How to create a WEB client in EJB module in NB 4.1 ?

hi
I am using SUN AS and NB 4.1
I want to invoke a WS from an EJB. For some reason NB 4.1 doesn't allow me to create a WS client. Why ?

netbeans forum may prove to be more useful because
this seems to be a netbeans specific problem; an EJB
can be a WS client and this works as is evident with
the Adventure Builder sample app from blueprintsI generated WS stub manually without NB 4.1.

Read the new JSP1.1 and servlet 2.2 specific for more information on
          this. You can deploy several jsp files in a single war file on a server.

Steps to follow to create WAD in WEB Template in 3.5 or 7.0 u2026u2026..
Go to All programs and select your web application designer
Select the button to create a new page in WAD
Select the chart and place in the layout
Next goto Data provider Target and select your query
Give your report name in the given data provider screen
Select your query in History/find/Favourites/Infoareas button
Select your query in this screen and click OPEN
Now we can see the data provider is assigned to the chart.
To edit the chart you have to right click on the chart
After right click on it we will find another screen where we can edit all the settings
In this screen we can find NEXT click button to change our settings
In this screen we can state the tasks (Title, units, values, range)
In this screen we can change our background /validity/color
In this screen we can add values to the chart
In this screen we can add validity/positions/order/axis types to the chart
In this screen we can change the global settings/and overview of the chart.
This screen shows that we have customized the chart successfully
After successful creation of the chart we have to save the chart
Save your chart in your favorites by giving the description and technical name in the given block.
Now execute your WAD by selecting the execute button

Using the BEx Web Application Designer, you can create an HTML page that contains contents such as various tables, charts or maps. I want to create a user enrollment template it Web ADI so that I can send the form to the client and they will just fillup the spreadsheet with all the users they want to add to the system then load it using Web Adi.

i tried to create a web services with a default constructor and another that takes few arguments, no matter
what i do I couldn't call the non default constructor from the client! how can I pass my arguments in the constructor? worse yet, I tried to pass my arguments to another exposed WebMethod, guess what? the public or private variables i'm trying to update,
do not get updated, what gives? any documentation on how to use web services? i'm pretty newbie at this. thanks

Hi Kaushik,
You can add the existing zip file into your workspace by the following way -
First open the NWDS and create a new project by clicking file -> new -> Project -> Simple -> Project
and then File -> Import -> zipfile and then browse the zip file into the newly created project.
or else you can also unzip the zip file into a folder and then Use the option of Import an exisitng project into workspace. You can find this in the File-> import -> Existing project into workspace. and then use the Browse option to browse to the existing folder.
After importing the project you need to rebuild the project

You could deploy your EJB or Java under a web service into your OC4J, after that, you invoke a partnerlink from BPEL to the destination of wsdl will do. Also don't forget to add in your XSD schema as well.

Hi,
Using the workbench, when I try to create a web service from an existing WSDL, the workbench automatically uses JAX-WS.
JAX-WS does not offer support for asynchronous web services, since it supports only HTTP ports (@WLJmsTransport does not work).
Request your help in resolving this issue. One way is to use JAX-RPC but I do not know how to configure the workbench to use JAX-RPC instead of JAX-WS.

How to create a web app list which is divided by months

Hi,
I'm trying to create a list of calendar events similar to the one on this site 2015 Event Schedule - g20.org but not as complicated, as I don't need any animation, just to list but have the months as section headers.
I presume I can start of by creating a web app with the bespoke fields that I need, and it can be weighted by the date that I set within the app? The only thing that I'm not quite working out is how to get the months to display, would it be a matter of creating classifications for the months? That sounds as if it may become to over complicated.

How to create a web version of XFA forms

I have created a few dynamic XFA form using Livecycle designer. They work great and is getting quite popular amoung our users. But the problem with these forms are:
a) A lot of user using Mac are having problem opening it from their Safari browser. Its a common problem and I get tired of troubleshooting a lot users asking the same questions over and over again.
b) A lot of users are now preferring to use it on ipads and tablets and there is simply no way to open these forms in tablets.
I was looking for other solutions and the only method I can think of would be to render a html version of these forms in the browser and then generate the pdf file in the end after the user have completing filling it in. I have been searching on the internet and I still havent figured out how will I go about with this.
Can someone please guide me and show me the way on were do I get started and how can I create a web version of these forms and then export the completed form in pdf?? Is there a tutorial video on this somewhere in adobe tv or youtube? Please go easy with the technical terms since my level of knowledge is still a beginner.

I will have a look at the LiveCycle Forms server product. I wonder how much they cost. I couldnt find the price there. Also I wonder if it works on Livecycle Designer ES (since I havent got ES2 or ES3 yet).
If I was to create a standard HTML form and then process the data into XML, how do I later import it into the pdf? If there any tutorial on the web where I can learn how to do this?

HPUX 11i w/ iPlanet Web Server 4.1
Is it possible to create a "Web Share" in iPlanet ? This can be easily done in IIS but I am having problems getting it to work with iPlanet. Basically, what I need to do is map a folder using "My Network Places\Add Network Places" in Windows XP.
I can see the folder I have created in IE. URL: http:/servername/swift
Whenever I try to map the directory in XP I get the error message "The folder you have entered does not appear to be valid".
- I have enabled "Remote File Manipulation" on directory /opt/iplanet/swiftdocs/swift.
- My primary document directory is /opt/iplanet/swiftdocs/
- Owner of both dirs is "webuser"
Maybe this isn't the purpose of this feature. Please let me know if I should be looking into something else.

Are you asking whether simply enabling SSL (https) will allow you to map a directory without using WebDAV? The answer to that would be no. SSL is orthogonal to publishing.
Or, are you asking whether Microsoft's WebDAV client can work with SSL? Some versions certainly can. I'm not thoroughly versed in Microsoft Web Folders/Microsoft WebDAV min-redirector bugs, though, so it's possible there are issues with specific versions.
