64pp 165 x120mm puzzle pocket magazine but I will need the cover to be perfect bound rather than saddle stitch.
Currently I just have 64 pages set up at 165 x 120mm each including the front and back cover, but have a 250 x 171 mm 300dpi Photoshop cover which includes the front/back/spine in one image (and the bleed).
How can I put this in InDesign to then send to the printers?
Hopefully that makes sense.

Let me add that I agree with Eugene that it probably makes more sense to do the actual cover layout in ID, placing the image(s) from Photoshop, but doing any positioning and cropping, and certainly type, in ID. My point was that if you've already done the whole thing in Photoshop, there isn't much reason to bring that into ID and export a PDF again.

I have just finished one and changed the cover photo the same way I did on any page. Bring up the page, right click on it and then click on Remove Photo. Then just drag the photo you want into the empty space. You have to have the phot sidebar up on the right side to do this. Hope this helps

I had a couple of images that show the sort of thing I want to do but I don't see an attach faciity here. I've written a lot of eBooks and I'd like to sell them but I think I'll do better if the cover looks good.
I do have something that does what I call a pretend cover as can be seen on one of my sites http://healthy-living-store.com at the bottom of the page but it's not a professional finish.

How to Create a shaded arch

Hello again;
I'm sure that this is probably old hat to you guys, but I have no idea how to create the arch part of the dials, at least I think it would be an arch. With the top photo, the "arch" has 2 colors so I would need to have 2 layers, one holding one color and one holding the other color, but as I said I have no idea how to make them and I had no success with the "arc" tool.
In the second photo, it's very difficult to tell, but the left side of the arch is green and the right is a pale yellow so again, I think I would need two archs. The second photo also these tick marks that are at the top of the arch and again, I have no idea how to recreate them.
I'm hoping someone that knows how to make these wouldn't mind putting together a step by step tutorial for me since I'm still a novice with Illustrator. Thanks!!!

As a fresh approach (which are at least in part represented in the earlier posts by different contributors) would be to (Smart Guides are your friends):
1) Create a circle, concentric with the dial, with a Stroke weight corresponding to the desired width and a W/H to give the right size/position, and move it beneath the tick marks;
2) For each desired end of the circle part, or for each end of a (differently) coloured portion of it,
2a) If the end is under a tick mark (as the case in post #2): Select the circle part and switch to the Scissors Tool, then click each point in question where it crosses under a tick mark (Smart Guides will say intersect when you are there);
2b) If the end is not under a tick mark, create a line that crosses it in the right place (you may drag it out from the centre with the Line Tool or you may select two tick marks and make a blend with a number of steps that give you a line where you want it, then expand the blend, and delete the intermediate line(s) afterwards), then use the Scissors Tool as in 2a), or just use the Scissors Tool by eye or based on a locked template underneath;
3) If you wish to have a gap between the ends and the tick marks (as in the first OP image and post #5), you can:
3a) Select each tick mark in question and in the Appearance palette flyout tick New Stroke, still in the Appearance palette drag the new stroke down beneath the original stroke, give it a Stroke Weight to cover the gap, and either:
3a1) Give the copy stroke the colour of the background, or
3a2) Expand Appearance, then select the copy stroke path and Object>Path>Outline Stroke to get a filled path and use that path as the guide to cut the (portion(s)) of the partial circle as in 2a).
Did this have a sufficient unintelligibility to present a real challenge?

the WWI design of a cover letter is very "company" specific. In most cases data like:
- which material number was "delivered" is shown e.g. with material text
- some contact adress data from the company shipping the MSDS is shown
etc.
Most of the information printed are retrieved using a parameter symbol. Some data might come from information in CVD1; some data is retrieved by using the data from CVD1; e.g. Customer adress information etc. (here data is retrieved from business partner information)
The parameter symbols you are showing are "standard"; therefore you can use option of Ralph to try to identify the "source" of the data as retrieved.
There are not many threads related to cover letter topic in this FORUM; I believe not more than 10 threads are related to this topic. I participated in discussion of one of these threads; i was not able to find the thread; sorry
Only as a hint: don't only concentrate on WWI design; identify as well how you need to "link" the cover letter to a specific "process"; this is done via customizing; e.g. refer to the SDS distribution OSS in which the whole SDS process is described; the process is described well how to "link" the cover letter to a shipment process

How to post Facebook Cover to a Business Page?

I am using photoshop elements for the first time, and saw that it could create a Facebook Cover that blends in the Profile Pic. When I created it, and tried to upload it to Facebook, Photoshop prompted me to authenticate my account, which I did, then said it couldn't upload to my business account, only to my personal account. Does anyone else out there know how I can fix this?? Thanks.

If your program is Photoshop Elements, then you are in the wrong forum. So how your thread got posted in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing).
It is my understanding that the Facebook Cover option is found in Elements Organizer 13 under Create/Facebook Cover and needs Photoshop Elements 13 for its workspace.

How to create a manual tabular form with DELETE capability

Since the wizard tabular form does not allow the use of checkboxes, I am building my tabular form manually following the HOW-TO document. I will need to be able to delete rows in the form in addition to inserting and updating. Is there a document somewhere that describes how to do this? The how-to doesn't cover it and I have searched the forums to no avail.

To create dynamic checkbox you can do the following:
SELECT HTMLDB_ITEM.CHECKBOX(1,"your database field name", 'unchecked or checked') " "
FROM YOUR_TABLE_NAME OR DUAL;
...then...
In order to extrapolate the checkbox value you use following array:
htmldb_application.g_f01("subscript value)"
This array will contain value of checkbox. At this point you can do this:
if htmldb_application.g_f01("subscript value)" = 'Y'
THEN
INSERT DATA...
DELETE DATA...
END IF;
Hope this somewhat helps...
NOTE: I have entered a lot of pseudo values/code but I believe you can fill in the blanks for what you need.

How to create the "300" Movie Effect in FCP

Would be eternally grateful if someone could tell me how to create the 300 movie look in Final Cut Pro. I've scoured the Interwebs for a tutorial with no luck.

I think it's not as hard as people think, it just looks intimidating because there are no popup windows. Everything in the interface is on the top of the rooms. Just think if FCP had things this way...
I learned to use color in a class in Cupertino (I'm a certified trainer in Color and FCP) but gotta say, it's just not "Mac-like" in it's interface. It was originally written for Unix as was Shake, so they look similar... but they really aren't that hard to learn. The certified training course in Color is only a 2 day affair. I could teach anybody color on a one on one in one day. Doesn't make them a colorist just as learning FCP doesn't make them an editor... but the buttons? yep 1 day.
FCPs full training is 8 days for full level 2 certification, and even then, it doesn't cover everything you could do in FCP...
I teach a 15 week course in FCP and STILL don't have time to teach it all. So what's easier to learn? Color.
