How to create infoset query

Can anybody give me documents on infoset query and step by step showing how to create infosetquery. I will really greatful to you all.

Hi Preeti,
1. You can query the data using 'Listcube' transaction.
2. Instead of builing on tables, it sits on ODS (no need to worry about underlying tables).
3. Visible on the Bex 'info area' as like other infoproviders.
4. It generates additional key figure called 'Number of records' in the Bex. This will be useful for query.
5. No additional ABAP can be used. But in RSQ02, you can use piece of ABAP.
6. Queries created on data provider infoset can work like other queries including transport functionality.

goto SQ03 and create an User Group If U want to create Ur Own.
Goto SQ02 to create Ur Infoset by Giving Logical database name or Simple Database table
Then Choose What ever data U need to be included in The Qurey in field Groups.
Then Generate the Infoset
Now Assign the infoset to user group
Now goto SQ01 and Click on Other user group Button and choose Ur user Group.
Then in the USer group select Ur Infoset and then create Ur own Query and save this.
Now select the infoset query and goto More functions under Query menu and Generate report name.
Now Create a transaction code for the report name generated.
Now use the Tcode.
Hope U have got the basic idea of creating Queries.

How to delete Infoset Query in R/3

Hi Gurus,
I created a Infoset using SQ02 in R/3 and generated the query. Now I need to delete that Infoset query. Please advice me how to delete infoset query from the functional group in R/3.

Hi,
In SQ01 ,press shift+F7 then find your user group. then from infoset query tab ,select ur infoset.
and try to delete , I think, it should work.

Continuation this point...... i would like to know can we change the layout
which we obtain through abap query.. Actually i have a requirement where
i have to do the report in the abap query........now the client say he dont want
the output which i have got through abap query.......first ihave shown him
the ALV report , next i have shown him through ABAP list......but they wants the report in their own format.which they are using in lotus notes till now.......... Please let me know can i change the report which has been generated through Infoset.......and give him in their own LAYOUT........do we have any
option .......or we have to change the STANDARD code generated by the abap query.
tell me is it possible to change the layout and give in their format.....if you any body know please let me know......

hi use this by passing the pernr to fm and giving the dates low and high in the p_date1 and p_date2.

How to create quick query region?
I have got some tip from OAF developer guild:
OAPageLayoutBean pageLayout = pageContext.getPageLayout();
pageLayout.setQuickSearch(quickSearchRN);
But I don't know how to create 'quickSearchRN'.
So, I try to create a stacklayout region as quickSearchRN, and add it into pageLayout.
But there are two stacklayout region displayed. One in qucik query region, other in main region.
please give me some sample code.

Hi Jeyakanthan,
here is an example (put the like statement into the where field)
SELECT T0.CardCode, T0.CardName FROM OITM T0 WHERE T0.CardName Like '%%test%%'
The %% sign is a wildcard. If you need start with write 'test%%' and otherwise ends with '%%test'. For contains you need '%%test%%'. You also could combinate this statements like 'test%%abc%%'. This means starts with test and contains abc.

How to transport infoset query to Production serveR?

when i transport everything is transported to production server. when i run the transaction in production server it shows me the error saying . PROGRAM Does not exist .. how to resolve this..
can any one help me to transport my infoset query from step-to-step.

Well there is no button as such.
I hope you must have found the Transport button.
When you click it, it gives selection screen there you can find the redio buttons.
Export will create a transport request and Download will download it to local machine.
Let me know if it doesn't work. But you have to do more analysis as to how to go this way.

Nagarani - For debugging a infoset query, you have to create a query in SQ01 for the infoset which you are planning to debug. Once the query in transaction SQ01 is generated, Activate the same. Use the following path to generate program for created query from SQ01 QUERY--> MORE FUNCTIONS > GENERATE PROGRAM. Once the program is generated use the path QUERY>MORE FUNCTIONS --> DISPLAY REPORT NAME to get the report name generated. Copy the report name displayed.
While using the menu paths for generating program or displaying report name, make sure the query is selected.
In transaction SE38, give the report name and maintain break points whereever required in display mode and execute the report from se38.

Try to use Note 781193 - SAP Query: Remove field from InfoSet => AQ606.
We have solved our issue with deleting fields in tables.
