How to create I/O Root domain?

Hi,
I would like to ask your help in creating an I/O root domain? Is it the same as creating a guest VM. Is this just another guest VM that has direct connection with I/O such as HBA and Ethernet card?
Regards,
Andrew

Hello
In the admin manual you can find the definition of root I/O domain, DIO, SR-VIO I think it is worthy you read it so you will be able to make the most of your setup

How to create Trust between two domain:
    please help

    Hi,
By default, two-way, transitive trusts are automatically created when a new domain is added to a domain tree or forest root domain using the Active Directory Installation
Wizard. The two default trust types are defined in the following table. However there have others many types of the AD trust, please refer the following KB to determine which type you need:

  • How to create a new default domain for Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3

I installed Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2 and deinstalled it. Then, I install Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3

I saw old version of ADF in the development list at http://localhost:7101/console
I want to delete this domain and create a new default domain.
    How to do that?

How to do that?It is not clear from your question which domain you want to re-create. The WebLogic server that is installed along with the JDeveloper installation can run in either integrated mode - each time you run or debug your application in JDeveloper, or in standalone mode - in this case you start the server outside of JDeveloper and deploy onto it.
_1. For the integrated domain:_ One way to force JDeveloper to re-create the integrated WLS domain is by removing or re-defining the JDeveloper user directory. The location of the user directory is accesed via the JDEV_USER_DIR environment variable.
_2. For the standalone domain:_ You will need to run the WebLogic domain configuration wizard. It is called config.cmd (Windows installation) or config.sh (for Linux) and can be found in the wlserver_10.3\common\bin directory under the JDeveloper installation directory (MiddlewareHome).

  • How to create user for a Domain

    Hi
How we can create a User and assign him to a particular domain?
    Thanks
    BS

    Hi,
could you explain more exactly what you want to do? Remember that there is no out of the box way to create a "read only" user or to do "audit" based on a user id.
You edit the users in the EM console in the following path:
    Cluster Topology > Application Server: soa.xxx > OC4J: oc4j_soa > Security Providers > Instance Level Security > Users / Groups
Se my post regaring how to create a permission group for a "custom" domain:

  • How to create an empty WLS domain in v7.0.2?

    Hello All,
WLS 7.0.2 does not provide option to create an empty WLS domain with no custom
applications. This feature was supported in WLS 7.0.1.
    Any clues/suggestions.

I'm not sure what you are doing.
You should be doing something like this:
    D:\70domains\test>set CLASSPATH=D:\wls702\weblogic700\server\lib\weblogic.
    jar
    D:\70domains\test>java weblogic.Server

    identity
    from user.>
Enter username to boot WebLogic server:
    You should see that.
No need to set WLS_HOME. No need to copy the weblogic.jar. Just point the
CLASSPATH to the weblogic.jar of where you installed WLS.

Also.. Here are the details of BPEL create domain screen..
    Create New BPEL Domain
BPEL Domain is a logical grouping of processes, instances and activities. A domain may be accessed either by the domain or administrative password.
    Domain Id: <<Nattest>>
Each domain requires access to a JDBC datasource to store instances and activities. Tx Datasource JNDI must refer to a datasource with JTA support. Datasource JNDI may refer to any datasource (JTA not required).
    Datasource JNDI: <<<<JUST took default..>>>
Tx Datasource JNDI: <<JUST took default>>>

I've seen this if the database is down or in a funky state. Try shutting down BPEL, and restart the database, then bring BPEL back up. If you're using Oracle Lite just use the "Stop SOA Suite" GUI from the Start Menu.

  • How to create subdomains and mask url

    Hello,
Can some one please tell me how can create subdomains for my domains? I have an application, where the url will be http://www.abc.com/user/student/login.html now this url I want to musk by a unique subdomains for the user and make it look like this http://MERIT.abc.com/login.htmlThis will be created for all users. The users will get to chose the url that they want. I was wondering how can this be done?
    I think here
1, I will have to create a subdomain after making sure that it is not already registered
    2. Point this domain to www.abc.com/users/login
Usually I do this in the server using control panel by creating an A RECORD. Is there any provision in servlets to create A record?
    Thanks

That depends on the appserver in question. Consult the documentation which come along with it. If you're using for example Tomcat, then you should read this document: [http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-6.0-doc/virtual-hosting-howto.html]. Googling using smart keywords like "$appservername subdomain" (e.g. "tomcat subdomain") may also generate lot of helpful information.
This has essentially nothing to do with servlets. Self-respected appserver vendors have a forum or mailinglist at their website for the case you stucks.

    Hello Emadina
You need a web service reference in your Management Agent Extension code to get access to the exposed functions.
And you not only need functions to create/modify/delete objects, you also need a function to read the objects from the custom data source for two reasons:
    a) to be able to join your existing objects
    b) for confirming imports.
I think the best point to start your own Extensible Management Agent extension is the following link:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/hh859566(v=vs.100).aspx

  • Creating a new "root level" folder in Infoview

In Infoview (XI 3.1 SP6), does anyone know if it is possible (and how) to create a new "root level" folder, to add to the existing ones that are already there?
