How to create an activity bar in Form?

Hi all:
I am using Developer 6i with Oracle 9i.
I have developed a form, the form consists different button thru which I am calling different packages for different tasks. When user click any button e.g. "Generate Over time" for the current month, the package executed and insert data into a temp table after processing. during the execution system does not show any thing, I want to add an activity bar which will show the percentage of work done and fill the text box with any color.
How is it possible?

Hi ,
I assume something like a PJC which contains a progress bar object , developed in JDeveloper, would fulfill your requirement....!!!!
Unfortunately....there is not such an object in Developer Forms....

Y cant u have a text item, ENABLED before the that C code with DEFAULT value 'Pleae wait....' and even u could have cursor style also set to BUSY.. then after process DISABLE the text item and bring back cursor style to DEFAULT.

Thanks all for your suggestion.
Our requirement, is we need to have a user defined field similar to how its there in "Organisation".
For example we need to create an user defined field like "Service Holding" which holds different services say like Service 1, Service 2, Service 3 etc.
Under each service there are multiple roles....
Eg:
Service 1 - Role 1, Role 2, Role 3
Service 2 - Role 4, Role 5
Service 3 - Role 6, Role 7, Role 8
Is there a way to store multi-valued attribute in OIM UDF? If so, pls. guide us
If its not possible we would need to create a Lookup field (something similar to Organization or Manager). User clicks on the button (lens button), which should invoke an API wherein he can select specific Roles and save in User. Eg. like Service 1 - Role 1#Service 2 # Role 5 and store in the backend database.
Is this possible. Pls. guide.

I used this function module to create activity with the doc flow in my case successfully.
CALL FUNCTION 'CRMXIF_ORDER_SAVE'
    EXPORTING
      data   = lt_contract
    IMPORTING
      return = lt_return.

I will appreciate if somebody knows how to create 2 scroll bars in 2 Content canvases and all items text item belongs to one data block.
In data block property it shows only one scroll bar. Their is no property of scroll bar in canvas.

Go to the layout editor.
Take the Stacked canvas tool in the toolbox
draw a stacked canvas on the content canvas (the stacked can could be larger than the content one)
edit you item properties to display on the content canvas
adjust the window to the same width and weight properties than the content canvas.
The simplest way it to use the datablock wizard to create the data block, then indicate to show items not on the content canvas but the stacked canvas.

I'm used to work with a similar program as Muse. In there we can create a single button and link them together into a navigation bar. I have tried all sorts of tutorials but none of them is discussing this possibility.

No, not really. I used to work with XARA up till now. And being an Adobe Cloud user I think it a bit silly using two different systems. In XARA I can create a custom button and turn them into a navbar. For your information I include a few links to sites I created with Xara and I would like to know if I can create the same type of navbars with Abobe Muse. I already found out that all the other functions are available and some work a lot better in Muse, but I’m stuck on the navbar issue. I know I can create a button in Adobe PS and use it in Muse. But I didn’t manage to figure out how to create a navbar in Muse on basis of a button created in PS.

How to create an activity when system finds duplicate record!!

Hi CRM Experts,
I am working on CRM 5.0. We are uploading contact details to CRM through ELM.
Here My queries are:
1) How to create An Activity when system finds duplicate record?
2) By using ELM we can create BP with Activities and BP with Leads. But Here, my scenario is we have to Create BP with leads and Acivities. can any one help me on these areas?

I can help you with your first query.
When the system finds a duplicate record then either the system stops working further or proceeds with the error free record.
So once the duplicate entry is found only the first record will be considered and not the second or the duplicate record.

I fear there is no direct solution.
May be this is a work-around:
1. Apply the older built-in: Display_item. You can't disable the item with display_item, but you can change the visual attribute and show the user that this item should not be checked.
2. To be shure that the user doesn't ignore this "disable", you need a trigger, which resets the item to the proper value after an illegal change.
