How to create a DVD link/alias

How do i create a link (or alias) to the DVD? It works if use a CDROM - no problems - but a DVD -no. The main problem is Front Row that wont play filmclips in another place that the "Film" folder. I prefere to save films on DVD, not CDs (wonder why?), this means that i must copy them to the harddrive just to watch them.
Why is evrything conserning DVD:s in tiger just bugs?
Ps. Give me just preferences in Front Row - please. Ds.

No can do.
A DVD that plays on the TV will not have web links, even when played on a computer.
You can export flash versions, but that version will not be playable on a TV. An Encore flash export can (I think) have URL links, although I have not done it.
I wonder if there is a way to have the computer launch a flash version rather than the TV version.It would be a manual start I suspect.

I have created a reports of all employees of my department.
This reports shows me the empno and ename
When I clicked on a empno ( for example empno = 1 ) then then I got a MASTER DETAIL FORM about that employee(empno = 1) .
Who he or she is and which course he or she had followed.
I want create a dynamic link in the MASTER DETAIL FORM which shows me directly the folder of that employee ( in this example folder 1 ).
If I clickt on the report with all employees of my department on an other number ( for example empno = 3333333) then if I click on the dynamic link in the MASTER DETAIL FORM I want to see the folder of employee 3333333 !!! You know what I mean ?
What I want to know is, how to create a dynamic link that shows me directly a folder which is dependent on which empno I had clicked on in the report ( report with employee numbers and ename )
Is there any way to pass some parameters into a link to a Folder ? Is this possible in Portal ? Does anyone know how to do this, or do you have a suggestion how to solve this problem ?

I am glad that someone had replied on my question.
I will explain it to you again.
I have created a report that shows me all employees. If I click on a employee number then I get an MASTER DETAIL FORM on my screen with all the information(where he works now and which number I have to dial ifhow can I reach him by telephone) of that employee on which number I clicked on.
I really like this mechanism. (You click on a number and the information that you see in the next screen is dependent of the number you clicked on ! )I have created all this. It works fine.
What I want is to expand this example.
Every employee has a FOLDER (yes, those ones in Content Area ) which they can insert text or image into that folder. The folder name is just the employee number. ( employee with employee number 3303, he owns a folder which is named 3303 and an employee with empno 9999, he or she owns a folder with the name 9999. )
Every employee can tell more about himself in that FOLDER by iserting text and images. For example : What he likes, pictures of his vacation, something like this.
What I want is this :
If I click on the first report,which provides me all employees on screen, on a employee number 3303 then I get a Master Detail Form on my screen with all information about that employee with employee number 3303. And I want in this MASTER DETAIL FORM to create a link that shows me directly the FOLDER of that employee ( 3303), so I can learn more about employee with employee number 3303. But I don't know how to create this link.
That link had to be dependent on the employee number. The difficult thing about this link is that this link had to be dynamic.

I just want to know how to make a link like this ( create a dynamic link to a specific folder ).

i've had DVD Studio Pro for a while and never used it.
would it be to hard to give me a step-by-step guidance on how to create a DVD from a QuickTime file in DVD Studio Pro (initially, in the form of a VIDEO_TS folder or IMG file) with no menus at all, so that it's played straight away once inserted into a stand-alone DVD player?

If you are starting in SD and can use compressor, that works better: there are more knobs to twist to adjust the results to your liking. Going from HD to SD, I think compressor or a third party encoder is a must. Just too many things to tweek to get it right for the video you shot.
AC3 has another advantage in addition to file size: bit rate. There is a limit on what DVD players will handle - usually less than 10mb/s. And if you can have video + audio well under that, you disc will be compatible with more players. If can always put both on the DVD, and use a menu to let a user pick one, but you don't want menus yet, as you said. Many music DVDs do just that: PCM for best fidelity (it is noticeable on a really high end system that most mortals don't have), or DD, even 5.1 for everyone else.
Encoding: I use 7.5mb/s max for video, and adjust the "average" depending on how big my video is; I've used as low as 4.2 for stage plays and it was not too bad. If you have a short video, you might use CBR (contstant bit rate) at 7.5 for the best quality. I likewise adjust my AC3 bit rate; 192 stereo where I must save space and the original sound quality was not great anyway, up to whatever the max is (384, I think).

How to create a dvd from iMovie '11

I have created a video in iMovie and am trying to transfer it to a DVD. However, there is no Export function. When I share the movie to a file it uses a .mp4 format which is then not able to be be burned to a disc. In the past, the extension was .mov and I was able to create a DVD without any problems.

To burn a DVD with iDVD from the latest version of iMovie, you have to export the movie using the Export button and select 480p as the size. Open iDVD and start a new project, then drag that exported movie file into the iDVD menu window, avoiding any drop zones you see.

I don't know what Apex is!!! But try to follow these instructions.
It works for Oracle 9i.
As far as I know, you are supposed to have installed other than ORACLE Client to complete these instructions.
1. Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Data Sources (ODBC)
Folder: System DSN /
click add
Choose : Microsoft Access Driver
Data Source Name : my_test
Description : any_description_you_want
click Database/Select... : full pathname for <your_file.mdb>
click OK
Click OK
2. Goto OH\hs\admin:
2.1) Create a copy of "inithsodbc.ora" file giving it this name:
initmy_test.ora
2.2) Edit "initmy_test.ora" and change as below.
# HS init parameters
HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = my_test
HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = OFF
3. Add this entry to listener ( Don't forget to stop/start the listener )

4. Now you need to add entries to point to the HS in the tnsnames.ora :

how would I go about creating a dvd menu, either within a program or in a program that can be burned with another program? I have adobe and macromedia suites, so hopefully I have the programs that are necessary, but I don't even know where to begin.

Adobe Encore will create menus for you. Encore is now bundled with Premiere pro.

How to create a DVD from several FCP projects?

I'm strugeling to create a DVD. I feel like a fool because it used to go so easy with my old computer but with my new Mac it doesn't seem to work.....
What I'm doing:
- Footage MTS 1920x1080, 24Mbps .MOD files
- I upload them from my camera into FCP
- I make projects (let say 20 different ones)
- I want to put all the projects on 1 DVD as seperate 'chapters/ icons'
- With FCP I can only put one project at the time on a DVD, so that doesn't work
- I bought DVD creater to put the exports of FCP on a DVD, problem I can not create a export out of FCP that will be recognised by dvd creater.
I know that I will be able to convert my FCP export into something else by some programme. But this is a work around, I don't really want to do such a extra step because the quality will be lower.
Ik hope someone has a solution for me!

I have just exported the slideshow from iPhoto to the iPhoto Slideshow Folder, opening iDVD.
I selected create a new project as EJ3 in MoMs folder hit CREATE and iDVD quit, disappears,
THE iDVD icon is still active on the doc but how ever it is simply GONE,
this is the second time i tried this. I will restart the computer and come back and try it again.
OK. I restarted the Mac, opened iDVD, selected MAGIC iDVD and in the movie section EJ3 was no where to be found.
I will now close iDVD and try create a new project, saved MY GREAT DVD to the desktop.
Cannot find EJ3 or the other exported iPHOTO slide shows under Elizabeth.....

but I can't select, or import, or open in iDVD.
I am totally lost and thinking that this can't be done for some unknown reason.
I am thinking if iMOVIE is the way to go OR if I should delete iDVD and reinstall it from the iLIFE disk.
I am sorry for all this failure.

How to create a dvd for stereo and 5.1

I wonder if I can use stereo files (aiff and wave) to create a dvd that will work with a stereo system and a 5.1 system. I made a dvd before and one of the shortfilms couldn´t be read in 5.1, but the rest worked perfectly, so I don´t understand how it works. Do I have to make a menu for 5.1 another for stereo, or it could work with both?

At product/category/sku level there is a property called template.
Find the property in ACC/BCC and provide all the values including the URL property.
In you jsp, you can use this property from product/sku like the way you retrieve any other property from sku/product.
<dsp:valueof param="product.template.URL" />
Using that property with <dsp:include> includes that page.

I have a requirement like i am using the below sql query in my application
select * from emp@testlink;Now i have 3 users i have created the seperate link for this three users.
ex: test and work and office
Now if test login to pc the above code will be
select * from emp@testlink;if work entered dynamically it will be as
select * from emp@worklink;same as office .

variable i have to pass it in dynamic.
How to achieve this??

I want to achieve following, using the IFS java apis. How can i do that. what classes - methods i can use from ifs. A code snippet will be really helpful.
Here goes my task of creating links to a file from different folders in repository..........
To create a file link:
Select check box to the left of the file or folder you want to display in another folder....
Click the Edit icon and choose Copy.......
Navigate to the folder in which you want to create the link....
Click the Edit icon and choose Paste as links....
If you want to create a link in more than one location...:
Navigate to the next folder in which you want to create a link.....
Click Edit and choose Paste as links.....
Continue until you have created links in all desired locations.....
But, I want to achieve above using Java API.
Your help is appreciated.

How to Create Public database link in oracle 9i?

in the 'nubul' database server using system user.
i created a database link to connect the 'test' database
sql> create public database link test using 'test';
database link created.
then i logged in as normal user....
sql> select count(*) from employee@test
Error at line 1:
ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve service name
where i am making mistake?
i gave the linkname as my remote database name.
am i have to make any entry in the tnsnames.ora?

You have to remember that when you access a dblink, the database where the link is defined is acting as a client to the database to which the link points ... exactly the same as if you you were using sqlplus on the machine hosting the db where the link is defined. In other words, given:
Host 'Host-src', with database 'db-src', with a dblink 'lk_target'
Host 'host-trgt', with database 'db-trgt'
When you connect to db-src and access lk-target, db-src is now acting as a client to db-trgt. Exactly as if you had opened sqlplus on host-src and connected directly to db-trgt. So, given the above scenario
host-src$> sqlplus scott/tiger@db-src
sql> select * from emp@lk_target;when you execute that SELECT to the link, the same tns considerations are in effect as if you had
host-src$> sqlplus scott/tiger@db-trgtThe same tnsnames.ora entry, on the source machine, is required for both.
