How to create an Obligatory Authorization Vairable?

Hi guys i need to create an obligatory variable for authorization, when i create a variable it is always set up as optional when i execute my query in Portal the filter window is not showed and the query is executed directly......
Any suggestion to avoid this?

Ok guys....thanks a lot for your answers.....what i want is a variable "Ready for Input" that the usar can fill...and it will be validates with only the values that the user has authorization...but the authorization variable is always optional....in portal do not show the filter values but i found in a port that you only need to add in the Query String VARIABLE_SCREEN='X' and the filter is shown......

I would like to try to explain how to create an authorization profile.
1. you have to create a user with the Tcode SU01 at first
2. run Tcode /nPFCG.
3. enter a name for the role (naming convention is here very important) which you want to create and then click on "create Role".
4. enter a short description for the role and then click on Authorization tab.
5. now you are required to save the role. Click on it and continue.
6. click on the tab "change authorization data" and select the authorization template what you need.
7.change the authorization field value.
8.click on button "Generate".
9.click on button Back
10. click on Tab user to assign the role to the user which you created in step one
11.click on button User comparison and then complete comparison

How To create Authorization for a Web template in Bw 3.5 ?
I have a requirement to restrict a particular Web templated in bw 3.5 So that all the end users should not be able to access that template only a particular user should be allowed to view the template?
I cant find any authorization object for the WAD template in bw 3.5 ?
Can anyone tell me the procedure to include the WAD template authorization?
Should i include the authorization template in the Menu - in pfcg??? . i have added the template in the Menu in the PFCG but still it didnt work.

As you said, the authorizations for the WAD templates should be given in PFCG roles.
But you have to include the access/authorization details in the authorization objects. WAD templates have been created with including info/multiprovider, info cubes right.. first you have to include these objects inside the Role in PFCG.
S_RS_COMP,S_RS_COMP1,S_RS_MPRO,S_RS_ICUBE.
just assigning WAD template in the menu of the roles is to display when you login with the userid.
Please request your BASIS folks to do the same.

How to create authorization groups for G/L Accounting

I have a problem with authorizations groups in FI, I hope you could help me.
We want to control access to accounting in FI by authorization group so user only can work with some G/L accounts.
I have seen in transaction FS00, in control data tab, a field called Auth. Group, but I really donu2019t know if this is the right field.
Do you know how I can control access to G/L Accounts by Authorization Groups? Perhaps must I to create a new Authorization Group by roles? We have 4.6c.

Update the authorization group field in the GL master with any user defined value and then include the same in the respective user roles against the authorization object - F_BKPF_BES-BRGRU in PFCG

give the user name to whom you have to give the authorizations.
maintain user then you can see the roles tab where you can assign the roles for the user.
for these roles you can assign the authorization objects. when you double click on the roles you can get the maintenance of the role where you can edit or give the authorization objects for that role.
some example for the authorization objects are:
S_RS_ADMWB (Datawarehouse workbench-objects), S_RS_IOBJ(Datawarehouse workbench-Infoobject), S_RS_DS(Datawarehouse workbench-Datasoure for release greater than 3.X), S_RS_DTP(Datawarehouse workbench-DTP's) etc
You can edit these authorization objects like providing them display or create or modifying authorizations

Authorization
For authorization checks, there are many ways of linking authorization objects with user actions in an SAP system. The following discusses three possibilities in the context of ABAP programming.
Authorization Check for Transactions
You can directly link authorization objects with transaction codes. You can enter values for the fields of an authorization object in the transaction maintenance. Before the transaction is executed, the system compares these values with the values in the user master record and only starts the transaction if the appropriate authorization exists.
Authorization Check for ABAP Programs
For ABAP programs, the two objects S_DEVELOP (program development and program execution) and S_PROGRAM (program maintenance) exist. They contains a field P_GROUP that is connected with the program attribute authorization group. Thus, you can assign users program-specific authorizations for individual ABAP programs.
Authorization Check in ABAP Programs
A more sophisticated, user-programmed authorization check is possible using the Authority-Check statement. It allows you to check the entries in the user master record for specific authorization objects against any other values. Therefore, if a transaction or program is not sufficiently protected or not every user that is authorized to use the program can also execute all the actions, this statement must be used.
AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT object

object is the name of an authorization object. With name1, name2 ... , and so on, you must list all fields of the authorization object object. With f1, f2 ... , and so on, you must specify the values that the system is to check against the entries in the relevant authorization of the user master record. The AUTHORITY-CHECK statement searches for the specified object in the user profile and checks the useru2019s authorizations for all values of f1, f2 ... . You can avoid checking a field name1, name2 ... by replacing FIELD f1 FIELD f2 with DUMMY.
After the FIELD addition, you can only specify an elementary field, not a selection table. However, there are function modules available that execute the AUTHORITY-CHECK statement for all values of selection tables. The AUTHORITY-CHECK statement is supported by a statement pattern.
Only if the user has all authorizations, is the return value sy-subrc of the AUTHORITY-CHECK statement set to 0. The most important return values are:
·        0: The user has an authorization for all specified values.
·        4: The user does not have the authorization.
·        8: The number of specified fields is incorrect.
·        12: The specified authorization object does not exist.
A list of all possible return values is available in the ABAP keyword documentation. The content of sy-subrc has to be closely examined to ascertain the result of the authorization check and react accordingly.

I hope someone can help me on how to create authorization role for just displaying and executing BEX Queries prefix Q and X. I'm currently using SAP BI 7.1.
Actually, I already created one role called : Z_FORINDO_ONLYDISPLAY_QX
where I only put in the Authorization Component (in the Role Maintenance - Tcode 'pfcg'):

In BI or BW go to the object Company Code n change more under Business explorer mark Check the authorization relevant field.
Now go to basis guy or if u have the authorization in BI for RSECADMIN(T-CODE)
Under which Authorization n maintenance Tab.
Create Authorization Relevant Object. Like ZN_CCODE n in which select 0COMP_CODE. After selecting the Company code double click on that n under which u can give restriction for the particular company code.

In order to createthe PL's of customize report (from Query Manager) you will have to go the Tools Tab of the Menu Bar in which you will have to click the Queries tab which will lead to a drop down menu which when clicked will lead to Quaery Print layout. You will have to choose your query based upon whether from the reports tab double click it to open the Query Print Layout Designer.
Here again in the Menu Bar you will find the under the Tools the first tab is the PLD which when clicked you can do the same process as explined below
When you go to the document ( Any Document ) in the tool bar you would find the 24th Icon to be the Print Layout Designer Tab when you click this it takes you to the layout designer window.... below there is tab named set as default when you click this the system would ask you 2 choices
1. Set as default for all users
2. Set as default for current user
Which means that you will have to open each and every form?
for each and every user and set them as default for the user.

How do I change the authorization on my laptop

I have a windows 7 laptop that was the first place we installed Adobe Digital Edition and we used one email address. Now we do not have access to the email account any more and want to chagne the authorization account to our new email account. We have created the new ID on the web and I am logged in using it to write this request for help. I cannot find any way to change the authorization account on my laptop. I have tried uninstalling, deleting the digital editions folder, rebooting, and re-installing but it stills shows the authorization account using the old email address.
Ideas?

The clean way to deauthrorize your computer is to launch ADE, and then press Ctrl+Shift+D (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+D (Mac). After deauthorizing, you will be forced to reactivate/authorize when you next run ADE. --
