How to create a Photomerge panorama in PSE7?

I am having trouble finding the Photomerge option in PSE7 that will allow me to take a number of individual panarama photos and merge these into one long photo. Can anybody provide me with guidance please?

Thank you for that, I was having trouble finding the menu item. I have now created a panarama picture thanks to your help. Now my question is how to include the picture in the organiser. We I tried to do this after saving the new picture it said I could not do it as it already existed in the catalogue, but I cannot see the picture in the Organiser view.

Open the three images in the Editor and from the menu click:
    File >> New >> PhotomergePanorama
    Or in PSE11
    Enhance >> Photomerge >> Panorama

  • I am trying to create a panorama, when I enter File New I don't get the Photomerge Panorama option, the only options that appear are Blank file and File from clipboard.  How do I get photomerge panorama

I am trying to create a panorama.  When I enter FILE > NEW > the Photomere panorama option does not appear.  the only options are Blank file and file from clipboard.  This is in Elements 11 on Windows 8.1 OS.  How do I get Photomerge Panorama to appear.

Since PSE11, you access the photomerge option in the 'Enhance' menu, last option. Or you can use the organizer (menu Edit / Photomerge).

  • How to create a Lamella effect in PSE7 ?

I'd like to create as a special effect a light and shadow lamella effect (as it can be seen when the light is coming through partially closed lamella curtains). Does someone knows how to create this effect with PSE7?
    Thanks for your help.

I worked on this challenge a bit and came up with the following:
    Open picture file
Duplicate background layer, work on background copy layer, shut off visibility of background layer by clicking on its eye icon. I do this so that if you want to start over again, you can just delete the newly generated layers.
Create a new, blank layer at the top of the stack, fill this with 50% gray (Edit>fill layer>50% gray), Mode:overlay
Go to Filter>sketch>Halftone pattern. Adjust size &  contrast. Pattern type:line
Soften this a bit with Filter>noise>median - set radius to suit
Still working on layer at top of stack with 50% gray, apply eraser tool to remove unwanted striping.
Go to Image>transform>skew to achieve desired curvature of stripes
Reduce opacity of this layer to suit.
An alternative may be to take a picture of a venetian blind with light behind it, define this as a pattern (Edit>define pattern), then apply this pattern in a layer. I can't try this since we don't have venetian blinds.

  • How to create a Wide Panoramic PDF document?

    Hey Folks,
Here's 2 screenshots of the type of style & page layout I would like to create.

    1. http://img02.picoodle.com/img/img02/4/4/8/fPicture23mc01eb32.jpg
I've already made the page set up horizontal. Now my question is how can I create MENU titles like the 2 examples shown at the top? Basically my question is how can I create different designs in Pages? To be honest I dont know where to start... any thoughts?

Here's how the first screenshot looks like at 100% view.
    http://img30.picoodle.com/img/img30/4/4/8/fPicture1mde5f51b.jpg
As you can see it make the PDF document look wide. I think what they did was they covered both pages instead of 1 which make the presentation look much better depending on your line of business (mine is Film/Cinema).
    So please let me know.
    Thanks.

Had this problem for a long time tried all sorts of solutions non worked. Eventaully managed to extrct from a adobe a tech support phone number, so in desperation I rang the number , sprise suprise India.
Whilst the engineer was researching the problem on his computer with me on hold I decided to start up PSE7 and get the editor up ready to try it and report the exact wording of the report message that comes up when you try to use panorama.
To my complete suprise it now worked properly, so I tried it by shutting it down once or twice whilst I still had the engineer and it was consitantly ok. have tried it for a few days since and still working!!!
What tyhe connection is I dont know nor does he but sufficent to th end result. Its worth a go.

  • Photomerge Panorama not initiating in PSE7

After reading many other threads on problems with Photomerge Panorama in PSE7 I wasn't able to find one that had the same problem with me.
When I add the selected pics to the Organizer and choose Photomerge Panorama, a new Editor window opens with the select pics shown along the bottom with an additional blank file called Untitled_Panorama1. The process then stops here. No error message pops up or anything.
I am running Windows 7 with 4 gb of ram. Any help would be appreciated!

There's nothing out of the ordinary about that image size, either.  I don't have PSE7 installed, and I didn't find any troubleshooting information about panoramas and PSE7 when I searched the Adobe website, so I can't offer any more advice.
I think you'll be impressed with that Microsoft program.
If you're thinking about purchasing PSE10, you might want to wait another month until the new version is released.

  • Photomerge panorama shuts down PSE10

When I try to create a Photomerge Panorama, PSE 10 shuts down.  The message box is a regular Windows box which simply says "PSE 10 has stopped working".  PSE 10 works normally otherwise.  The last time I used the panorama feature was about 1 or 2 months ago, and it worked normal.
I tried re-installing PSE 10, after uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling.  No change to the  problem.
Any ideas of how to fix this?
    Thank you & God bless.

Thank you for your idea, but unfortunately, the problem still exists.  I tried your suggestion a few times, both with a reboot, and without, before starting PSE10.
I have also tried using different compatibility settings, for WinXP, WinVista, Win7, and Win8.
The message I get after trying to start a Photomerge Panorama:
Otherwise the (PSE10) program functions as normal.
    Any other ideas?
    Thank you & God bless!

  • New - Photomerge Panorama crashes

I have Elements 10 , fresh install . crashes immediately  when creating New - Photomerge Panorama. I installed latest updates. I also reset preferences.  Still crashes. This is on Win 7 64 bit, which is what I had it installed on before with no issues.
    Is there a fix?

Why is Adobe continuing to ignore the many forum threads inquiring about this same problem?  IMO, this issue continuing year-after-year represents irresponsible decision-making on the part of their Change Control Board / maintenance management, for such a fundamental operation as photo-stitching.
In particular, when the same two images can be merged successfully using any of a number of separate photo-stitch apps from other vendors, yet crashes Adobe Photoshop, then ipso facto, where do YOU think the blame lies?
In my opinion as a software programmer, an attempt to perform such a basic operation as merging two images, regardless of their size, should NOT cause a frickin' crash.  Programmatically, this speaks to (a) poor memory management, and (b) terrible error-detection/handling/reporting.
Crashing Adobe Photoshop is an unacceptable outcome for such a fundamental operation, even if one is working with photos that are truly of larger-than-normal size.  It's COMPLETELY inexcusable when the images in question are of standard sizes produced by current-day camera technology.  The workaround of resizing the original photos is an unacceptable option for someone who is attempting to maximize a print size without resolution loss.

  • Photomerge panorama: After creating how do you add color and saturation?

Photomerge panorama: After creating, how do you add color or saturation?

You don’t use selections. The adjustments apply to the whole image. You can alternatively select Curves instead of Hue/Saturation and apply the adjustments to highlights, shadows etc.
Otherwise you need to make a duplicate layer and apply the layer mask to make adjustments to a particular area.

  • Photomerge panorama PSE7 wrong image order 360 view

    Hi,
I have been using PSE7 and photomerge panorama for over a year on Windows XP with no problems.  Recently I tried stitching together eight images which formed a 360 view.  The problem is the resulting panorama is in the wrong direction, or image order.  To clarify, the eight images were taken left to right of an ocean view from a forest bluff, with my back to the sun.  So the sun is shining through the trees behind me, and image 1 is trees on the left side, image 2 is trees and ocean, with 3 and 4 being the ocean center and 8 being trees on the right side.  The images are titled 1 thru 8, and they are ordered in the dialog box 1 thru 8.  No matter what I do, all the photomerge panorama functions, except interactive, reverse the image order making the sun coming through the trees the center of the panorama, and not the ocean.  So the panorama I get is always 4 thru 8, 1 thru 3 not the 1 thru 8 that I selected.  All images were taken on a Canon G10 with 30% overlap for each image, on a tripod, no change in focal length, but some small variation in exposure.  My only solution is to use the interactive feature, but the results are not nearly as good as using auto or cylindrical.  The perspective option does not work because it is a 360 view.
Thank you to those who have read my mini essay to this point, and an even bigger thank you in advance if you can help me solve this challenge.  So far I have not found this issue in any other post.
    Cheers,
    Ryan

Now that you mention it I've never seen any way to specify which image is leftmost.
You could create a slightly less than 360 degree pano, then merge the last image in separately...  I suppose you'd still chance it going in on either end though.
Sure seems like a feature they definitely should have included.

  • Photomerge panorama produces an empty merge file from two images; how can I fix this? Thanks

Photomerge panorama produces an empty merge file from two images; how can I fix this? Thanks

If you did not create this swf yourself then you won't be able to do what I am suggesting.  If you did, then open the fla in Flash and go into the Publish Settings and select the option to publish an html file as an output.  That will create an html page that embeds the Flash file.  Test that file in your browser and see if it plays properly.  IF so, then copy that code in place of whatever Dreamweaver did to embed the Flash.
Dreamweaver is not a reliable tool for embedding Flash content... why it does not do it the same way Flash does it is anyone's guess.

    ELHID labs,
As your question applies to Photoshop Elements, I will Move your post there. Your links and any e-mail subscriptions will follow perfectly.
Also, I think that Steve G. and Neale have given you some great direction to getting your Panorama "stitching" working for you.
    Good luck,

On the Elements help screen at http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/using/stitching-together-panoramas.html, which I reached by searching on how to stitch images, I am instructed to select "File > Open > Photomerge Panorama".  But in my new Elements 12, there is no "Photomerge Panorama" option, or anything like, under File > Open.  Does it no longer exist?  If not, How can I find it?

In expert mode click the Enhance menu.
