I have a dashboard like sales & Business entities..etc, my user want to see the recent bookmarks in that dashboard, so please let me know how to create bookmarks for the dashboard?

How to create a static dashboard bookmark?

Hi guys,
i want to provide a link to access dashboard page from another application. i made the bookmark link and work! The problem is that if i make some changes, on the dashboard page provided with bookmark, the dashboard page is not accessible using old bookmark. I have to create another new bookmark link. Is possible to have a static bookmark link to make changes on the dashboard without generate a new bookmark?

Antonio,
Why don't you try creating two identical dashboard pages in which dashboard page 1 is always static and use it as book mark link page.
Dashboard page 2 becomes your non-book mark link page, where you can apply your changes.
I hope the dashboard link object also doesn't provide you a static link as it provides a link to the location rather than link to content.
Did you try researching if it is possible through BI publisher ?

How To Create Bookmarks in an Audio Track

Today I upgraded from iMovie 06 to iMovie 09 and cannot figure how to add bookmarks to an audio track for timing my video/photo transitions. In iMovie 06, I used "Open Apple-B" to create bookmarks at the beat of an audio track but in iMovie 09 I don't even find reference in any books/on-line help to do so.

In iMovie, they are called Beat Markers. If you search for Beat Markers in the Help you should find it.

Sharepoint PPS how to create folder in dashboard designer

Please bear with me as i am kind of new to PPS
I am not able to understand how the folder are organized in dashboard designer as i could not find a way to create a new Folder. If i want to create a new page in the dashboard and organize KPI, Scorecards and Reports in seperate folders how do i do that?
also not sure how the properties are created in scorecard when you select scorecard on left side in dashboard designer the right vertical window shows properties how to add or edit it?
Basically my requirement is create a new page a create KPI's Scorecard including all the KPI's and then create a detail report below scorecard when someone clicks on scorecard it would take all the cell level parameters and show the details in the detail
report? any help is greatly appreciated.

As for your other requirement,you need to follow the below steps.
You need to create a KPI details report .Then on the Dashboard ,drag your scorecard and KPI details report that you created next to the scorecard.Now,click on create connection
option of your KPI details report (located somewhere to the right ), a window pops up.Now,in the
Items tab ,under the Get Values from Option choose the name of your scorecard from the dropdown options.On the
Values Tab,Under the Source Value option select
Cell:Context option.Click ok.

How to create Bookmark for 1 or more tabs in defined bookmarks folder?

How can I create a bookmark for
a) the current tab
b) all tabs in the current safari window
in an already existing bookmarks folder via Apple Script?
(Why? I want to define keyboard shortcuts for 3 or 4 different folders
to quickly sort my bookmarks already when saving them.)
After launching the script, i'd like to also get a text input box to
define
for (a) the name of the bookmark (default value like when hitting cmd-
D)
and for (b) the name of the bookmarks folder to create with all the
tab's bookmarks.
Is there an easy way to do that?

Do you mean a Book mark folder inside Safari or a real folder full of .webloc files?
Beside this, for my own use I wrote an AppleScript that puts the URLs + descriptions + keywords into a simple text-file. Then I wrote a small html-file that pulls this text-file using Javascript and builds up a html-table with live-search like in itunes...
I placed a bookmark to that lokal html-file in my bookmark-bar and now I can access this bookmark list just by pressing cmd+1 inside Safari (since it is the first Bookmark in the Bookmark-Bar).
(This local bookmark-site works great with Safari or Firefox, but chrome resists to load the local-textfile... but it would work if the file is online... strange google )

Here, project details are from a list "Project", Budget consumption from a list "Budget". Different project should mention as option in tab like Project1, project2, project3. If i click project project 1 it should show its own details.
In that tab itself like to mention KPI and Status bar. I plan to have this whole dashboard as a webpart or else what is the best way to achieve this? and thanks in advance!

How to create bookmarks on Mac OS 10.8.2 after the installation of a new hard drive?

At this point I have no bookmarks or folders in Foxfire or Safari. I started with Foxfire and could find no way to create folders for bookmarks. I tried the "Show all bookmarks" under the "Bookmarks" menu and then hold down "Control" while touching the "Bookmarks Menu" and got nothing related to creating a folder.
Should I start with Safari and then import them to Foxfire? There has to be a better and more direct way to reach my goal.

You can create as bookmark folder in the Library (Bookmarks Manager) via the right-click context menu (right pane) or the Organize button the toolbar in the Library.

You can create new folders and new bookmarks in the three main folders ("Bookmarks Toolbar","Bookmarks Menu","Unsorted Bookmarks") or their sub folders, but you can not create a new folder at the root level ("All Bookmarks").

I logged as Administrator.
Go to Answers --> Click on Manage Catalog --> Click on Shared Folders link on top --> Create folders, sub-folders.... After you are done, click on the Properties of that folder and note the path.
In Answers save your reports to those folders...
In Dashboard
Edit the Dashboard --> add Folder and in the Folder Properties provide the path.
You are done.

How to create bookmark subfolder??

For the first time since I have upgraded to Leopard, I have attempted to create a subfolder under one of my existing Safari bookmark folders. However, I can not get it to work, either with the "+" sign in the lower left, or by dragging. The new folder remains a "top level" folder and refuses to become a subfolder. What am I missing? Thanks!

After creating a new folder ("plus" sign, or "Bookmarks" menu, then "Add Bookmark folder" or "shift-apple-N"), click on the parent folder (the one you want the new folder to go in as a subfolder). Then drag the new folder over to the right, where the bookmarks are listed.
As an alternative, if you click on the parent folder on the left that you want a new folder to go in, then click into the area on the right (that lists the bookmarks in a folder), you can then "Add Bookmark folder" (again, "shift-apple-N") or use the "plus" sign on the bottom under the bookmarks.

The best practice for creating reports and dashboard

Hello guys
I am trying to put together a list of best practice on how to create reports and dashboards using OBIEE presentation service. I know a lot of those dos and donts are just corporate words that don't apply consistantly in real world environment, but still I'd like to know if Oracle has any officially defined best practice or not.
the only best practice I can think of when it comes to building reports and dashboards is:
Each subject area should contain only one star schema that holds data for a specific business information
Is there anything else?

How to create multiple graphs dashboard in Crystal XI using a single View from MS SQL Server 2005?
I need to use Crystal XI and create a dashboard which shows some sales data and stuff, multiple graphs on a single screen.
My tech team says they can display one graph per page but not 4 graphs on the same page as it uses a common view from SQL Server 2005.
How to manage this? Can we call in multiple views / graphs in the same page? Say 4 graphs on the same page?
We use ASP or .NET for calling crystal reports into the App.

Have you tried creating multiple sections, putting each graph in a separate section and then underlaying the sections so they appear next to each other?

How to hide create bookmark link in OBIEE ?

Hi,
I have a report which I have shown up as a link in my dashboard page.
When the user clicks on the report it shows the create bookmark link option at the bottom alongwith the return link.
Client doesnt want create bookmark link to show up...any idea how to remove it?
the link shows up only in those reports which show up as link in the dashboard...the reports embedded in dashboard dont have any such link showing up
