How to create an interactive mouse triggered table?

I'm trying to create a VI for an experiment that will take measurements from 3 GPIB devices and put them in a table, with the front panel roughly looking like the one attached (panel.jpg).  I'm trying to have the panel work as follows:
When the user hits the "Measure" button, the VI reads the devices and displays the values on top. I figured out that part. Now, once he/she is satisfied with the readings, he places the cursor in any cell in the table and presses "Write". This causes the 3 values to be written to 3 adjacent cells in that row, beginning with the cell clicked on. I'm not sure how to do that, though it probably needs a mouse event handler. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks!

A table is just a 2D array of strings, so to do random insertions, your string array needs to be the size of the table from the beginning. Initialize a 2D array of empty strings, then replace elements according to the cell position.
Attached is a simple demo (LabVIEW 8.0) that demonstrates how to fill a table cell whenever a cell is double-clicked. (notice that the table is a disabled indicator, so only programmatic changes can take place). You should be able to modify it for your needs to fill 3 adjacent cells. It may also need a few little tweaks in the coordinate handling.
If you like to fill on a button press, you would sense a single click and place the coordinates into a shift register, later to be read in the "write" event where you do the element replacements. modify as needed. There are many other ways to do this.
Note that all cells have the same size, else the problem would become a bit more complex.
LabVIEW Champion . Do more with less code and in less time .

what message type will be used and on receiving system how to post these records.
      thankx.
      pillac.

    Hi,
You need to create a custom message type and custom IDOC type for this with whatever fields you want send. You need to create segments (WE30), IDOC type (WE30), Message types (WE81) and assign the message type to the IDOC type (WE82).
You will have trigger the IDOC using a Report or something after doing the partner profile settings.
Similary in the target system also, you will have do all the settings.
Take a look the links to find out what settings needs to be done.

  • From SharePoint2013 list item data how to create Google Interactive Chart?

    HI All,
From SharePoint2013 list item data how to create Google Interactive Chart?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
To push data from list items to Google Chart, we can use JavaScript Client Object Model or REST API to retrieve the data needed.
Here are two links about using JavaScript Client Object Model to access list items:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/hh185006(v=office.14).aspx
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/hh185007(v=office.14).aspx
From the links from the official site of the Google Chart, we can find out the method to populate data into Chart:
    https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/quick_start

  • How to create a partition on existing table?

    Hey
Could some one please tell me on how to create a partition on existing table?

Could some one please tell me on how to create a partition on existing table?
You can't - that isn't possible. Unless a table is already partitioned you can NOT create another partition on it.
You must either redefine the table as a partitioned table (using the DBMS_REDEFINITION package) or create a new partitioned table and move the data to its new partitions.
The choice will depend on how much data the existing table has and whether you can do it offline.

How to create an interactive 3D model? Which software should we need to do that?

you can crate 3d models in any number of graphics programs.  swift3d is especially designed to use with flash.
i'm not sure what kind of interaction you want but that would probably be coded in flash.

  • How to do an interactive form with tables

I've been asked to recreate an interactive form that was created using several tables. The tables are made up of cells that contain labels of what information is required, followed by blank cells where the user can put the information (text fields). A few of the cells are to contain drop down menus that will contain a list of answers to choose from (combo boxes). I kind of like the idea of doing it in a table just because it keeps everything lined up automatically.
I am a Lynda.com subscriber, and I found a course on that site that shows how to create interactive forms with InDesign, but it just breezes past doing it with tables. It says you can do it, but doesn't show how. The problem is, one table can contain all three types of cells that I plan to use. I can select the whole table and then choose "Type" in the Buttons and Forms panel, but I would think that would turn the whole table into just one type of field. I can't seem to figure out how to select individual cells of the table to choose different types.
Is there a way to do that?

    This is work around
1- Draw a rectangle frame, and without release mouse use up and right arrow key to define rows and columns count and use Ctrld+ down arrow key to reduce space between rows and Ctrl+left arrow key to reduce space between column.
    2- Covert frames to Buttons.

    - Choose your table and press CHANGE ICON, so INDEX
When you create an index you should consider if your index is contained in another index.
If the fields of your index are:
    - FIELD1, FLIED2, FIELD3
...it'll be triggered only if the select is:
    SELECT * FROM <TABLE> WHERE FIELD1

  • [ADF Help] How to create a view for multiple tables

    Hi,
I am using Jdeveloper 11G and ADF framework, and trying to create a view to update multiple tables.
    ex:
Table A has these fields: ID, Name
Table B has these fields: ID, Address
A.ID and B.ID are primary keys.
B.ID has FK relationship with A.ID
(basically, these tables have one-to-one relation)
I want to create a view object, which contains these fields: B.ID (or A.ID), A.Name, B.Address.
So I can execute C,R,U,D for both tables.
I create these tables in DB, and create entity objects for these tables.
So there are 2 entity objects and 1 association.
Then I create a view object based on B and add fields of A into the view:
If the association is not a "Composition Association",
when I run the model ("Oracle Business Component Browser") and try to insert new data, fields of A can't edit.
If the association is a "Composition Association", and click the insert button, I will get
"oracle.jbo.InvalidOwnerException: JBO-25030: Failed to find or invalidate owning entity"
If I create a view object based on A and add filed of B into the view:
When I run the model and try to insert new data, fields of B can't edit, no matter the association is or is not a composition association.
So... how can I create a view for multiple tables correctly?
    Thanks for any advices!
Here are some pictures about my problem, if there is any unclear point, please let me know.

    Hi Branislav,
Thanks, but the result is same ....
In the step 2 of creating view object, I can select entity objects to be added in to the view.
If I select A first, and then select B (the "Source Usage" of B is A), then finishing the wizards.
When I try to create a new record in the view, I can't edit any properties of B (those files are disabled).
If I select B first, and then select A in crating view object, the result is similar ...
    Thanks for any further suggestion.

  • How to CREATE VIEW to merge two tables each of which has CLOB-typed column

I failed in creating a view to merge two tables that have CLOB-type column each.
    The details are:
    Database: Oracle 9i (9.2.0)
Two tables "test" and "test_bak", each of which has the following structure:
    ID Number(10, 0)
    DUMMY VARCHAR2(20)
    DUMMYCLOB CLOB
    The following operation fails:
create view dummyview (id, dummy, dummyclob) as
select id, dummy, dummyclob from test
    union
    select id, dummy, dummyclob from test_bak;
    I was announced:
    select test.id, test.dummy, test.dummyclob
    ERROR in line 2:
ORA-00932: inconsistent data type: required - , but CLOB presented.
But if creating views from only ONE table with CLOB-type columns, or from two tables WITHOUT CLOB-typed columns, the creation will succeed. The following 1) and 2) will succeed, both:
    1) one table, with CLOB-typed column
create view dummyview (id, dummy, dummyclob) as
    select id, dummy, dummyclob from test;
    2) two tables, without CLOB-typed columns
create view dummyview (id, dummy) as
    select id, dummy from test
    union
    select id, dummy from test_bak;
I want to merge the two tables all, with complete columns, how to write the CREATE VIEW SQL statement?
    many thanks in advance

    Dong Wenyu,
    No.
    But you could do this:
    SELECT source.*, nvl (tab1.clob_column, tab2.clob_column)
    FROM your_table1 tab1, your_table2 tab2, (
    SELECT primary_key, ...
    FROM your_table1
    UNION
    SELECT primary_key, ...
    FROM your_table2
    ) source
    WHERE source.primary_key = tab1.id (+)
    AND source.primary_key = tab2.id (+)
In other words, do the set operation (UNION (ALL)/INTERSECT/MINUS) on just the PK columns before pulling in the LOB columns.

  • How to create xml file from relational tables in 10gR2

    Hi,
I am very new to XML and was wondering how to create an XML file from querying relational tables. Some child tables may contain multiple rows that need to be returned in certain instances. Other queries will just be single or multiple rows from one or more tables. I would like to use the latest feathers in 10gR2. Thanks for any help you can provide.
    Thanks,
