hello ,
as you see in this screenshots I took from "project" magazine .
there is a quiz where you can select an answer , collect the score , reset the answers, and then you can get the correct answer for each question .
what is the technique used ? and if I want to hire someone to do this what are the skills he needs to have?

I'd hire someone with html5 skills. Then you will be able tu put the form created everywhere you need: ipad, on a website, etc.

ChewyHere is something to wet your appetite. This script creates squares and allows you to draw any shape with the mouse when mouse is down.
It doesn't define what square things are drawn around - this is how lines can be drawn with AS3 in principal. Just place the script on timeline.

How to create a quiz with a video background.
I need to create multiple quiz, which should appear at certain times during the execution of a video.
For example: A person watches a section of the video, and at one point have to answer a question that appears on the video, then one chooses the answer, and the video continues.
It is possible to do this? Insert a quizz on a video?
I use Captivate 8. Thank you!In Camtasia is possible, but I was looking for alternative because it is very limited. But I think I'll have to use himself.

Hey guys, Ive been trying to figure out how to create a quiz using captivate but I dont see any operators that would let me sum (on actionscript) the value of several fields including on the quiz and then show an answer based on the answer, anyone has done this?
Hello again, got it to work somehow.
Will try to explain by some snapshots (hope all will be accepted).
Started with creating some user variables:
v_Counter starts at 0, will be augmented each time the user answers a question, and used to test if each question has been answered.
v_Q1,...v_Q5: get the value attributed to the choice for each question (only made 5)
v_Sum: will be used to store the sum of the 5 previous variables, and used for the decision which Text has to be shown.
In my project I do have 2 slides:
On the first slide you see the 5 questions, for each answer I created a button (Click box with Text Caption is also possible). On success for each button an Advanced Action will be triggered. Those are called Quest1A, Quest1B... Quest5D. A lot of actions, but with duplicate it is rather easy to create them because they are all similar, only a few things will have to be changed.
The 'button' at bottom right can be clicked when the user has finished. This will trigger another advanced action, called 'Checkit', to check if all questions have been answered (based on a condition for the variable v_Counter). The Text Caption (labeled it 'Incomplete') 'Please, make...' is initially invisible, will only be shown when the user clicks the button without having answered every question.
This is an example of one of the actions 'QuestXY'
The variable v_Q1 gets the right number. The buttons that have not been clicked for this question will be hidden (B1B; B1C; B1D, labeled those buttons). The variable v_Counter will be augmented by 1.
Here is the action Checkit triggered by the 'Done' button:
It is a condition: if all questions are answered on slide 1, there is a jump to slide 2; if not the Incomplete text will be shown on slide 1, user can complete questions.
On entering slide 2 (where Text is shown, based on the result, sum of the questions) this action Result is triggered:
Beware: I'm not showing this action totally. First the value of v_Sum is calculated.
Then you'll have to construct a condition for each possible value of v_Sum. It was not clear to me if there is a different Text Caption to appear based on exactly one number or if they is a < and > condition? For the moment only created 3 Text Captions on slide 2 that are initially invisible. Those TC are labeld: Comment16, Comment14 and Comment10. To save time in all other cases the Text Caption 'NoComment' will be shown.

How to create multiple modules in quizzes in single file?

Can someone guide me how to create a multiple module quizzes under one captivate file ( captivate 5.5 ver)
I have a quiz.cptx file with 50 questions from different chapters A,B,C,D,E with 10 questions in each chapter.
The scenario
Note : min 80% score per chapter is the passing criteria
1. Start the quiz after login and password
2. Start the quiz for chapter A ( 10 questions)
3. score for chapter A should be displayed
4. If "cpQuizInfoPointsscored"'s value < = 40 ; ie 80 % for chapter A
review of the failed questions in the chapter
OR
retake quiz for that chapter should be triggered,
else goto chapter B
5. Start the quiz for chapter B ( 10 questions)
3. score for chapter B should be displayed
5. If "cpQuizInfoPointsscored"'s value < = 40 ; ie 80 % for chapter B
review of the failed questions in the chapter

Agree totally with Rod, this can be done with advanced actions (have some examples on my blog), but it is a lot of work. And the Quizzing system variables such as cpQuizINfoPointsscored are all read only, no way to change them by advanced actions at all.
If you want to transfer variable values from one file to another, like from the different quiz files to a main file (to take decisions over there about possible branchings), you should have a look at Michael Lund's Save & Load Data widget:

I am working on Macromedia Flash 8 Quiz with 30 Questions.(The number of questions may increase in future)
Hindi Language is the National Language of India.
I need to input 30 Hindi Questions into the Macromedia Flash Quiz template.
I am trying to copy and paste the hindi text / questions (or any regional Indian languages in India for that matter) inside the component inspector parameters tab. I could not able to do it. Copy and pasting hindi text is converting to some english characters. So how to put the hindi text into the component inspector for creating hindi quiz in Macromedia Flash 8. What settings needs to be made. Please assist me in doing this.

Recently I migrated to Ubuntu, because I did not feel comfortable in using pirated software and I installed the macromedia suite 8 (Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash) with wine.
These softwares have been discontinued and no longer enjoy any assistance, not least because macromedia does not exist.
But the fact that Adobe have bought Macromedia, I think maybe he has rights to the products that were previously the macromedia.
It is impossible I can buy some new versions of Adobe CS6, they are extremely expensive.
Please, I would like someone from Adobe answered my question with clarity and objectivity:
- It's a crime to use a suite of macromedia 8 transferred to a download site with one free key ?
Ubuntu for me has been very poor and unproductive.
If is a crime to use the versions of macromedia 8, I think I'll have to buy a version of windows 7 and buy the software from the Microsoft Expression Studio.
They are very good and very cheap, byt adove is better. -
Creating a quiz in iMovie: Showing multiple still frames simultaneously
I am trying to create a short quiz in iMovie which involves choosing one of 4 video clips. After each of the clips has been played I want to show 4 still frames (one from each clip) together on screen. This will allow participants to see all their options at once, insted of relying on memory. I have the frames saved on my hard drive but cannot figure out how to create a four window display. Is there any way of doing this on iMovie HD? Or is it possible to make such a collage in iPhoto and then import it?

With iPhoto, just import your stills into iPhoto, then use the bottom-right 'magnify' slider to give yourself a 'four-up' view (..four photos onscreen together). Then hold down Shift and the Apple key and jab the '4' key to give you a set of cross-hairs, and hold down your mouse/trackpad button while you drag the cross-hairs over the four pics, then release the mouse button/trackpad.
That'll give you a .pdf file (..or .png file..) which you can view using Preview:
Optionally Export or Save As a .jpg and import it into iMovie - or just import it in its default format - where it'll appear as a 5-second still which you can add onto the end of your four clips.
Doing a similar thing with QuickTime, open individual QuickTime players, each with one of your chosen clips in. Arrange them into a rough 4x3 shape, and take a snapshot of the four together, using - as before - ShiftApple4 and drag the cross-hairs to cover all four:
If 'Ken Burns' is on, by default, in iMovie, any extra black edges will be trimmed off when you import the still which you created with ShiftApple4 ..or, if you turn OFF the Ken Burns effect before importing, any black edges will remain, so that you get the most of your four images. [..You'll get black edges if your overall composite of the four pics is not exactly the 4x3 ratio which iMovie normally expects..]
When you import into iMovie, your '4-up' pics should look like this:

I'm working on a CR 2008 Add-in.
Usage of this add-in is: Let the user choose from a list of predefined datasets, and create a totally empty report with this dataset attached to is. So the user can create a report based on this dataset.
I have a dataset in memory, and want to create a new report in cr2008.
The new report is a blank report (with no connection information).
If I set the ReportDocument.SetDataSource(Dataset dataSet) property, I get the error:
The report has no tables.
So I must programmatically define the table definition in my blank report.

How to create a group calendar?

i am sorry but this is one more question on wiki-group-calendars.
*In short:*
I am not able to create a group calendar with the wiki frontend. the calendar that is created with a wiki is owned by the admin of the wiki. So it is always a personal calendar that cannot be shared in iCal.
LONG:
I want to create a group calendar that is viewed and edited through iCal.app and the web service. Apple´s "wiki deployment" guide says on page 57:
+"The web calendar allows you to easily schedule events for yourself or your group. ...+
+There are *two types of web calendars: personal and group*. You can send and receive event invitations through the personal calendar but not through the group calendar. Also, *while anyone in a group can create or edit events in a group calendar*, you can edit only events in your own personal calendar or event invitations you send to other people.+

But there is not mentioned how to create a group calendar. The calendar created with the wiki web-frontend belongs to the admin of that particular wiki. This is why the calendar data ist stored in folder named with the UUID of the wiki admin. Also the alias "http://server.fqdn:8008/principals/groups/mygroupname/" which i provided in iCal turns into ..._uids_UUID-of-the-wiki-admin and only the wiki-admin can access this calendar in iCal.app.
My research on this topic reveals that there were in issue that should be resolved in 10.6.4 (that is running on our Server). So, again, how to create a group calendar?

You said "you need to go to the wiki page and add the wiki's there...." What is the "wiki page" you mention? Is that some place I go to via the browser or the Server Admin tool?
I went to http://ical.mysite.com/ical/ and logged in as the Directory Administrator but didn't see anything resembling what you described.

How to create a variant to a maintenance view (trans: SM31)
Hi gurus.
I have created a maintenance view (called z_jest). By running it from SM31 there is a variant option. However, I am not able to create the variant which I want to filter a selection upon in this transaction.
I have even looked into transaction SE54 and created a variant for the maintenance table view there( called z_jestv). Then going back to transaction SM31 and view z_jest, i push 'Variant' radiobutton and type as variant: 'z_jestv', I only get the message: "Variant z_jestv for object z_jest does not exist".
Can anybody please advice on how to create and/or connect the variant to the maintenance view?

When I look into the procedure, there is a prerequisite: "The basis dialog for which the maintenance variant is created already exists."
I am a little bit unsertain if I miss this 'Basic dialog'. Can you please advice on how to check / create this 'basic dialog' before I go on to create the variant. (I need this 'basic dialog' as input in the procedure you sent.)
(Note: I have already created a 'maintenance dialog' for the view, but I have a feeling, that is something different...)
