How to create a link which will redirect to a different iView?

Hello,
I have a certain iView, let's call it "myiView" which sits inside a certain Role, let's call it "myRole".
At the Homepage of the users I have KM navigation iView which shows a certain folder. I would like to create inside this folder a link to "myiView", this way when users will click on this link at the Homepage they will be redirected automaticly to "myiView". I remember reading once something regarding internal links perhaps this is solution but I'm not sure. Can anyone please show me how to create such link which redirects to another iView at the portal.

I am creating a KM link to this target, where at this link I can write javascript? As far as I know it is only possible at the iView level no? And where do I take the PCD URL from?

I think that your method will open a whole new browser since it is an external link, I woulk like to keep the current navgation at the same page, simply navigate the user to a different place at the portal...

What you're referring to is a drop down menu. Those can't be created normally in iWeb. They can be added to a iWeb page but require an HTML snippet and javascript. Some possible javascript solutions have been posted in this forum. Search for drop down menu. Also do a Google search for drop down menu to get a number of sites with possible solutions.
Or, you can create a separate Residential page and put photos of windows, shower doors, etc. on it and use them as links to the pages for the windows, shower doors. Those pages don't have to be included in the navbar. You can turn it off in the Inspector/Page/Page pane.

I am very new to Acrobat Professional 8 - Can anyone tell me how to create a basic PDF document to print most pages in A4, but some in A3?
Currently my document is set up as a binder, do I need to set it up as a PDF package?

I will explain better my problem:
I have an ASP.NET WebPAge (C# - 2.0). In this page, the user make a request. The request should generate a PDF document with the informations of the request and with a field to add a digital signature. The document created will be send to a approver that will confirm the approval applying his digital signature (I need to do too, a webpage where the approver open the page, choose the pdf document, and sign, just selecting his own certificate and clicking in the button SIGN... but this is another problem).
That's the reason that I have to create a PDF document. If I create a WORD or HTML document, and then convert to PDF, how can I add a field to digital signature in this pdf document?
Is there any solution using Acrobat SDK?

How to create dynamic link which point to a BLOB column in report

I am fighting with the issue for about 2 days.
My purpose is to use Oracle Report Builder to build a report of our employee directory which contains employee's information and also employee's picture. The requirement is that our report is going to generate a html file to our web server. By creating a dynamic hyperlink to the Employee's name in the report output file (the html file generated to our web server), it should then display the corresponding employee's picture which is a BLOB column stored in our oracle database.
I only can create the hyperlink for the employee's name if the link is static, like 'http://www.google.com
But from the Oracle Reports 10g Release2 (10.1.2), about the exmaple 1: Dynamic hyperlink, I refered the link

The link gave he following example shows a value for the Hyperlink property that specifies a link to a destination identified dynamically:

where :DEPTNO is a column value retrieved from the database at runtime.
I tried as the same way to want it dynamcially shows the column :EMP_PHTOT, which is one BLOB column, but it was failed.
Anyone knows how to implement this? Any inputs is appreciated!

What exactly is the error messag u are getting ?
If u have a hyperlink which refers to www.oracle.com in ur pdf, does it work ?
I think simple URL from PDF will not retrieve any data from the oracle database since it has to make some database connection.
My suggestion would be whenever request for employee information comes,
extract that picture from blob and put it a virtual folder in the application server.
And from the pdf/report access the URL with reference to the picture...

Hi all,
I am using financial reporting studio for reports.
I have a planning appliaction. And i used Zones as the Entity Dimension.
Now I am trying to create a report for users to see my entity dimension hierarchy.
Something like Zones
East
West
North
South
I am able to generate the report but the hierarchy of the Zones does not show up..
Can anybody advice if there is a option in Financial Reporting to make the hierarchy structure more visible by adding proper indentation between the parent and the child?..
And yes i have used a prompt for the Entity in the report....

I would like to have one table with some information in the corner of each sheet, but I would like the tables update automatically. Soo.. if I update one of them, rest of them update accordingly.
I thought I would be able to put a table in the header but it didn't work.

Program your master sheet with representative data in the cells that you would like to have repeated in the slave sheets.
Prepare a typical slave sheet, with a table programmed to reference the key cells in the master sheet.
Name the slave sheet "Template", or other distinctive name that you will recognize and keep otherwise empty and as a template for new sheets.
When you need a new sheet, Click on the Sheet icon of Template sheet. Then Command-C, Command-V, and rename "Template-1" to identify it as a working sheet.

XML Forms: how to create download link

can anybody tell me, how i can create a download link to a document rid
in an XML form?
I can create a link which will open the referenced document, but "right klick
link | save target as..." will produce an error, since the link is a javascript call.

How To: Create a link to gatewayed content (e.g. in email)

I apologize if this is too basic of a question but I can't find any results after looking for several hours.
I would like to generate a URL in an email that points to the portal and a specific portlet in the portal. The portlet has limited access rights so the URL should cause the portal to go through the login page and then redirect to the portlet. Can anyone point me to the documentation that describes this or give me an example?

Using the PTARGS might also solve another difficulty I've encountered passing (dynamic) querystring parms to portlets through the gateway. Your example seems to work great for portlets, but now trying to access a Community page containing a portlet to retain branding elements.
For portal pages, should the ObjectID be the pageID (i.e PageID=0 for the default page) or is the ObjectID for a community page some other value (where in PlumDB is this stored) ? I changed the ClassIDView to 514 which should indicate a Community Page but it's still not loading my page. Adding to my confusion, the PTCOMMPAGES table stores the PageID as a negative value.
Here's my example:

To assign a date calculation variable to an existing variant by selecting attributes goto change mode and select D -
here your requriment is to tae SATURDAY AND SUNDAY ALS into consideration for shipment or creating a delivery right.
giyou will have to create 4 + 4 = 8 varints in total to ful fill your requriment.
the procedure is as follows; today is WEDNESDAY
please choose current day +/- days = +3 days to mae it to reach upto friday and saturday also and sunday you want to ship high light those days
proceed with your requriment.

How to Create a Link to a Discoverer Workbook in Apps11i?-[solved]

I tried to create a link to a disco workbook in apps 11i using metalink document 278095.1. It seems to be working ok for discoverer which is installed on the same machine as the apps11i is on(because when I clicked on the link which I have created in apps11i, I see a default disco4i welcome page which got installed out of the box with apps11i). But we are using discoverer version 10g which is on a different server. Does anyone has ideas on how to create a link for a disco workbook which is on a different server other than apps11i.
Discoverer version is 10g
Apps version is 11.5.10.2

I did as you said and it seems to be connecting to the right server. But I have one more problem. In metalink document it says I have to enter the following in the Parameters text field of Function form in apps:
workbook=<(workbook identifier from step2) &PARAMETERS=param_parameter name One~Parameter One Value*param_parameter name Two~Parameter Two Value*
But I dont understand what should I have in place of param_parameter name One~Parameter One Value. Is it the name of the parameter given in discoverer, if so can you give me an example of how to write it. Because when I typed the name of the parameter like &PARAMETERS=Client Id, where client Id is the name of the parameter, it is giving me the following error
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error

I want to create Maintenance Plan which will take full backup Daily Between 1st Oct to 30 July every year.
Meance plan should execute Only between 1st oct to 30 July every year, It should take backup Daily basis.
I have seen in sql server we can create Maintainance Plan But If I set Start Date & end Date then after that End Date the plan will never work.
So Is it possible to setup Maintenance Plan which will occur every year between 1st Oct to 30 July?

I am using sa user to login Which is Part of sysadmin But in new query I get error that sp_update_schedule not found.
I try to add role to sa But Not getting that role.

Create PDF file which will write to mdb

HI there.
I have a requirement to add some code to a set of PDF files which will be read by members of my team as part of their induction. Each pdf has a form at the end which captures their name and a tickbox to state that they have read the document. When a submit button as part of the form is clicked I would like to write these basic details to an access mdb database so that we can keep a check of who is compliant with the induction process.
Is it possible to use Livecycle designer to create a document which will do this when opened in Adobe Reader? I don't need the code to do this - just need to know if it is possible. If not are there any other ways I could save the information on the form silently without the user needing to do anything other than submit the information?
I've read somewhere that for certain things to work you need to activate some kind of reader extensions - is that the case for this solution?

Hi Matt,
Yes, if the user has the free Adobe Reader, then database access will require the form to be Reader Enabled in LC/ADEP Reader Extensions.
While you can Reader Enable a form in Acrobat (with restrictions), connecting to a database is not permitted.
