How to Create Infoobjects,ODS,INFOCUBES & Multi Providers in BI7

Hi,
I want Step by step procedure to Create Infoobjects ,ODS,Infocubes & Mutiprovider in BI7.I Know the procedure for Creating these in BW3.5. So I want to Know the difference with ur Answers
Please help me Regarding this.

There is no change in creating info objects.
Cubes:
1. Right click the info area and chose create info cube.
2. Select the type of cube you wish to create and comnfirm your selections.
3. The next screen is where you actually define the cube.
4. Now you will notice the difference.
5. Place your cursur on key fig and right click and chose infio object direct input; chose your key fig for the cube.
6. Similarly for the dimension; right click the dimension and chose inbfo object direct input, chose your chars and out them in dimension.
7. Activate the cube.
Multi cube:
1. Right click the info area - chose create multi provider.
2. select the cubes , DSOs, info objects that you need for the multi provider.
3. On the right side of the screen, you will see all the objects that you selected and open the key fig and dimension and drag the ones you need to define the multi provider.
4. Identify the chars and key figs.
5. Acvitate the mullti provider.

If my understanding is right, you want to create an ODS based on a database table.
Here, I will assume that you already know how to create an ODS. Otherwise, do let me know so that I can guide you on how to do it.
Basically, an ODS consists of two important sections i.e.
1. Key Fields
2. Data Fields
First, we must identify what are the field(s) in the table that make its records unique. You can think of this as database's primary key(s) e.g. Document Number. These field(s) must be inserted in ODS' Key Fields section. You can only insert Characteristics in Key Fields and the InfoObjects in this section will uniquely identify an ODS record or line item.
Next, you can include the rest of the fields (either Characteristics and Key Figures) in ODS' Data Fields and activate the ODS.
Having done that, you have already successfully create an ODS based on a database table.

Hi Jini,
In the create screen u will find some settings related information which u need to check and then there are key fields and data fields option.
In Key field u need to include those objects which should make ur ODS Key fields. and then rest of the fields in the data fields.
For setting related information u can search in help.sap.com or even on SDN threads.

Creating a Real-Time InfoCube
When creating a new InfoCube in the Data Warehousing Workbench, select the Real-Time indicator.
Converting a Standard InfoCube into a Real-Time InfoCube
Conversion with Loss of Transaction Data
If the standard InfoCube already contains transaction data that you no longer need (for example, test data from the implementation phase of the system), proceed as follows:
1. In the InfoCube maintenance in the Data Warehousing Workbench, from the main menu, choose InfoCube ® Delete Data Content. The transaction data is deleted and the InfoCube is set to inactive.
2. Continue with the same procedure as with creating a real-time InfoCube.
Conversion with Retention of Transaction Data
If the standard InfoCube already contains transaction data from the production operation that you still need, proceed as follows:
Execute ABAP report SAP_CONVERT_NORMAL_TRANS under the name of the corresponding InfoCube. Schedule this report as a background job for InfoCubes with more than 10,000 data records because the runtime could potentially be long.

How to assign infoobjects to infocube

I am currently working on BI 7.0, implementing xRPM scenarios as given in the
BI Content for SAP xRPM.Of the various scenarios, in Cost and Time Analysis scenario, the Flow diagram shows Infoobject assigned to Infocube
Eg. Infoobject 0RPM_TASK, 0RPM_PROJ assigned to infocube 03.

How to create a text field (multi-line) that starts on one pages but finishes on another?

Hi,
I would like to create a multiline text field that the field starts on one pages but finishes on another?
Here is an example of what I want. The text starts in the top of the box (1st box) and would continue in the bottom box (2nd box).
I have Adobe Acrobat X (version 10.1.1) on Windows 7. I know I could use Live Cycle to create an expandable but I need to import this form to Adobe Form Central after therefore Live Cycle isn't an option.

I found a possible solution to my question which is working OK with form central (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/303650)
Here are the limitation of that option (that I found out so far):
it cuts in the middle of the word you are writting when switching to the next box
you can't copy and paste a long text
if you remove text from the first box i won't move text from the second box back up
you can't go back with your cursor from the second box to the first (e.g. to edit you text)
Any other ideas of how I can get that done?

How to create and illuminate a multi-indicator?

Hello all!!
I'm a complete noob with LV and first post to the forum.
I'm hoping I can get some help in form of suggestions or links to examples, tutorials or somewhere to just research info on my problem.
ON the front panel, I'm needing to put some indicators, each of which look like the LED indicator...but have the capability to have 3 or more different states....rather than just the two offered by the boolean LED object.
A simple example of something like I'm trying to do, would be a single indicator for a stop light...having different colors and captions/lables for different states in my code:
RED-Stop
YELLOW-Caution
GREEN-Go
I'd looked under the graphs->controls palette..and seen a 2d picture control and when rt clicking on that in the block diagram area, I saw the option for Picture Palette Functions, and in there saw options for draw round....etc. But I'm not sure what to connect this to, or how to control it associated with the 2D picture object.
Is that the way I'd have to do this? If so...any suggestions where I could look for an example ?
If not this..what would be the best way I should try to look into doing this?

later versions have a round color box But, as shown below there are a few issues
First it lacks the shading. second it does not size the same as an LED boolean.
Well we can fix one of those the shading is easy enough to duplicate. Just copy the LED color area to clipboard and import it to the color control color area at same size. A little futzing with sizes and viola'.
The attached example uses a shading I prefer but serves to illustrate

How to create temp Sequence for multi sessions

Hi,
I"m using Global Temp table and I need to insert Identity (or Seq-Number) column into it, but I also have multiple sessions for my sp and each case shold have it's own Seq-Number, starting from 0.
Is there any kind of "temp sequence" in Oracle ? that works in the same fashion like GTT , so multiple sessions each will get fresh zero anytime they will refer it.
I also found out that ROWNUM will not work in my case.
Probably I also can create SEQUENCE in my sp with some unique name let say with SID , something like:
select sys_context('SID') into tmp_SID from dual ;
CREAT SEQUENCE 'MYSEQ'||tmp_SID start with 0 .....

if several sessions will create sequence with same static name could it be collission ? Should I go with dynamic sequence name instead ?You cannot have the same SEQUENCE (i.e. "static name") created from multiple sessions. A SEQUENCE is a Database Object that is not transient, but permanent (until it is dropped).
Although you could "generate" dynamic sequence names and use them, you should look for a better implementation than running CREATE and DROP statements like that.
Furthermore, you would have difficulty in doing a bulk insert of multiple rows unless you add a trigger that fires FOR EACH ROW.
If you need to assign an increasing value to each row, use a ROWNUM to assign to a new column.
insert /*+ -- optional APPEND -- */ into target_table
select s2.*, rownum-0 from (select * source_table s where ..... order by ....) s2on the assumption that target_table as n+1 columns where the last column is for the increasing value. (rownum-0 is to set the first row to 0).

Hi Vivek,
In RSA1-> under Infoobjects -> under Infoarea (like Supply chain management), you can create your own Infoarea, under that two catalogs needs to be created one for charecteristics and another for Keyfigures.
under Charectertics Infoobject catalogs -> right Create infoobject-> you can create -> new one with complete new properties or use template or refernce infoobjects.
Characteristic infoobjects can be of typesm Char, Number, time and date.

Hi Vivek
An infoobject can have another infoobject as an attribute included in its attribute tab.
You can create there itself an attribute by just clicking create infoobject
An attribute can be again Keyfigure or characteristc.
An attribute provide some additional information about the infoobject
Basic eg: 0EMPLOYEE and its attirbute
you got many type of attributes Display , Navigational, Transitive, also again categorised as time dependent adn time independent

Hi Friend,
Creating Infoobjects
1. Go to RSA1 -> Modelling tab.
2. Click on Infobjects.
3. Create a new Infoarea.
4. Now create Infoobject Catalog for Characterstics and Key Figures.
5. Now create Char Infoobject under Char Catalog and Key figure Infoobject under Key Figure catalog.
Creating Cubes:

Why we create them ?
Infobjects : They are fields in R/3. As we require fields in R/3 tables we require infoobjects in BI.
ODS : This actually is like a table in R/3.
Cube : This contain the Key figures.(e.g Sales quantity, Amount etc)

hi,
As far as I got it.
You cannot have multiple Garnishment order but if a need arises you have to maintain it in IT216.
For that follow this path goto PA30->pernr->194->change->Garnishment->adjustment.
Since like order you cannot maintain adjustment also directly.
