How to create buttons that control left and right scroll?

I would like to know if there is a way to create two buttons, each on the left and right hand sides of the screen, that would control the horizontal (x-axis) scroll of my website. I've built two image buttons that link to anchors located on the left and righthand edges of the page, but this does not achieve the funtionality I'm looking for. I would like each button to scroll incrementally every time it is pressed.
Is this possible in Muse?

There are no facing pages in Pages 5.

You do not have a virus. It sounds like you have turned on Switch Control, which can be turned back off in Settings > General > Accessibility. You probably have the Accessibility Shortcut feature turned on, causing a triple-click on the home button to activate or deactivate that feature. You can disable that shortcut in the same Accessibility settings.

How to make those shadowed borders left and right of your page?

Hi, Can someone tell me if I am on the right track? Here's what I've done so far. I've specified the background colour in the properties section. I've set up a 3 column table (fixed size) that has small columns left and right and a big one in the middle. For those small columns I've pickwhipped to 2 small gifs with the shadow. Previewed in Safari and everything looks ok.
My question: is this the best way to do this? Or does it need a CSS approach? And if so, how?
Now I want to give the bottom a shadow as well. Do I proceed in the same way? So make a left corner, right corner and a bottom? I'm working with GL CS2.

The best way to slice things up depends on how the page is layed out. If the content area has a fixed width that centers (or doesn't), then might make more sense to have 3 vertically stacked divs with the background and drop shadows, then nest another div in the middle with margins for the actual content. Or, if the content size is completely fluid, the same structure could still work with floating divs (or absolutely positioned relative to a single container?) holding the corner images. Or there's always the old-school tables way of slicing things up (though I'd avoid that).
There's more than one way to do it, and I don't know that any single option is necessarily the "right" way to go... as long as it works and validates?

If I have audio coming from left channel. How do I make same audio Left and Right?

I've recorded some footage with a mono mic and it recorded the audio on the left channel of the audio. In FCP. I placed this audio clip as a part of a multi-cam clip but the sound is only coming out the left. Is there a way to set this audio to mono or to make them play the same levels through the left and right channels?

Wow! 30 Seconds later, I figured it out. LOL
Under Inspector for audio, you just click on channel configuration, click on channel and use "Dual Mono" mode. Thanks Caleb!

How to split audio tracks into left and right channels as we do in FCP or Avid needed for dubbing?

We are recording in two languages, one in left and the other in right channel. However, in Adobe Premiere Pro we are not able to split the track when we take up for rought cut. Both the tracks are found mixed. Pl help. Since we need to maintian the split track to dubb into other languages.

You need to do this before adding the footage to the sequence:
Select the clip (or multiple clips) in the bin
Menu > Clip > Modify > Audio Channels (Shift G)
Change 'Number of Audio Tracks' to 2
Change 'Channel Format' to Mono
Dismiss the info message.
When you place the clip in a sequence it will now drop L and R into separate tracks (assuming your sequence allows that audio model).

How to number pages on bottom left and right corners

Hi,
i am creating a magazine and am trying to number the pages so the first page will have 'page 1' in the bottom left hand corner and the second will have it in the bottom right, i can get the numbering to work but they are all in the bottom left so on the opposite page the number is next to the spine (of the mag), i also need to miss out the front cover
any help would be much appreciated

In order to do mirrored layout elements you need to be sure that you've set up your document as facing pages. Put the page number markers on opposite corners on each page of the two-page master spread.

Left and Right Side buttons

I just got a replacement 8330 because I dropped my previous one in a muddy puddle. I cannot remember how I originally re-programmed the left and right side buttons to run different applications than the default (camera, and voice dial). Can someone help me out?

If you mean there are parts of the picture at the sides you want to remove, you have at least 2 choices.
You can mask the edges of the frame or enlarge it so that the left and right sides are outside the picture area.
The latter suggestion will reduce the quality of the video and you will also lose an equal amount from the topand bottom, though you could slide the image up or down.

Scroll front panel left and right using control

I am taking an input from a chair rotation sensor (that just returns a voltage). I want to use this value to operate a control that scrolls the front panel left and right. Effectivively, the user would be able to navigate a wide control panel just using his chair.
So to summarise:
Does anyone know of a way to control the left and right scrolling motion of the front panel using a control?

Use the VI property "FP.Origin" to set the position of the panel in the window. To move the window position, use "FP.Winbounds".

Left and right side of screen does not register mouse clicks.

The left and right side of my screen (when maximized) does not register a mouse click. I would estimate about 10 to 15 pixels in (top to bottom) before a button will register a click.
If I work with in firefox not maximized everything works fine. As it stands I have had to add buttons to the left and right side of my Firefox navigation area to utilize the back and home button. I am also not able to use my scroll bar do to this situation with out connecting an external mouse.
Operating system: Windows 7 Professional (64bit)
Resolution 1280x800
Computer: HP TouchSmart tm2 (1070us series)
This laptop does have the touchpad type mouse, I do not think this is the problem though as it will work if firefox is not maximized.
Assistance with this would be appreciated. I Love firefox but this is to much of an annoyance to deal with continually.

Not sure if its ever overheated... I've never left it in a hot car if thats what you mean. Sometimes it gets very hot if I'm using EDGE for a while. I don't push hard which is why I don't think I caused it...
I will bring it in this weekend and see what they say.
I also think that the speakerphone sounds fuzzy and muffled a lot more than it did when I first bought it. So just another reason to bring it in.

Right click the graph and select Create>Property Node. On the diagram, find the property node, right click it and first select Change All to Write. Right click again and if you select Properties, you will see a list of all the available properties for the graph. The properties you want are XScale.Minimum, XScale.Maximum, XScale.Increment, YScale.Minimum, YScaleMaximum, and YScale.Increment. You can grow the single property node to have as many properties that you want. Once you have all the properties created, create front panel controls and wire them to the property node. See the attached picture.

Creating a button that flips back and forth on iPad in InDesign through DPS

How do I create a button that flips back and forth on iPad in InDesign through DPS. I saw it on a food magzine on an ipad ... it's just a circle with text it in, when you click it the whole circle flips to the other side and there is a different color with different text. The circle does not change position, it just flips. Again, I want to do this so it shows up on the ipad through DPS.

Creating a button that highlights itself and another object

Hello all,
I have a specific function I am trying to apply to my InDesign document intended for exporting to an interactive PDF and SWF/html format.
The function I am trying to create is:
I have a picture of a typical WYSIWYG tool bar. I have created highlight buttons that sit on top of each icon in the picture. When the reader rolls over (with cursor) this picture of an icon I want it to highlight, and also a piece of text further down the page to highlight as well (which is a definition and explanation of the icon). So I want the rollover action of my first button to also trigger another action, which is to highlight a piece of text elsewhere on the page. I have managed to get it so that I hover over the first button (picture of icon), it highlights, and the text further down the page appears. But this isn’t quite what i want. I want the text to exist already, then highlight. Basically, I want to the two buttons to be linked. So that every time I hover over a portion of the picture with a created button, it will highlight, and a piece of exploratory text will also highlight simultaneously elsewhere on the page. A bit like an infograph. Surely this is possible?

Generally, animations like this with the goal of exporting a SWF are better be done in Adobe Flash.
In Indesign it sort of works, too. Only for export to SWF, you can assign the action "Go to status". For a text frame, you can assign different status, where the 1st status would be "normal" and the 2nd status would be "highlighted". Highlighted applies to the object "text frame", so you can assign a stroke or fill. Better than nothing.

Help with assignment- buttons that control movie clips

I am pretty new to flash and my professor gave us an assignment with little help or tutorials.
He wants us to create a SWF that features a house and it's front yard and two buttons.
One button that says Sunrise, and one that says Sunset.
When I push the sunrise button, the sun needs to rise above the house and stay there. When I push the Sunset button, it needs to set- and then a ufo needs to land on the lawn.
So i think I have a pretty good grasp on the assignment, but the actionscript is throwing me off. How can I make buttons that will control the sun movie clip to rise- stay above the house, and then set? The ufo is a whole new matter. The sunset button should make the sun lower and then a ufo land on the lawn.
Please help explain/link me to the proper tutorials. One thing that i'm worried about is that the sun will rise- and then stay above the house even if i click the sunset button.

Well i can think of a few ways to do this.
Depending on what you have been taught so far you should be able to do this if you know how to make a button, a movie clip, and the basic script for the timeline. ie. play,stop, gotoandplay etc.
I understand you have been set a task and you want the answer straight away. But i doubt he would have given you anything you couldn't handle. Also I learnt more from trial and error and searching the net than from most of my teachers at coll and uni, It's frustrating i know, but the buzz you get when you finally crack it is amazing. Stick in there!
That being said i remember the panic I suffered and like to help so here's a thought:
You could just have the 2 buttons play a basic movie clip. The sky could rotate one way to make the sun rise and add a "stop" in the actions to make it stay there, and to the left to sunset with both images together but not being shown all the time by using a mask. You could even add in the ufo to the clip but this would only work if you added an extra part to the movie so that when the ufo has landed it flys out again and then begins to rotate the sun and moon again. ( buttons would be dissabled during the play modes to avoid chaos) This is just a quick thought. I'm sure there are several ways of doing this depending on how fancy it needs to be.
If your teacher really has given you no notes on buttons,movieclips and actionscript i would sujest Adobe TV. Nice videos that explain step by step. OR try downloading a tutorial file with buttons and movie clips and look at the coding they use in the file. Thats how i have learnt most of it since finishing Uni.
