How to create a pdf of a parent PowerPoint with a clickable child PowerPoint embedded in the parent PowerPoint?

I need to convert a PowerPoint into a pdf file and here's the situation: This PowerPoint has another embedded PowerPoint in it. So, when I create a pdf from the parent PowerPoint (using Acrobat XI Pro), the child (i.e. embedded) PowerPoint comes in as an image instead of a "clickable" PowerPoint from within the pdf file. Does anyone know / can confirm whether Acrobat Pro has this capability and if yes, how to use it? If no, what is the best tool / option you recommend?
Since I have a trial version of Acrobat XI Pro and only 28 days left now, I will greatly appreciate any prompt guidance, suggestions, etc.
Many thanks in advance for your time and guidance!

"the child (i.e. embedded) PowerPoint comes in as an image"
Yes, that's expected. PDF (the format/technology) is not an Office suite file format and does not have the same features of such.

  • How to create a PDF from DWF or Revit with hyperlinks?

DWF file has 20 sheets of engineering drawings.  First 10 are plans with section, detail and elevation callouts.  In DWF I can click on one of these callouts and be brought directly to the detail sheet with the detail on it (one of the second 10 pages in the DWF).  Is there a way to get this to work in PDF format - click on a section mark on plan and automatically go to the page with the section on it.

You could convert all of the sheets to PDF, combine all of them, then use the Link tool to create the callout/page jump effect you're looking for.

  • How to create a pdf file from multiple images ?

    Dear All,
I want to create a SINGLE page pdf file from two or more page size images that are combined to make a single page pdf. Again, this question is on pdfs that are made out of several, atleast  two color images and a black-and-white mask for one of them.
I have such pdf files from an unknown source (the producer is edited out) whereby there are three tiff images, obtained using the well known pdfimages extractor.
When I want to make a pdf out of tiff or png or other image formats, I right click and tell Adobe Acrobat to make a pdf.
However, I dont know how I can give a command to select say,  three tif images and specify which is the mask for which and then join  them in a way that I get the pdf from the composite of the two color images and a mask for one of them.
    Please help me out.
I am a little familiar with the pdf structure skeleton and when necessary, fixed xref tables in one of my favorite editors. A few years ago, I also wrote a bunch of javascripts to make some annotations and needed some automation and used some itext type libraries. However, I need your help in this problem as I am now rusty and forgot some of what I studied to solve my earlier problems. This is a new problem for me. Gentle hints from you would be very nice to help me in this problem. Please specify if necessary what manual and pages to read. in the pdfspec.

I would gladly mention that I am working on windows platform, preferably XP.
I can also work on linux for free products that come with it.

But adding other products, for the help of an adobe products user,
even if it outside adobe, shall add greater prestige to your company
    and give impression of user-centeredness.

Well, just add the few pdf stanzas since you are proficient on it and
I am presently a little rusty as I mentioned. Just asking a little
extra yard, not even to go an extra mile.

Well, ascii format or uncompressed format that is human readable. I
know its a binary file, but human readable ascii version of it.
I hope you can give me some stanza and various other approaches
possible so I can select or combine things for myself. I see only a
miniscule number of posts claiming to have written masks in this forum
    and then with no details.

    Dear Nghia,
Its not possible to change the name of the file in runtime. As a work around you can modify the name of the file after its created, After action u can get the last created PDF file in the Path and rename it.

  • How to create a pdf with the correct size?

    Hi there
How do I create a pdf with the correct size? I created several albums and ordered them. Now I want to backup the album and I know how to create a pdf, but when I choose A5 it's to big, when I create my own size it's not the size it should be. The original (made with iphoto) is a small size album 200x150mm. But when I create my own size (200x150) it shows some white borders.
Does anybody have some tips ore workarounds?
    Yuri
    Imac
    Iphoto 11 (9.4.2)

Books are designed for and printed on 8.5 x 11 inch stock, US Letter size.  You shouldn't have to select any size.  While viewing the All Pages mode in the book Control-Click on the page and select Save Book as PDF from the contextual menu.
That will create a PDF that iPhoto uses to upload and print.  Not all pages will be the same size as the dust jacket will be present in it's full size, 32.8 inches x 8.91 inches:
If you want a PDF that's designed for your own printing the type Command+P while viewing the All Pages window.  In the first print window click on the PDF button.  It will present you with a contextual menu where you should select Save as PDF.  That will give you an 8.5 x 11 PDF file with all pages the same size.

  • How to create a PDF document

I have a document from which I want to create a pdf file.  I have created a pdf two different ways:  1) Using the printer app, and 2) Using the app that I used to create the document in the first place and choosing Save As a pdf.  In both cases the original document was 975 KB and the pdf was 2.2 MB!  A friend of mine took the same document and created a pdf which was only 1 MB!  He used a Windows machine.  In addition the pdf I created using both methods killed the embedded url's.
I have figured it out, sort of.  First I do not want to pay $35 for an app for my Mac that allows me to convert to pdf.  If I ever need to create a smaller pdf for screen viewing and/or one which retains the active links then I will use my PC.
I used Powerpoint (Office 2010) on the PC to create a pdf which was good for web viewing and screen viewing.
So the basic problem is with the Mac - both with the basic software which blows up the file size when converting to pdf and kills the links, and with the Office for Mac which uses the basic Mac software.  I will not pursue this problem with Apple or Microsoft (Office 2011) unless Apple plans a workaround
One thing Office for the Mac gives you is the capability to Reduce File Size when saving the pptx doc; however, when then creating a pdf o te Mac I get the same expansion/kill url behavior.
So now I have a strategy which will work fine for me.  Use the PC at selected pdf creation times.
I think that Mac OS X should provide the ability to create proper pdf's and not those limited ones I have discussed above and not force one to use the PC!

The Apple doc was very helpful.  Using the Quartz filter when saving from Preview eliminated the bloat.  The reducing file size worked.
As far as the links:  all single line full url's were retained.  If you had a multiple line url or a substitution of a word for a url that did not work.  With that in mind,  most documents that I will create would work fine as pdf's.  To be sure of success I will follow this proceedure:  1) Don't substitute words for url's, 2) Make sure that url's are on one line of the document, 3) use the quartz filter out of Save As in Preview when creating the pdf, and 4) Go to the PC if the prior steps are not feasible.
I still think that Apple should make the process easier!
    Thanks for your help.

  • Netweaver 2004 :  How to create an pdf without need to use Adobe Control ?

    Dear WebDynpro experts,
in my application I use Adobe interactive forms to create a pdf document for printing purposes.
I provide it as download using the file download GUI element.
There's no need to work with the pdf document afterwards, sionce it is only needed for printouts.
If I use my application with Firefox this works great. I can download my pdf without any problem.
But if I try to use Internet explorer and wand to download the pdf I always get the message that I have
to install Adobe Control into my Internet explorer.
Is it possible to configure my application the way that I don't need the adobe control on my Internet explorer ?
Is there a better way to provide non interactive pdf documents ?
    Best regards,
    Daniel

    Dear Ruturaj,
    thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately Í don't have an "display type" property for Interactive form.
I have beneath the Event and Event properties the following properties in my
property list for the Interactive Forms element :
    data source
    enabled
    height
    id
    mode
    pdfsource
    templatesource
    tooltip
    visible
    width
I also checked the Form Properties within the designer and didn't find a display type property.
I assume this is due to the fact I use an old version of Netweaver Developer Studio since I have
only Netweaver Developer Studio 2004 SP 20.
is there a way to switch off Active X using such a version ?
    Best regards,
    Daniel

  • How to create a new Oracle OSB project automaticaly with script without IDE

    Hello,
I want to create automatically an "Oracle service bus project" and an "Oracle service bus configuration project" with scripts (ANT or Maven or ...) without using IDE, without using workshop or Eclipse. I want to create automatically (ANT or Maven) just a skeleton of an OSB project witch i can use after in workshop.
I want to create 1 "Oracle service bus configuration project" with many "Oracle service bus project" automatically (ANT or Maven or scripts) witch i can use after in workshop. How to create a new Oracle OSB project automaticaly with script without IDE ? How can i do this ?
I'm using Oracle service bus 10.3.1
    Thank you for your help.

    Thank you for your response,
I do not want to just create the services (proxy services and business services) but I want to create a template for 40 OSB project with the same scripts ANT/Maven.
Template="Oracle service bus configuration project" + "Oracle service bus project" + services of 40 OSB projects
The goal is that I have more than 40 projects to create and just the name of the projects that changes (when I say the name of the project ie the name of the OSB project, the name of proxy services and the name of business services ).
So I want to give my script (ANT/Maven) the name of 40 OSB project and the script must generate the skeleton of the 40 projects at once time and after generation of skeleton of the 40 project, I will import them in the workshop to add manually mapping and routing and other things that differs from one project to another.
So i want to generate automatically a skeletons of 40 OSB projects using a script (ANT / Maven) and I give to the script juste the names of the 40 projects.
I want to create a "Oracle service bus configuration project" and "Oracle service bus project" automatically of 40 OSB projects (ANT or Maven or scripts) witch i can use after in workshop.
I want to create one 'template' of all 40 projects in the same time, with the same directory structure (Transforlation, Business services, proxy services, WSDL .....) and all 40 project have the same transport, just the names of projects and services witch changes and i can give to the script all names of projects and services and i can give also all WSDL.
    Regards,
    Tarik
