i want to ceate a software that will activate pulse generator instrument 90 milleseconds after i have activated power supply. i want to do it using labview software. thank you

In the Time and Dialog functions is a VI called Wait (ms). This VI waits the set number of ms before continuing. You may want to put it inside a single frame sequence to force data flow. (i.e. you have an error output from the previous function that you wire to the single frame sequence with the wait inside and then wire it out again to your next VI. This will force the "correct" execution order.)
If you are using Windoze, then you should be aware that there will be a certain variability in the timing due to Windoze multi-tasking (or at least what they call multi-tasking).

You don't. This software is for Windows. I assume you are running Mac OS X . Mac OS X is a different operating system from Windows.
Read the device's installation guide to find out if installing any software for this device is required under Mac OS X. If it is, it should also tell you how to obtain it. If you don't have the installation guide, go to the manufacturer's support site and download it from there.
If you do need to install Windows software, you should be able to run Windows on your Mac using BootCamp or a virtual machine such as Parallels.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
The new iMac hasn't got a SuperDrive to insert CDs and DVDs, so you can't install software from CDs and DVDs.
Instead, you have different ways to install the applications you have on DVDs:
1. Buy any external optical drive for your Mac and use it to install your applications.
2. If you have another PC or Mac, you can save the external optical drive cost and use Remote Disc > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5287?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US Note that this may be a bit slow

Baiscally the problem is that one comuter and one account has always been sued for eey persons itunes. Now if we want to be able to backup and use itunes on our own computers fro our iphones and such, how will all he data that is on our phones not be deleted once its plugged into a new computer? option discovered in preferences. Really this and any feature that moves deletes or edits a users data should as far as possible be OFF BY DEFAULT. It shouldn't by default and without the users specific say do this dangerous and unnecessary thing without even letting the user know what it's doing!!! And then cause me a few hours (as i'm new to mac) searching for the option so as to switch it off. If i hadn't noticed the status cage declaring that it was copying files then i might never have twigged that this insane thing was occurring. And if i hadn't of noticed i would have been left maintaining the contents of the folder i copied the files to, the folder which as far as i was informed and so believed was also the location of the music files i was playing. How does Apple justify this 'genius' piece of software non-design? Surely it will hurt no one if this was off by default for new users - overall at least i dare say it would cause a lot less distress in the future for the unsuspecting public at large. Well what happens is I bought the program. It gives you a button to click,
you log in and then a box opens up asking you to select the file, I go into
my filing system (in Windows explorer) select the file, and the program
converts it into docx, my choice. I can read it there and when I try to
copy and paste it into my file where the PDF version is saved, it behaves
like an "image", and I can't save it.... or it saves likes something you
save on the internet, so you have to go into internet every time you want
to see it. I have also pressed any amount of buttons to see if it will
give me the option to save it any other way, and have found nothing. What
I would need is a file in docx.format that I can edit. People send me
things in PDF and sometimes I can just copy it off the PDF file and save it
in WOrd, then I can translate it for them. But sometimes the PDF file
doesnt allow me to copy the text. If it is in image form, I cannot work on
it. It means printing it, so I can copy type it into Word... and for that
I certainly wouldnt need to buy a program. Its just double the work and
ends up that the job takes twice as long.!
Sorry if I am a bit dumb with informatics. But I simply could not find
any way whatever to copy the PDF file that was transformed into Word, in a
format that would enable me to edit it.

Can you create a template that has a header and footer to forms?

Yes but how are they going to create the Landscape versions?
The problem with doing it in Pages '09 as rotated content is that the Headers and Footers are not rotated and there is inherent clumsiness in the rotated content usually being too large for the page when viewed at 90°.
Best to make it in two or more separate documents.

Creating a PDF that has editable fields and replaceable images

I've been trying to figure out how I can create a PDF that has editable texts and replaceable images. I'm working for a company in which all computers only have Adobe Reader as means to view or edit a PDF file. So far I have managed to create a file that has editable text fields with customized appearance, which is great! The next step however was to create 'fields' that can be filled by an image. Is there a way to create replaceable images with LiveCycle or any other prorgram for that matter.
My goal is simple: Create a PDF that has editable textfields and replaceable images. All of which should be done in Adobe Reader.
I'm using Adobe Acrobat X Pro to create this file and I'm wondering if Live Cycle can help me with this problem, or if this is even possible to begin with. Thanks in advance.

Your goal is very simple with the LCD. You are have to use only an Image Field (important no Image) from the object library.
Any time you can click on it and select a new picture.

The problem is that I'd like to create a page that has all the necessary fields (name, host, port, etc) to create a database link just like the one in the SQL workshop - I'd prefer to have it done this way so as to limit the users from using SQL workshop. But i'd also like the DB Link tested before created.
I've tinkered around a bit and was able to create the database link using a page process that calls an execute immediate statement to add the database link using items in the form section, however I'm confused as to how I would test the connection before hand.

Hi,
You have the choice between xml or pdf, in later versions of designer you can choose with a dropdown on the email button Object palette, the "Submit As";
In earlier version you had to edit the XML Source and change the format from xml to pdf (or vice-versa);

If neither of the above and you don't have the CD and can't find your tracks on the computer then they you're stuck. A file recovery utility will cost $100, plus another $100 for an external drive to which to resue the files, and may not even work. You can buy a lot of CDs for $200.

PDF is a proprietary format and Java doesn't support it by default. Are you using a 3rd party tool to create the PDF? If so, you need to review the developer docs to see how to make the document non-editable. Frankly, I don't see why you're using an Applet to view a PDF in the first place. What exactly are you trying to do. I'm confused.
