How to create a logical system DEVCLNT110 at RSA1?

This logical system is only for this system/client only.
In other words, it is NOT point to any other data source. I want to define DEVCLNT110 at DEV/110.
I know how to do it in SALE or BD54. Now I want to know how to do it at RSA1.

In RSA1 you need to create a new Source System using the logical system name.
And then do source system mapping.

How to delete a Logical system?

Hi all,
I was trying to execute the Demo examples provided as part of SAP XI. Before executing, I am trying to configure the settings, but I created some Logical Systems which didn't configured well.
So, I want to delete them in order the reconfigure every thing from begening. But I am uable to delete the Old Logical Sustems completely. I am still seeing them in my Integration Builder(Configuration).
Please let me know is there any way to delete them.

I see them under Scenarios(tab) and when i try to delete tem it says that "They will not be deleted and will be available in Objects(tab)".

Need hlep! The issue about creating a logical system!

Hi all,
When I create a new logical system, and T-code is BD54. My user profile is SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW. The system pop-up the Warning message as follow:
You are not allowed to change cross-client customizing.
I have looked it into

SAP_BC_BASIS_ADMIN - Assign this Role to your User name in SU01 and then try creating Logical system, Also check the Client setting in SCC4(such as the client Role, Cross-client object changes...). Hope this Resolves your issue.

How to create the logical file name

Hi All,
 I have requirement where i need to post the Inventory Management data. for this i need to execute std. program RM07MMBL which is having logical file name in the selection screen. but i have placed my input file in application server.
 Can any one tell how to create the Logical filename which refers the physical path. I also tried t-code SF01 & Table - FILENAMECI and found that we need to add an entry in this table but i really dont know how we have to do since this table cannot be maintained in SM30 also..

Try using FILE transaction code...
Follow these steps to create:::
Double click on Logical file Path Definition
Click on New Entries,
Give Logical file Path name as Z_LOGICAL PATH and save it
now choose this path and double click on Assignemt of Physical path to Logical path
double click on the OS name
Give some description and give some Physical path name from AL11 transaction and save it
Now Double click on Logical File Name Definition,
Click on New Entries,
Give some logical file name: Z_LOGICAL_FILENAME
Physical file: test
Data Format: BIN
Logical Path: Z_LOGICAL PATH

     First log on to SAP R/3 server connections Go to SCC4 in R/3 & in Scc4 BW server. A screen opens in that logical name of the system would be opened in both (R/3 & BW).
     Take notepad in it save .R/3 & BW logical names go to R/3 & click SM59 to create R/3 connections click then a screen opens gives BW logical name in RFC Destination option & give connection. type 3 & give some description & then press enter.
     You will get another screen under it then at target host gives BW server name we will get it from BW logon change ID, IP address option & give the system no. The system no go to logon pad just drag it then you will see the name.
     Then click on log on securities go to log on give BW server details like No, client user Password. Then save it then click test connection tab if there are errors then it gives yellow color if they are no error the whole thing come as white.
     Then click on the Remote Logon then we go to BW server give RFC SM59 & click create. Then give the server name which is at the bottom right corner give it then give the no, name, password in logon Security save it & test connection & then remote logon.
     R/3 - B W - R/3
     Logical connection source system connection is used to transfer the data from R/3 to BW. Go to BW system& click RSA1 go to source system option go to top to the source systems right click on it. Then click create then a screens opens then.
     PC Flat file , DB  Database
     Select the option manual then a screen appears RFC Destination, Logical source name then click OK then it goes to opens other screen save it test connection then remote login then it go back to the then a screen opens then click only activate.
     BW  RS1  SOURCE SYSTEM  CREATE MANUAL AUTOMATIC CELL
     R/3  Test connections login  back  replicate method  active data R/3 Source system you will able to.

Here is the process to create Logical File Path.
1)Go to tcode FILE.
2) Click on Logical File Path Definition. Give name "ZTEST" and some description.
3) Click on Assignment of Physical Path to Logical Path. and provide Syntax Group and physical path.
4) Click on Logical File Name Definition and give descrition, physical filename, Data format as ASC, Application area and logical path which you have created.

Give the name as <ldbname>..
Specify the table names and the sub nodes according to your heirarchy.The root node used is zxxx_product and child node is zxxx_orders

From R/3 to CRM create one logical system for CRM client 300.

Suppose i create one logical system for CRM in R/3 TO CRM scenario for client 300.another user wants to work on jdbc to CRM client 300 for this he wants to create another logical system for client 300 it is not possible,so,it is ok if he assign same logical system when he was working for CRM client 300 when he wants to create business system for CRM in JDBC to CRM.

Business Systems are te logical system name for a CLient in the SAP.
These can be reused again for different configuration scnario that you must have created for different interface.
All you need to do is assing the Business system to your configuration scenario and Communication channel to the same.

Can't create a logical system

Hi
Just created a system copy and can't create a logical system. I get an errror message change and transport system not configured and then action terminated in transaction BD54. I don't need a transport system.
Can anyone help me with this

What I usually do after a system copy regarding to the transport configuration are:
1. Call SE06. There are some dialog boxes to delete the current transport configuration, answer with 'Yes'. Means delete it.
2. Call STMS and attach the transport to the transport domain or create a new domain. If it is a standalone system, sandbox for example, I create a virtual system and link the transport as DEV - PRD transport system, where PRD is the virtual one. So, the transport requests will be transportable. Otherwise there will not be cofile and data created when a transport request is created. This is not transportable.
3. Call SCC4 and assigned the logical system.
4. Schedule BDLS to run sometime during the night in background.

How to configure a Logical System for XI External System

I'm following the 'How to configure SAP XI to use the standard SAP communications APIs (idoc, pabi, rfc) from external system - How to create XI content with the Integration Builder' document.
I have everything configured, but in section 6.7 when I try to do a transaction BD10 on to send a MATMAS01 idoc using my Logical System IQS_EXTERN to my external system, it says '1 master IDocs set up ...', then it says '0 communication IDocs generated ...' and my external system does not get the IDoc. The NX7 Integration Engine does not get a message from SAP_CE8 to IQS_EXTERN.
How do I specifically configure my Logical System IQS_EXTERN to communicate with my external system via XI (NX7)?
I'm using the ICC Test-System CE8, SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.7 IDES and the NX7 Exchange Infrastructure (http://iccpi7.sap.com/rep/start/index.jsp).

Check whether you have setup Partner profile for receiving system ( Here its XI system). You need to create outbound parter profile for XI system.

I am trying to integrate XI and BI. How do I create a webservice source system? When I create the webservice source system in RSA1, it asks for a logical system name. Do I need to create a RFC destination for this logical system? What other steps should be done here?

Creating and Assigning logical system after executng RSA1 transaction

Hello guys, i am stuck since many days for running the transaction RSA1 for BW but message comes you can work only in client 001 only. when i try to log in with bcuser i cannot but i am able to log in with DDIC user but it says there is no logcal system assigned. I tryied to create a new logical system but it says user ddic may not change objects something like that. please help in this case that how i can be able to use bw in NW04s trial. i created a user in the client 001 but this user fails to create logical system and mssage states that you do not have authorization to do this actine. i hope i will get the answer very soon.
