How to create a new java color scheme?

Hi All
Is it possible to get the default look and feel of 11i i.e. blaf in 12i. As this color scheme is not available in 12i. And also is it possible to edit the existing color scheme?

In R12, Swan is used instead of BLAF. "Swan" user interface is globally better look without global effort.
"Swan" Improves appearance without dramatically changing layout or end user actions:
- No need to relearn the applications
- Does not disturb automated tests
- Custom applications built with OA Framework will pick up the new UI automatically with little or no rework
Oracle E-Business Suite will use only the “Swan”look and feel for R12

-if i don't have neither sys nor system access, can i create the user "jward" with the oracle user ?You need to be connected to the database to a User who already has the CREATE USER Privilege.
- once the new user created and granted,do i have to run the create schema statement under sqlplus ?It's not necessary.
A Schema is a collection of Objects (Tables, Index, ...) so you can create them with their own CREATE
Statements.
But, you may include these statements into a CREATE SCHEMA statement so that if any error occurs
all the statements are rollbacked.

11i Java Color Scheme set_canvas_property question

Hi,
I've modified the custom.pll to change a canvas color to red based on some data criteria using the set_canvas_property command. I want to set it canvas back to the original color when they create a new record. My question is how can I programmatically figure out what the default color format is to change it back?
It seems that I should use fnd_profile.value but I'm not clear how I can use this. The system profile for Java Color Scheme is blank for site, application, responsibility, and user.

Alternative to colors of 'Java Color Scheme' ?

Hi friends,
in Apps R12 I'd like to set, both in Forms and OAF screens , different colors than standard ones.
I know that through profile 'Java Color Scheme' can be specified : teal, titanium, red, khaki, blue, olive, or purple.
But.. what about if I want to create my own combinations and see them in Forms, in OAF or in both... ? Where are stored these configurations?
(I'm particulary interested on changing Forms appearance)

How to create a new row for VO1 based on values from another VO2 in the same page?
and in my use case it's preferable to do this from the UI rather than from business logic layer(EO).
Also I have read Frank Nimphius' following blog,but in his example the source VO and the destination VO are the same.

I have tried:
1.VO1(id,amount,remark1) and VO2(id,amount,remark2) are based on different EO,but render in same page,
2.Drag and drop a Createwithparams button for VO1(id,amount,remark),
3.add: Create insertinside Createwithparams->Nameddata(amount),
4.set NDName:amount, NDValue:#{bindings.VO2.children.Amount}, NDtype:oracle.jbo.domain.Number.
On running,when press button Createwithparams, cannot create a new row for VO1, and get error msg:
<Utils> <buildFacesMessage> ADF: Adding the following JSF error message: For input string: "Amount"
java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "Amount"
at java.lang.NumberFormatException.forInputString(NumberFormatException.java:48)
Can anyone give some suggestions?

My principal requirement is as follows:
1.select/check some rows from VO2, and for each selection create a new row with some attributes from VO2 as default values for VO1's corresponding attributes, and during this process the user may be cancel/uncheck or redo some of the selections.
--so it's better to implement it in UI rather than in EO.
2.it's better to implement this function with declarative way as in Frank Nimphius' blog.
--little Jave/JS coding, the better. I only have experience in ORACLE FORMS, little experience in JAVA/JS.

If I understand your question correctly:
You need to be connected to the database with the user SYS.
open a command-line session and do the following to create an Oracle user with DBA option other than SYS.

How to create a new custom tag in JSF 1.2

In JSF 1.2, all the classes (CommandButtonTag, CommandLinkTag, DataTableTag,...) in package com.sun.faces.taglib.html_basic are defined as final class. In JSF 1.1, we can create a custom tag that extends the tag in JSF taglib; it save us lots of time.
Could anybody know how to create a new custom tag in JSF 1.2?

If I recall, it was done because how tags were to be handled in 1.2 was very different from 1.1 and it was felt that developers shouldn't rely on implementation specific classes (unless they were SPI) for several other reasons (application portability being the big one here).
If it's felt that this was the wrong decision, please feel free to log an issue [1] against the RI (to date, no one has).
As to the 'borked' dependency URLs, please log an issue [1] if you find these. We have nightly builds going that work from a clean workspace and checking today's result, it seems ok.

Whoa! Do you know what you're doing? Do you have permission to write on that URL? Or does the pathname parameter you passed on File is correct? How about let the server-side handle the creation of file for you by just requesting it? Do you know how to create a server-side Java program (e.i. Servlet)? Umm.. I have installed Sap Netweaver Test drive on a linux virtual machine (windows host). The installation was successful and I was able to start the instance (application server and the database), yet I don't know how to create a new connection from my SAPGUI client (7.20) to this server. The static IP address of the server is 192.168.1.160.
I entered the following values for my new connection entry
Description: SAP Netweaver
Application server: 192.168.1.160
Instance number: 01
System ID: DB2
SAProuter: /H/192.168.1.160/S/3201/H/
But it does not work. Any idea about the values needed for creating a new entry?

This is discussed at length in the User's Guide. See the section "Creating Workspaces".
To rename a workspace using the admin application, edit the workspace attributes and type a new name in the field where the old name appears, then Apply Changes.
