How to create a new iTunes window ?

I want to create a new iTunes window which will have only classical music.
I tried first other options (you cannot move, only copy to playlist) :
I created a subfolder and moved (actually copied) the tracks. I then try to erase the tracks from the main folder but it will also erase the tracks in the subfolder.
I then try to uncheck (in the main) but then it uncheck also in the subfolder.
How can I have these tracks in the subfolder and not in the main folder ?
I guess if I create a new window it will work but I forgot how to do this (I knew it, I did it; I forgot how)

  • How to create a new iTunes on an external HD

After a series of issues, copying and recopying libraries etc, I finally have all the music/media I want in one location.  All items have at one point been a part of an iTunes library.  I could never get iTunes to find the correct library again so I decided to start from scratch.  So... I want to keep the media on an external hard drive.  I have a folder named iTunes Music full of all my media on the external drive. I am not moving an already created library.  At this moment there is not a library, just an iTunes program and a pile of music.  I want to make them one on the external drive.  I have the following questions:
1- Do I want the actual iTunes program to live on the hard drive as well?  Advantages / disadvantages? I have an AppleTV that communicates with the computer too.  Will one set up work better than the other?
    2. Upon creating a new library, will my big folder full of media actually be copied to another location or will it simply be maneged by itunes with out creating another duplicate file full of music?
I believe I have had it set up correctly in the past.  Out of all this, the only thing that matters to me is that the music stay on the external drive.  Otherwise I am open to any configuration someone may recommend.
I know this is all pretty simple but its been too long since played with it and I couldn't find anything that explained it clearly.
    Thanks.

It sounds like you have made things more complicated than they would have been if you had done the entire move at one step from the start.  It is very easy to move an entire library to another drive but now that you have managed to split it up it takes more steps to get it back together again.
Copy your iTunes folderfrom the internal drive to the external drive.  Hold down  the option/alt key while starting iTunes and guide it to the library.itl file in the copied folder.  Hopefully all will still work well but you will now be running it all off the external drive.
It is best to keep all iTunes files inside the iTunes folder.  To do this you will need to organize/consolidate so they are moved to the correct location inside the moved folder.

  • How to create a New Event Window Pop up

The program I want to develop has many layers.  I want to have a menu page, after clicking on one of the buttons, I would like to see data display on the new event pop-up.  I have checked the example : New Event Handler.vi however, it does not work when I put my own subvi into the Event Structure.  Can you tell me what is the property of the subvi that I need to set in order to have it as a pop-up window?
    Thanks.
    Ellynn

Go to the File Menu - VI Properties.  Select Window Appearance in the Category box.  Then click on the Custom radio button and then click the Customize button.  Click on the Show front panel when called checkbox and the Close afterwards if originally closed checkbox.  Click OK.  Now when you call your subvi, it will be displayed and will close when the vi is done.

  • How to create a new Itunes Library file

Hi all, I stoe all my Itunes music / photos / vids etc on an external hard drive and recently decided to erase and reinstall Mac OS X (Mac was running slow). I still have all my music on the external drive but need to recreate my itunes library. I tried 'File Add to Library but this just copies all the music back to my HDD.
    Anyone have any ideas?

Check your preferences and make sure that iTunes recognises that the music folder is on the external drive and doesn't try to use the one in the default location. Connect your drive, open iTunes and go to iTunes>Preferences>Advanced and where it says "iTunes Music folder location" use the Change button to choose the folder on your external.

  • I created a new Itunes playlist and when I synch my phone it is not visable as a playlist on my phone (Iphone 6), but it does appear on my computeras a playlist on my phone.  How can I get it to be visable on my phone?

I created a new Itunes playlist and when I synch my phone it is not visable as a playlist on my phone (Iphone 6), but it does appear on my computer as a playlist on my phone.  How can I get it to be visable on my phone?

    Hi,
It sounds like there may be some disconnect between the phone and the computer.  Could be a number of things going on, but one way I've been able to fix this issue on several occasions is by completely removing all of the music from the iPhone (Settings > General > Usage > Storage > Manage Storage > Music > swipe 'All Songs' to the left and tap 'Delete') and then re-syncing it from iTunes all at once.  Be sure to disconnect your phone from the computer and close iTunes first.  Keep in mind that any songs that are on the phone but are NOT in the iTunes library will not be synced over after you delete them from the phone.  If the songs on the phone were purchased from the iTunes Store you can transfer them to the computer's iTunes library by connecting the phone to iTunes then selecting File > Devices > Transfer Purchases from [user's] iPhone.
After deleting all songs from the phone, go back into Settings and check the music storage again to make sure everything was deleted.  If the 'Music' app is not listed anymore, then you should be good to go.  Just to be sure, you can also check the Music app itself and make sure no songs appear there (if songs appear with cloud icons next to them, turn off 'Show All Songs' in Settings > Music and then check the Music app again -- no songs should appear).
Once you're absolutely sure all songs have been removed from the phone, restart the iPhone, plug it back into the computer, and let iTunes sync.  Give it time to sync everything over at once and make sure the sync doesn't get interrupted.  Everything you've set to sync should sync over properly.
If it still doesn't sync, there may be a corrupted file in the iOS installation on the phone or in the iTunes installation on the computer.  It's more likely that the issue is in the phone's software, especially if you ever installed an iOS update over Wi-Fi (through the Settings app).  I'd recommend making an iTunes backup and restoring the phone to factory settings through iTunes.  Then set the iPhone up as a new iPhone and test the syncing -- the playlist should sync over properly.  If not, Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 - Apple Support.  Then test again.
Once you get the syncing working with the phone set up as new, restore the phone from your iTunes backup and test the syncing again.  Now that the iOS files have been reinstalled, hopefully the corruption is gone!  If it still doesn't sync properly, the corruption may be somewhere else (in a song in the playlist, in some app data in the backup, etc.).  That could be harder to pinpoint, but don't worry about that for now.  Start simple.
    Good luck!

  • How can i create a new shell window using some functions?

1.In a shell window, how can i use a command to create another new shell window?
2.In C code, which function will be called to create a new shell window?
(not excute shell command -- being implemented by using system() )
    Thanks!

#1 I don't know what a "shell window" is. There are shells (programs that accept terminal input and run scripts), and there are windows (usually drawn by an Xclient (like xterm), or a toolkit client (dtterm, gnome-terminal).
The two are very different. You may just want to run xterm or something and assume that it will also launch a shell.
#2 You'll need to explain that one better. system() is the normal way to launch external commands. If you don't want to use it, you'll need to explain why it's not useful here.

    This is not possible...

    Hi ...
Just be cause the account was disabled (Apple ID) doesn't mean you can't reset the password and have access to your iTunes purchases.
Use the iforgot link to reset your password > Apple ID: "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons" alert appears
If you have problems resetting, use the email form here >   Apple - Support - iTunes Store - Contact Us

  • How to create a new album in iCloud windows 7

How to create a new album in iCloud on a windows 7  op. system, ready to accept old photos?

Since asking the question I have a workaround. Load your photos into iCloud on the PC.They will then appear on the iPad in all photos. Create a new album on the iPad [plus sign top left corner]. Select your photos to place into the album. Press add [top line] and the photos pop into the album. This will then appear in iCloud on the PC. Be nice if there was a create new album on the PC. All done in windows 7.

  • Creating a new iTunes library in Windows

I need to create a new iTunes library but holding down shift while opening iTunes does not seem to open the dialogue box to allow me to create a new library. Any idea how to solve this? Thanks!

Are you holding the Shift key before attempting to open iTunes and, for good measure, continue holding the key until iTunes has appeared?

  • HT204081 I recently updated i tunes and had previously relocated my library to an external hard drive, on restart I realized that itunes did not update the new location on the external but created a new itunes folder on my regular hard drive. how do I com

I need to know how to fix this. I updated itunes and it created a new itunes folder on my hard drive after I ported all of it to an external for space concerns. It took all my files from that folder and recreated part of it to my hard drive. Now when backing up I have no idea where it is backing up to. Any help appreciated

Sort of. My media was on multiple hard drives, some local, and actually some networked, and then I conolidated it to a single external hard drive. Renaming drives and moving files sounds like a recipe for disaster.
When doing a consolidation, files are copied to a new location and the old ones are left untouched. Does iTunes create a backup database of the file locations before doing a consolidation? I could use the backup if that were the case, since everything still exists in the original locations.
I've recieved my replacement hard drive for the one that crashed and I may be able to copy everything back manually if I knew where it went. I looked inside the iTunes Music Library.xml to see if I could figure out the folder structure, but for some reason they all say they're located in the iTunes folder in My Documents. They're not, of course.
Would the Previous iTunes Library.itl be of any use, or is that for another purpose?

  • How do I create a new iTunes account while keeping my old account?

I have an iTunes account with an Email address that I can no longer access. I have forgotten my password. Apple will not allow me to change my Email address so I cannot change my existing account at this time. I have purchased a lot of music and I do not want to delete the music.  I hope that someday in the far far future, Apple's policy will change and I can reclaim the music that I purchased.
Anyway, I want to create a new iTunes account without deleting my old account. Is this possible?
    Thanks!

Howdy! I have tried to change my Email address with Apple. Since I cannot access my old Email address, they will not let me change my password. Since I cannot recall my old password, they will not allow me to change my Email address. I am in a true Catch 22.
