How to create a transport request with query and only with its structure.

how to create a transport request with query and only with its structure.transport request should not include any other query items like ( variables, conditions...etc)

Hi,
Goto RSA1 and then Transport Connection -> In SAP Transports select Object Types-> Query Elements -> Then select Query->Give Technical name of the query and then select for transfer. In the right side you can choose the components which you wanted to transport.

Hi vasmi,
Go to tcode PFCG.
enter the role name
click on menu role->transport.
and then execute and click on all the checkbox and then it will ask for the request ....and then u can transport it.

Doesn't make sense to create Transport number in SM36, where it meant for scheduling the batch jobs.
I would rather suggest you to create in SE09 -> Creaet (F6) or
while doing the config ->save the config-> create new req
Please voice out if you really have other requirement to have this.

How to create second transport request for same programe

I created workbench transport request. The changes are done and still in development system.
Now I have to do another change on the same program that has to be in different transport request,
but whenever I change something, and activate it, the changes are saved in first transport. How I can
create another transport request for the same program without releasing the first one.

Ask your basis team to provide you with a "Transport of Copies" request.
Once you get it, add your object in this request and transport. your object will be transported and the original request will not be released. Do note that the changes will still be saved in the original request but you can still transport your object without releasing the original request.

How to create locked Transport Request

Hi All,
I have a requirement where I want to create a transport request that cannot be released to any other system i.e, locked transport. I need this transport to create a package to put my works related to a local tool that I want to create in the development server. This is an internal tool and need not be released to any other system. Please help in creating this transport.
Any help in this will be highly appreciated and rewarded.

Instead of creating some "locked transport request" you can create your developments, that you don't want to be transported, as "local objects" (package / development class: $TMP). You decide about this when the system asks you for the assignment to the development class (package).
In this case the system will not put these objects to any transport request - they will stay on your development system.

Hi,
Usually when you try to transport the object, the popup for TR at the heading shows which type of TR is required.
All the objects other than like customizing related objects like tables can be transported using workbench TR.
objects which are in $TEM development class are not able to Transport. so you need to change to user defined development class then you can transport.

Hi Satyam,
Include the Dropdown Box web item in your web template. In the Web Item Parameters tab, select the Data Binding type as Query View Selection. Assign the Dataprovider from Selection of Query Views button below the Data Binding Type. You also have the option to Display Specific list of Query Views or all views based on that Query. For this you have to choose Selection of Query Views button. Here you can turn on Specific List of Query Views checkbox and select the Views depending on your requirement.

I have create a table that can be maintained by sm30 in development system. How can I configure this table, so user can maintain this in development system only and create a customizing transport request to transport all data in this dev table to production.

Shekhar has given you the right answer. With the standard recording routine switched on you will be prompted everytime you save changes via SM30.
Have you re-generated the maintenance dialog since setting this flag?
Or, perhaps the client you are testing in does not have the automatic recording switched on (check in transaction SCC4, should have the setting Automatic recording of changes for your client).

How to create a Year to Date Query when only Monthly values are in the data

Hi SDN community,
Is it possible to create a query by dragging in the fiscal year period characteristic , and any other required characteristics in the rows,
and then use functionality to have columns of data that add up the previous periods.
ex. the month of sept, = Jul + aug + sep
i basically want to see 12 columns of Actuals,
and then a trend line, to add up those columns.
If we load up the data with a YTD time variant out of the system and load, then this is fine, but can we do it with the query and how.

-->Create a formula on the key fig.
NoDim(<Key Fig Name>)
-->in Property of that formula, in Calculation Tab
-->Check the Cumulative Property
-->Select Either Along Rows or Along Columns as per your requirement

How to store data from a complex query and only fresh hourly or daily?

We have a report which runs quite slow (1-2 minutes) because the query is quite complicate, so we would like to run this query daily only and store in a table so for those procedures that need to use this complex query as a subquery, can just join to this table directly to get results.
However, I am not sure what kind of object I should use to store data for this complex query. Is data in global temp table only persist within transaction? I need something that can persist the data and be access by procedures.

Thank you for your reply. I looked at the materialized view earlier on, but have some difficulties to use it. So I have some questions here:
1.The complex query is not a sum or aggregate functions, it just need to get data from different tables based on different conditions, in this case is it still appropriate to use meterialized view?
2.If it is, I created one, but how to use it in my procedure? From the articles I read, it seems I can't just query from this view directly. So do I need to keep the complex query in my procedure and how the procedure will use the meterialized view instead?
3. I also put the complex query in a normal view, then create a materialized view for this normal view (I expect the data from the complex query will be cache here), then in the procedure I just select * from my_NormalView, but it takes the same time to run even when I set the QUERY_REWRITE_ENABLED to true in the alter session. So I am not sure what else I need to do to make sure the procedure use the materialized view instead of the normal view. Can I query from the Materialized View directly?
Below in the code I copied from one of the article to create the materialized view based on my normal view:

Yes, the request is in change mode only, but still when I reach the window where the table contects are visible at the time of clicking on "Entire table", the 'save' button is inactive.
Please let me know the procedure to save the request.
When I go back to the previous screen and 'save' there, there are 2 sets of informations
"Note: ZHR_PP_FACTOR is an application table".
and
"Object ZHR_PP_FACTOR has object function 'K' but no key".

but u cant split one requet in to , u can assign task from one request to another

How to delete the Transport Request?

Hi all,
I want to delete the Transoport Request from Production Box( we have 2 request number... one child another one parent). I released the Child Request. Now i want to delete that request. we don't have setup in our production Box i think(in order to release that we don't have setup in Production Box).
Any Idea? I know how to delete that Transport Request. If i try to release that i'm getting TP(Transport Profile error) <b>with return Code 12</b>. it suppose to handle by Basis. My basis consultant is not aware of how to work on this?

I am not sure I understand.
You release the request in the system you created, not in another system (in your case production). It will then go to the import queue of the target system.
Transports will be configured in all the systems in your landscape (including production).
Just by releasing a request, it will not go to the target (unless it is configured so, not likely if the target is production), someone has to import it into the target. I assume you do not want this request to go to target. In this case, release it, then go to STMS, import queue, and delete it from there.
Added -
I now see that the request is in production.
Igore the above in that case.
If you are not able to release it, let it be. If you are doing an upgrade/support pack, you will need to release it.
When you try to delete, what message do you get?

I tried to delete them in SE10, I am getting message that the objects are locked. Hi,
First go to transaction se03 Choose "Unlock Objects (Expert Tool)" option under "Requests/Tasks" and unlock your task,
Than go to se10 and delete what you want.
