How to create authorization base on comp. code in BW

Now I want to create one authorization for people who can only see the comp. code under ' 9000' . Pls info how to create it in BW side. Could we upload authorization profile for that person from ERP side?

Hi Awa,
In BI or BW go to the object Company Code n change more under Business explorer mark Check the authorization relevant field.
Now go to basis guy or if u have the authorization in BI for RSECADMIN(T-CODE)
Under which Authorization n maintenance Tab.
Create Authorization Relevant Object. Like ZN_CCODE n in which select 0COMP_CODE. After selecting the Company code double click on that n under which u can give restriction for the particular company code.
It will surely help you.

As you said, the authorizations for the WAD templates should be given in PFCG roles.
But you have to include the access/authorization details in the authorization objects. WAD templates have been created with including info/multiprovider, info cubes right.. first you have to include these objects inside the Role in PFCG.
S_RS_COMP,S_RS_COMP1,S_RS_MPRO,S_RS_ICUBE.
just assigning WAD template in the menu of the roles is to display when you login with the userid.
Please request your BASIS folks to do the same.

give the user name to whom you have to give the authorizations.
maintain user then you can see the roles tab where you can assign the roles for the user.
for these roles you can assign the authorization objects. when you double click on the roles you can get the maintenance of the role where you can edit or give the authorization objects for that role.
some example for the authorization objects are:
S_RS_ADMWB (Datawarehouse workbench-objects), S_RS_IOBJ(Datawarehouse workbench-Infoobject), S_RS_DS(Datawarehouse workbench-Datasoure for release greater than 3.X), S_RS_DTP(Datawarehouse workbench-DTP's) etc
You can edit these authorization objects like providing them display or create or modifying authorizations

Create Business Partner from Txn : BP and extend same BP to role Employee. In Identification tab there is field user name just assign your User Id here and save.

How to create a database for sample code from Tutorial/Book?

I want to try out the sample code from [http://shop.oreilly.com/product/0636920013471.do] for the book SQL Pocket Guide 3rd Ed.
I have downloaded the oracle vm/appliance for oracle 11g2 and I have started sqlplus as sysdba.
I'm feeling overwhelmed with these links describing how to create a database:

(1) What is the command to list the existing databases?
(2) What is the command to delete an existing database?
(3) When creating a new database with the create database command, is it necessary to specify the logfile, character set, national character set, datafile, sysaux datafile, undo tablespace, temp table space? Do these have reasonable defaults? I'm not sure what proper directories are to specify for Linux and the examples are for windows.
Can someone give me a simplified create database command to create a database called 3rdEdPocketGuide? Should I follow the example at [http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Oracle-7-HOWTO-3.html] and instead of orcl use 3rdEdPocketGuide?
(4) What command do I use to execute the script that comes with the book SQL Pocket Guide 3rd Ed? This is the script that has all the drop table, create table and insert commands in it.
(5) What command do I use in sqlplus to set the current default database prior to running this script? Perhaps this is the connect command? I don't want my script to create tables in the system database.
(6) I tried the command "connect 3rdEdPocketGuide" and it prompted for a password! Yikes! What password? Do I need to specify a password when I create a database? I cannot tell if I have successfully created such a database or it is just prompting me for a password to thwart malicious users. Is it is possible to create databases which don't require a password or maybe a zero length password?

As we can't change the layout of Smartfrm dynamically we have to fix it.
1. Just Create a table structure of 5 equal sized column.
2. Now create a structure in TYPES
    TYPES : BEGIN OF i_table,
                    FIELD1(15) type c,
                    FIELD2(15) type c,
                    FIELD3(15) type c,
                    FIELD4(15) type c,
                    FIELD5(15) type c,
                 END OF i_table.
3. Now create a table in "FORM INTERFACE"
4. Display the same in your smartforms.
Now in your Print program create the same table as above.
1. Now you can move the first 5 fields data from your dynamic internal table to the interface table.
2. You can add up a popup saying only first 5 fields can be displayed.
Note : if the field length is bigger then you have to use a variable to cut out only first 15 character to put it into the interface table.
Hope this hint helps you a bit to gather some knowledge for your requirement.

How to create dll file from c code to use in compactrio 9004 RT controller

I am using Compactrio 9004 Real time controller and i am new to this. I have a C code and i want to use this with the RT controller.I red that that can be done by creating a dll file and can be called in labview.Can any body expalin how to create a DLL from the c code and be used with this RT controlelr?

There is another KB article about this for Pharlap based controllers. And you are right the earlier CompactRIO controllers were Pharlap based. Basically for a deployed application to work, you need to put the DLL through FTP in "/ni-rt/system". If you deploy it directly from the project everything will be loaded into memory through the project environment itself including directly dependable DLLs, (but of course won't survive a power cycle).
I hope you are aware that while Windows DLLs can work on Pharlap OS they by no means will do so always. The Pharlap OS has not a fully featured Windows API. Also you need to be careful which version of Visual C you are going to use depending on the Pharlap OS version, since the VC runtime DLLs already present on the controller will need to be the same as the ones your Visual C environment likes to link in. Recent Pharlap OS versions use the msvcr71.dll. It's very possible that those runtime libraries can't just simply be copied from a normal Windows installation but might have been recompiled by NI specifically for their controller targets.
So to avoid problems it's a good idea to make sure your DLL uses the same runtime library DLL or make your DLL to include the static MS runtime.

i have 10 query print layout, and not every user can view this layout.
I assume,
report 1-3 only for user A,
report 4-7 only for user B, and
report 8-10 only for user C.

In order to createthe PL's of customize report (from Query Manager) you will have to go the Tools Tab of the Menu Bar in which you will have to click the Queries tab which will lead to a drop down menu which when clicked will lead to Quaery Print layout. You will have to choose your query based upon whether from the reports tab double click it to open the Query Print Layout Designer.
Here again in the Menu Bar you will find the under the Tools the first tab is the PLD which when clicked you can do the same process as explined below
When you go to the document ( Any Document ) in the tool bar you would find the 24th Icon to be the Print Layout Designer Tab when you click this it takes you to the layout designer window.... below there is tab named set as default when you click this the system would ask you 2 choices
1. Set as default for all users
2. Set as default for current user
Which means that you will have to open each and every form?
for each and every user and set them as default for the user.

Suppose we are creating a contract for 10 products and then in the follow up transaction sales order I activate 5 of them.So my requirement is that we need to update the number of activated product in the contract as well..i.e- if 5 products are activated we need to ensure that in the contract this data is update.We want to achieve this functionality using workflows.Is there any method to created installed base components through workflow.

Checking the result I note all segment at the same level and an error about the segment E1EDL22
EDI: Syntax error in IDoc (segment cannot be identified)
     Message no. E0078
Diagnosis
     The segment E1EDL22 does not occur at the current level of the basic
     type DELVRY05 (extension ZLE_00060_DLVY).
     This error can have several reasons:
     o   The segment E1EDL22 is assigned to a group whose header segment does
         not occur.
     o   The segment E1EDL22 does not exist in the syntax description of the
         basic type DELVRY05 (extension ZLE_00060_DLVY).
     o   The sequence of segments in the group in which the segment appears
         is incorrect.
     Previous errors ('mandatory' segment or group missing) may be due to
     this error.
Procedure
     Please check the IDoc or the syntax description of the basic type

following in debugging mode the abap code of the INCLUDE ZXTRKU02 where is defined the TABLES IDOC_DATA STRUCTURE EDIDD, I find that all field of the table IDOC_DATA are not set. More exactly my expectation is to find values for SEGNUM, HLEVEL, PSGNUM.
In a few words I need to execute an enhancement, via abap code, of the struscure of the idoc before sending it out since I have a requirement to test this enhancement in my XI environment, receiving as input this ideoc modified.
Then, I need to add a new segment and one child.
Any suggestion will be well appreciated.
