How to create a working day/holiday attribute in Time Dimension with OWB ?

Hello everybody,
I am trying with no success to create a Time Dimension (with the wizard it would be easier...) with a working day or holiday attribute (0 or 1) to be able to calculate measures only on working time !!! I am totally sure it's possible, obviously, but I found nothing on forums... Could you help me ??
I use OWB 11g, I need all fiscal year/quarter/month/week and all calendar year/quarter/month/week attributes so without any wizard it would be quite impossible... thank you for your help !
NB: of course I know how to define if a day is a working one or not, but I currently can't add any columns in Time dim created with wizard...

First of all, thanks everyone for your help.
I did several tests this morning.
First of all, i've tried with time_from = 000000 and time_to = 235959 (23:59:59 CET) and the activity has been created with Time From = 04:00:00 and Time To = 03:59:59
Strange no ??
I've also tried with 230000 for time from and time to but the activity has been created with Time From = 03:00:00 and Time to = 03:00:00
I cannot understand the logic behind....

I am using the latest report generation toolkit and want to add links on the first worksheet pointing to the other worksheets in the same document.
I am using the "Append Hypertext Link Anchor to Report" VI. The links are created, but don't work when clicking them.

It's hard to understand why NI did not pass this parameter to the top of the call chain...
I also needed some time to understand the syntax of the string passed to the subaddress node:
The name of the worksheet needs to be framed by single quotation marks and the following cell address must preceeded by an exclamation point (!).
A working link pointing to cell "A1" of "Worksheet 1" looks like:
'Worksheet 1'!A1
Maybe also of interest: If you want to point the link to a worksheet inside the document itself, the parameter "address" (URL of link - href) can be left empty.

Hi,
In addition to the above post, you need to identify that:
1. Whether you need separate activity types and cost center for the newly created work center. These details are entered in the Costing View of the Work Center.
If these are required then use KL01 to create new activity, KP26 to define the activity price.
If required create cost element using T Code KA01 and Cost Center using KS01.
Take help from the CO guy on this.
2. Also you need to ask the concerned about the operating times for the wor center. That is Start time and End time of WC. It is used for capacity evaluation and scheduling of the orders. It is maintained in the capacity view (Bottom left Button in the view).
this view will also contain the details regarding the calendar, to be assigned to the work center, if needed. Collect details for this requirement. Also you can assign a different calendar to WC apart from factory calendar.
3. Find out whether this WC will be operating in shifts or not. Accordingly maintain the details.

If you are creating a new holiday and assigning it in the existing holiday calender which is being used in Work Schdule Rule. In such case you need to Change(regenerate) the work schedule. Otherwise, new holiday would not be taken into account.
There is no need to update the monthly average working hours.

How to create a working SaveAsDoc command

Hi Everybody,
I need to create a SaveAs command to save converted document (from previous versions to CS5) without any user intervention.
Unfortunately all the utility functions like IDocFileHandler, IDocumentUtils, etc. don't work or miss the saveAs command completely or in part.
I'd like to create a command using the usual way like:
InterfacePtr<ICommand> saveAsCommand(CmdUtils::CreateCommand(kSaveAsDocCmdBoss));
It works but I don't know what parameter I need to pass to the command object.
May any of yout poin me out on where to find the right information?
Is there any class for the SaveAs command data like for many other commands? (for example IID_IRECOVERDOCUMENTCMDDATA for
the command kRecoverDocumentCmdBoss).
Some of you may wonder why I need to create a SaveAs command when there is plenty of helper functionalities to achieve that. Well, it seems
that all the functionalities I know don't work (crash) in my specific situation. :-\

I was going to infer the right parameters from other commands using same parameters but your reply speeded-up my work.
About the boolean flag, accordingly with SaveAs command defined in IDocFileHandler interface it may be this: bool8 asStationery.
As happens with Save command, also SaveAs command doesn't crash if I avoid to use IDocFileHandler, IDocumentCommands or
any other helper interface.
Take present this code runs inside a cooperative thread from IIdleTask::RunThread().
Here is an excerpt from my code which seems to work fine:

How to create an image banner that slides left to right with mouseover?

I need to create a web banner like the one on the following site: www.gracelandbaptist.org. I have been unabe to find anything on how to create such a banner. I believe it was created in flash but am not sure. I want my banner to work in the same fashion so that as the mouse is moved from left to right the banner will slide appropriately. Its possible that some java script might also have been used with flash. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be most grateful. Thank you.

It is a Flash design and is unlikely javascript is involved with the interaction. There are probably a couple of ways to approach such a design, but if you have no experience with Flash, you will probably struggle to create it. The basics involve place the different images in a movieclip and controlling the horizontal position of that movieclip based on mouse interaction/position. THe position controls are based on what values are needed to have a particular section of the movieclip occupy the main section of the viewing area. Actionscript Tweens are probably employed to manage the position transitions.

How to create new OC4J instance in AS 10.1.3 with BC4J- and ADF-Libraries

I have done all the steps mentioned in this thread:

However, the new created OC4J instance obviously misses some libraries. If I deploy my Application to this OC4J I get an internal error: Class not found: oracle.jbo.JboException.
The same Application runs well in the "home" Instance.
What is the trick, to create a new OC4J instance, which more or less behaves the same way as the "home" instances (and especially has all the same libraries)?

I encountered this last month. I definitely agree that it is a glaring omission to not have "Create Like" functionality when instantiating new containers. Here's my notes on the manual steps required after using createinstance to create the fresh container. Not too bad. I've been deploying ADF applications to the new container with no problems after this.

The default (home) OC4J container is pre-configured for ADF 10.1.3 applications; however, when $ORACLE_HOME/bin/createinstance is used to create additional containers, these containers are not configured automatically to host ADF 10.1.3 applications.
I followed these manual steps:
1. $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/config/server.xml defines three shared libraries that "install" the needed JARs for Oracle ADF applications in your application server instance (container). Note that "install" does not necessarily mean available to applications (see Step 2).     I find photoshop has some modal dialog have this function, such as the dialog of Customize Proof Condition and the dialog of Color Settings. Are these dialogs not modal dialog?

The whole point of a modal dialog is that you cannot interact with other things while it is active.
And Photoshop does not support plugins accessing the rest of Photoshop while any plugin UI is active.

You can use a CASE expression to return one thing for Sundays, and something else for every other day, like this:

If you're asking about a DML statement, such as INSERT, the sample data will be the contents of the table(s) before the DML, and the results will be state of the changed table(s) when everything is finished.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
Always say which version of Oracle you're using.

TIME_DSO_1 attribute in Time Dimension

Hi,
We are using Oracle Analytic Workspace Manager version 10.2.0.3.0A for creating a cube.
We have defined a dimension as "Time" dimension and have also specified the dimension type as "Time".
This dimension has the levels: Year, Quarter, Month, Week and Day. These levels are for the one and only hierarchy of the Time dimension.
The attributes of the dimension (applicable to all the levels) are: END_DATE, LONG_DESCRIPTION, SHORT_DESCRIPTION, and TIME_SPAN.
In this structure, we are having a strange observation : During the process of defining this TIME dimension, there were some problems with the machine (it got hanged) and so we had to exit (kill) the AWM and come in again. When we logged in to AWM again, we could see a new attribute called TIME_DSO_1 defined within the Time dimension by itself.
Can anyone let us know what is this attribute all about ? And can we go ahead and just delete this from our dimension structure without creating problems for ourselves?

I can't say that I really understand how your data shows up, but I do see an error in your hierarchy.
What you should do is split it up into two hierarchies.
Year-> Quarter-> Month-> Day
and
Year-> Week-> Day
And here is the reason:
A day can easily have a week as a parent and month. But week cannot. Since a month can end on any given day in a week, that means that a week can have two parents. If I take the next week as an example. Mon, tue, wed, thu and fri would belong to the august month, while the rest of the week would belong to september. But the entire week would still be week 35. And its the same issue with quarter. Months can be added into a quarter, but weeks can not.
Now, I'm not sure if this would solve all your problems, but there might be a few other things you might check out and thats what ID's you populate your member fields with.
say that you have used the month numbers (or at least the same id for every january and so on)to populate your months. If that is the case things will also behave extremely weird and slow. What you need to do is to create unique IDs for every month (and any other level) so that you are sure that january 2007 don't have any child records that really should belong to january 2006.
As a general rule, the member field needs to contain a completely unique value across on from all levels. The "generate surrogate key" functionality helps you a bit along the way as it adds the name of your level in front of the value that you load. If the values you load doesn't have unique values within the level it won't help you any.

Correctly configuring attributes of time dimension

I have a time dimension(simplified one).
It consists of
DateKey int
Date DateTime
MonthName Text
MonthVal Date (1st day of month)
The dimension processes correctly if I don't have the Month ValueCol attribute set to "monthVal", but if I set it I get a "Duplicate keys" error. As the grain of the dimension is day, there is obviously going to be duplicates in the MonthVal
column.
In this case, how do I set the monthValue property without experiencing a processing error due to duplicate keys?
