Firstly you need to define your testing server environment. PHP/MySQL - or - Coldfusion/Oracle or whatever.
You will get a better response in the DW Application Development forum. This forum is devoted to Spry Widget Browser.
Jump over to the other form and explain the testing server environment you need.

Login into the Configtool(C:\usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS<inst no>\j2ee\configtool) if ABAP+JAVA stack or C:\usr\sap\SID\JC<inst no>\j2ee\configtool) if JAVA stack
click on the instance and and select the addserver button on the top to create a servernode for J2EE server.

In solar01 you have defined but you have to assign the test case in solar02 for this test case in the test cases tab.
When you do so expand the business sceanario node in test plan generation of STWB_2 transaction and now that will appear.

In the DNS Name field enter the host name(s) separated by spaces (or commas), e.g.
myserver.name.private myserver.dyndns.org
You can enter your local IP if you wish.

Certificate Assistant now procedes to create your certificate. Within a few seconds you should see the new certificate in your Keychain.
Switch to Server App (if at this stage Server App has crashed, don't worry , re-open Server App and proceed.
Repeat step 2 described in Part 1 and select the new certificate from the drop-down menu of available certificates.
You may want to use this certificate for all services (iChat, iCal, Mail, Web) or create different ones.
If you use the same certificate for all services the name of the certificate is diplayed next to "SSL Certificate", if you don't you will see "Custom" instead.
Addendum:
1. Do not forget to open port 443 in your router to enable https connections.
2. Enable SSL in your iCal account settings if you wish.

There are 2 products in Oracle you can use to link to a MS SQl Server. The first one is for free and it is called Database Gateway for ODBC. With a suitable 3rd party ODBC driver you can connect to any foreign database. The second gateway is our commercial gateway and it is called Oracle Database Gateway for MS SQL Server. It is designed for MS SQl Server connections and more powerful then Dg4ODBC. It know how to map a lot of Oracle functions to SQL Server equivalents and you can also use it to directly call SQL Server procedures or functions. This dedicated SQL server gateway is also able to participate in distributed transactions.
But again, this is a commercial gateway and you have to purchase a license for that second gateway, the Database Gateway for MS SQl Server.

Creating a Testing Server

I am using an Apple Mac and Dream Weaver. I need to use PHP within HTML files. While I have the Dream Weaver site working with ipage.com, I am having a difficult time setting up a local test server. I have installed MAMP and have the Apache and Mysql servers running. My DreamWeaver file is stored as
User/rnharri/Documents/Sites/S/D/test.php. When I configure the site I created
Servername: =localtest
Connect using: Local/Network
Server Folder: /Users/rnharri/Documents/Sites/s/d
Web URL: http://localhost/s/d
At first I got "can not find file:" now every time I run the file it it guides me thorugh setting up a local server and executes the HTML code but ignore the PHP code.
Can anyone tell me exactly what the Web URL: should include and how I can test on my mac to make sure the directories are what I am specifying.

MAMP defaults to Applications/MAMP/htdocs folder and considers this as localhost, unless otherwise you've changed the setting.
You may want to create your site folder within /htdocs and then configure the definition in Dreamweaver. This way, your site will be localhost/s/d and your file path will be htdocs/s/d.
I use MAMP PRO. But, the setting is more or less similar for MAMP (free version) too.
Notice 'Disk Location'. You can change this to your Documents/Sites folder if you prefer working with files from there. Then, restart MAMP. localhost will now point to Documents/Sites folder instead of MAMP/htdocs.

I would like to create a dynamic newsflash using dreamweaver and PHP in that the newsflash will be pulling information from a MySQL database. The newsflash should also have a link to view more information about the piece of news a user wants to know more about. Which tools do I need to use in dreamweaver and how's the procedure to go about that. Any advice is highly appreciated. Thanx in advance!

I think you´ll need at least a MySQL table with the following columns:
- id (primary key, int, auto_increment etc)
- news_headline (varchar)
- news_teaser (text)
- news_content (text)
What I´d personally add are columns such as:
- news_date (date or datetime)
- news_external_link (varchar), if a "read more..." link is supposed to navigate to an external URL rather than displaying the contens of the "news_contents" column.
Based on such a MySQL table it should be easy to use Dreamweavers standard Server Behaviors to create the usual datalist.php, insert.php, update.php and delete.php documents, and there are numerous tutorials out there which will teach you how to do that.
Am I right when assuming that you´ll also need to know how to automatically pull, say, the 5 most recent news records from the database ?

I am using WL Workshop 7.0.2. and Java 1.4. Could anyone pls tell me how to create
my own test form like in Workshop.
Is it possible to have a HTML client without any java class or JSP in between
the HTML form and the webservices(jws). In workshop I know that knexServlet is
somehow resposible for creating the test form in work shop.
Any example which has used webservices created by workshop and has a HTML form
has a client.
Any HELP will be greatly appreciated.
