How to create an autoplay slideshow in InDesign

Hi, I would like to create a banner in InDesign with transitions and export as swf file, but I would like it to autoplay on load instead of having people navigate from page to page.
Is it possible to create an autoplay action within InDesign?
Thank you

I have the same question, but I'm afraid there's no such setting in CS5.5. It would make a good feature, so you will be able to make stand-alone flash web banners without having to use - or know how to work with Flash Pro.
I tried something wit the Timing window, but I was not able to work out the simple sequence that I had in mind.
If somebody has an idea I'd be happy to know about it!

In iPhoto select photos and use the the command "File > New > Slideshow".
Optionally drag more photos to the Slideshow album.
Click the "Themes" button and select the "Origami" theme.

  • How to create a photo slideshow in imovie 11

describe how to create a 200 photo slideshow from the start using imovie 11 with titles, transitions and music and then burn it to a dvd

iMovie is to edit movies; creating a slideshow is easier in iPhoto. When finished, you can then move it to iMovie or iDVD to create a cool menu/theme and burn it.

  • How to create a Photo slideshow to the beat of the Music?

How do I create an upbeat slideshow where each picture changes right at the beat of the music?   I know how to add markers and insert my photos one my one, but is there an easier more effective way to do this?  It is very difficult to try to just listen to the music and guess where the beats are, I wish there was a sure way to know where the beat of the music is.  Once you even have all the markers placed, is there a way to insert all the photos at once right where the markers are?  I have been researching and trying to do this for the past few days, and feel like there must be a better way to do it.  Any advice would be appreciated.

  • How to create an iDVD slideshow from an iPhoto book

    Hello,
I created a book in iPhoto and would like to create a DVD of the book.  I'm using iDVD 7.1.2 and iPhoto 9.5.1.  Is this still a possibility?
    Thanks in advance
    Scott Lorigan

This tutorial should help: iP05 - Creating an iDVD Slideshow From an iPhoto Book.
Follow this workflow in iDVD to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

  • How to create a photo slideshow in my movie

    Hello all,
Im woking on my first movie with Premier Elements 12 and I can not figure out how to include a slideshow of pictures at the end of my movie.
Of course I can drag the photos on the timeline and use trancients in between but there is nothing I can do with the picture like editting/cut parts off, make them black/white and use movement effects for example.
Isnt this an option/included in Premiere lements 12 ?
I just bought the software but also played around with the trial of Cyberlink Powerdirector which has this handy magic function to select all pictures at once and create different/random trancirents and effects and pictures could be editted also.
This is what Im after but I can not find how to do this stuff in Premiere lements 12.
Hope someone can help me out.
    Thatnks in advance

    AlexSan
Do you have Photoshop Elements 12 as well as Premiere Elements 12?
What is this "movie" that the photo slideshow is going to be at the end of? A video? If so, what are the
properties of that video...video and audio compressions, frame size, frame rate, interlaced or progressive, file extension, pixel aspect ratio?
What is your intended final product...DVD-VIDEO standard or widescreen on DVD disc, AVCHD on DVD disc, or Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc?
With the above information, I will suggest some approaches that you might want to look into.
    Thanks.

  • How to create a book (Diplomawork) with InDesign

    Hi all
I will finish a very important diploma at the end of October. I am wondering how I can create a 'book' with InDesign?
It should just be like a normal book with Summary, Glossary, and so on. If this is possible with InDesign, how can I do that?
Will I first need to finish the document with word and then 'just copy paste' or is it possible to write it in InDesign with a dynamic
    summary and all that?
    Thanks for your appreciated feedback,
    Regards
    Fabrice

    Dear DerekC1000
totally agree with you I know that it is a fantastic application. I'm IT and I know Dreamweaver and Fireworks from the past. Great software. But in oder to deep my knowledge I would like to start with e.g. a good think just like my Deplomawork.
At the end is must lust like this and I'm sure that InDesign ist just right for that. I'm also sure that for the final printing I must take care of 100drets of things regarding the formatting or the documents. And here my quistions start. At the end it should look just similar to something like that (fotos below).
Could you guide me a little?
    Cheers

  • Index - How to create an index for multiple InDesign files?

    Hi everyone,
I'm using InDesign CS2 to create a 250 page catalogue. Most of it is finished now, and I've come to creating the index.
The catalogue is spread over about 10 InDesign files. How do I create an index for this? No paragraph styles were set up when it was started, but there are character styles.
I've done some searching - does it need to be booked so I Can index? And can I book it without paragraph styles?
(I've only been using InDesign for about a year, mostly self taught.)
    Thanks in advance :)
    Naomi

Creating a book from your files should be no problem at all. ID does
    i not
synchronize styles across documents -- unless you order it to! (That's what the checkboxes at the left of the book documents are for. Do Not Use, in your case.)
The Index function itself is book-savvy, but you might want to search this forum for a few recurring problems.

  • How to create a fillable PDF from InDesign?

    Hi everybody!
Hope there's no thread about that... by the way. I have to create a fillable PDF from a InDesign file.
I try to explain: with ID I'd create a file with text form, tables, images with text forms on them etc.... Now I have to export that in PDF and I want to transform the forms (sorry for the bad english, I'm italian) in fillable ones in PDF. How can I do it?
    Thanks to everyone!
    Dario

Export the ID file as an Interactive PDF.
Open the PDF form in Acrobat XI  and then:
File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (includes for fill-in & save). . . Your users will be able to fill in the form and save it (assuming they have the later versions of Acrobat Reader).
Make sure you keep a copy of your original PDF with a different file name as once you've created a Reader Enabled PDF Form you can't change it.

  • OK I'm still confused on how to create a 2006 slideshow

    Happy New Year All,
I'm trying to create a slideshow of about 400 photos from my iPhoto library. I would like to just click on one chapter button to start the slideshow, but would like to break up the slideshow into several sections with different music playing to reflect the mood of the pictures. Is there a simple way to do this, or should I be using iMovie to make a movie and then burn it to DVD? I was hoping this would be easy in iDVD as it seems that iMovie takes considerable time to accomplish this task. Especially when you add transitions and the like. I've found that rendering these types of actions can take a very long time in iMovie.
    Thanks for the help
    iMac G5, 1.0 GB, 250 GB Hard Drive,   Mac OS X (10.4)

I've only used iDVD a couple of times to create a slide show and was frustrated by the limited options of adding movies and transitions for various sections. So I reverted to creating an iMovie with the stills. A couple of notes that made it easier for me...
    1. You can make the default time to display a pic constant so that when you import them they all have the same duration.
    2. If you highlight a selection of photos on the timeline, you can select a transition that will apply to all.
    3. The big advantage is that you can add music and edit the length to fit your slides.
I think the biggest advantage of the slide show function in iDVD is that it is fast and easy, but at the cost of flexibility in transitions, etc. And there may be a limitation on number of slides you can put into the iDVD project. But making the slide show in iMovie is not that hard.
Maybe other users have more insight into the capabilities of iDVD and slide shows.

  • How to create a video slideshow in Adobe Muse

    Hello there,
I'm new to Muse and have a general question about creating a slideshow using videos instead of images.  More specifically, if my videos live on an external site (youtube or vimeo, for example).  In an ideal situation, I will see thumbnails of each video within the Slideshow grid.  When one is clicked, the go into Slideshow mode and the video starts playing.  'Next' or 'Previous' buttons act as navigation to play other videos.  Really, I'd like the Slideshow widget to do exactly what it does with images, just with videos.
    Thoughts?
I'm running the latest version of Muse CC on a beefed out Mac with Snow Leopard.
    Thanks in advance,
    Matt

    Hello,
You can try the following work around with composition:-
    1) Add a you tube video to the page.
    2) Drag the video to the target of composition widget.
    3) Resize the video to have the size of the target.
The triggers can have the images related to the videos so as to act as thumbnails for videos.

  • How to create multiple price lists in indesign linking via ODBC/ SQL

    Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me as I am really not sure where to begin! We stock over 3000 product lines and have 2000+ customers who all have bespoke prices, all of this information is stored on our system. I am trying to find out if it is possible to create a price list that links to this information so that we can create bespoke price lists for each customer. We currently use excel but would like a more professional look to our price lists and to include product images etc. Whilst the price list product content will be the same for all customers we will need to periodically need to add new products to this price list. I anyone able to point us in the right direction for a solution to this?
    Many thanks
    Jen

    Hi Peter,
Yes I think that this is the way we will be probably go but not sure what the correct terms are for what I am looking for. Not sure if you are allowed to post examples of specific commercial plug ins here but if not, what should I search for. I know if sounds daft but it's a real case of not knowing what it is I am looking for. I am a complete InDesign newcomer who uses it at the moment for simple flyers etc so more than happy to find someone who can do the more complex stuff for me. The price lists will need to be done inhouse and on a regular basis.
    thanks
    Jen

  • How to create a 16x9 slideshow

I'm looking for the best method to create a slideshow that ends up in 16x9, without stretching the images, for viewing on a large LCD HD TV. Something tells me that I might need to begin by cropping the original images in pre-processing, but I'd sure like to hear some specific steps from someone who has successfully accomplished this.
Prior to this point, I've usually started this process in iPhoto by exporting a slideshow as a .mov and then importing into iDVD.
    thanks for any tutoring here....

  • How to create a jpeg slideshow.

With a lot of help I have now created a slide show with captions. However when I export the slide show I get only pdf format. I need jpeg so I can stream the file to my dvd player to see on the television.
I finally found a way to export to jpeg but the captions do not follow and I think that is because I export from the Collection under LIBRARY instead of the SLIDESHOW  to avoid the pdf format.  I am sure there is a path somewhere to export a complete slideshow in jpeg format. Can anyone help with this?
    Thanks for any help,
    Ray Zachary

Thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately, The Export JPEG Slideshow command does not appear in any menu whether I am in the Slideshow module or the Library module. I thought this type of command existed when I built a slide show in the past. However, it does not seem to be available now.  Is there a preference or other trigger that would cause this item to either be there or not be there?
